New Years' Resolution #1

I haven't really given myself the time and headspace I need to really consider my New Years' Resolutions yet. So I will probably make a couple of posts on the subject over the next week or so.

But this first one is easy. I will loose 15kg by Christmas.

I have had a weight problem my whole adult life. And I'm over it.

Not because of image. Not because of looks.

Well, maybe a little.

But mostly because of health reasons.

It's kind of like when I was in my early 20s and I became a vegetarian. Suddenly, the news was filled with the benefits of eating fish. Newspapers. TV. Radio National. Didn't matter where I was, I kept seeing and hearing the latest research saying that eating fish is good for your brain, blood, heart etc etc etc.

So I became a pescatarian. And I have been ever since.

It's been over twenty years.

Now, I just keep seeing and hearing the same message, only this time its about weight. Being overweight is a huge contributor to diabetes, heart problems, cancer, etc etc etc.

It's time to do this shit, and get it right. I am happy with the progress I made last year through minimising sugar intake and the Fast Diet (when I stuck to it).

So I can do this.

I am thinking of doing a water fast, easy to lose alot of weight, and no work haha. Dr shelton, I did it it a little over a year ago for 23 days, psoriasis healed up, lost 40 lbs, was boring as heck though lol.

Yeah the fast diet works for me, as I said in the post, though, I just need to stick with it. It's good in routine days (ie work days) but when i'm on hols it gets tricky!

its a WATER FAST as in ZERO Food at ALL. I think it is more for getting your body cleaned out and rejuvenated more than weight loss but the weight loss happens and some people claim their tatses change after not eating for 30 or 40 days, mine did not, I eat alot of garbage and drink soda, so I have to change my diet, it got worse I think when I stopped eating meat, I eat .alot of cjheese and pasta and not enough fresh fruit and veggie hha! It seems that sometime researcher share false research just for the sake of their personal matters just same as World War II When it was said that in carrots have more nutritions just because army have insufficient bugdet for food even today's research prove that carrots have no more nutritious it is just as a simple vegetable

Oh you make my heart ache with your scorn from societal dictates of vanity. Weight is such a complicated thing. ...so much more to it than we think. I urge you my friend to take hold of your livelihoods and keep faith. Our transient bodies reflect what we neglect in our souls. If you feel you are unhealthy then nourish your soul. I am sure you have passions that you could ignite. They can take you beyond trivial concerns of weight. Keep in mind there was a time when weight was a symbol of wealth and strength and not vanity. I know in this day and age health is a main concern of course but keep in thought that your outer shell is trivial in the true scope of things. You are more than that. Find that more and live it. seek what makes you rejoice and live in that abundance. It will bring you to peace and health.
