धर्म का प्राणतत्व : विनय (भाग # २) [ The Life of Religion : Modesty (Part # 2)]
प्राचीन भारत में गुरु-शिष्य का सम्बन्ध अत्यन्त प्रगाढ़ था । इसी कारण गुरु भी महान थे तथा शिष्य भी महान बन जाते थे । उस प्रगाढ़ता का मूल आधार था विनय । शिष्यों के ह्रदय में अपने गुरुजन के प्रति अटूट श्रद्धा तथा अखण्ड विनय का भाव था । उसी के प्रभाव से, उसी विनय के प्रताप से शिष्यगण गुरुओं द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली विद्याओं को सहज ही ग्रहण कर लेते थे । और गुरुजन भी अपने शिष्यों को योग्य बनाने में कोई कसर उठा नहीं रखते थे ।
किन्तु आज युग बदला हुआ है । आज के बालक तथा युवक विनय की महत्ता को नहीं जानते । परिणामस्वरुप उनका अविनय उन्हें अज्ञान के गर्त से निकलने ही नहीं देता । यह स्थिति अत्यन्त शोचनीय है । आज का समाज जब तक इस बीमारी का उचित समाधान नहीं करता, तब तक समाज का उद्धार होना अशक्य है । समाधान यही है कि छात्रों में विनय भाव को जागृत किया जाए और उनके नष्ट होते हुए जीवन की रक्षा की जाए ।
काका कालेलकर ने सिखों के गुरु अनंगदेव के दरबार का एक दृष्टान्त लिखते हुए विनय एवं श्रद्धा के महत्त्व को यहाँ समझाया है । घटना इस प्रकार है ।
सिखों के दुसरे गुरु अनंगदेव के दरबार में बलवंत एवं सत्ता नाम के दो गवैये थे । वे गुरु और सिख धर्म को प्रशस्ति में प्रतिदिन भजन गाया करते थे । अच्छे गायक थे, फिर भजन की मधुरता । श्रोता मुग्ध हो जाते, दरबार बड़ी शान से लगा करता ।
धीरे-धीरे उन गवैयों के मन में गर्व का भाव आ गया । जहां आरम्भ में विनय था वहां दुर्भाग्य से अहंकार ने अपना डेरा जमा लिया । बस, यही से पतन आरम्भ हो गया ।
हुआ यह कि एक दिन कुछ सिखों (शिष्यों) ने उन गवैयों से कुछ भजन सुनाने को कहा । उस समय गुरु अनंगदेव उपस्थित नहीं थे । अभिमान भरे गवैयों ने उत्तर दिया – “क्या हम कोई सामान्य गवैये हैं ? जाओ-जाओ, तुम्हारे जैसे अनाड़ी लोगों को हम संगीत नहीं सुनाते ।”
बात आखिर गुरु अनंगदेव तक पहुंची । उन्हें गवैयों के इस व्यवहार से बड़ा कष्ट पहुंचा । जब दरबार भरा तब गुरु उन गवैयों को ओर से मुंह फेरकर बैठ गए, उन्होंने उनका प्रणाम भी स्वीकार नहीं किया । गवैया ने पूछा – “गुरुदेव ! क्या हमसे कोई अपराध हुआ है जो आप हमसे इस प्रकार रुष्ट हैं ?”
गुरु अनंगदेव ने कहा – “यदि तुम मेरे शिष्यों को भजन नहीं सुनाते तो फिर मुझे भी तुम्हारा भजन नहीं सुनना ।”
खैर गवैयों ने क्षमा मांग ली । किन्तु उनके ह्रदय में एक बार जो अविनय ने प्रवेश कर लिया था, वह निकला नहीं । उन्होंने निश्चय किया कि यदि गुरु उनकी पगार नहीं बढ़ाएंगे तो वे भी दरबार में भजन नहीं गाएंगे ।
एक दिन उन्होंने गुरु अनंगदेव से कहा, “हमारी लड़की का लग्न है, हमें पांच सौ रूपये दीजिए ।”
गुरु ने समझाया – “थोड़ा ठहर जाओ । कुछ समय पश्चात् रूपये दे दिए जाएंगे ।”
किन्तु गवैये तो उद्धत बन चुके थे । विनय तो उनमे शेष रहा ही नहीं था । वे गरम होते हुए बोले – “हम इतने दिन नहीं ठहर सकते । हम आपके दरबार में भजन गातें हैं, उसी से आपकी और आपके दरबार की शोभा बढ़ती है, लोग आते हैं, भजन सुनते हैं । यदि आप रूपये तुरन्त नहीं देंगे तो हम दरबार में भजन गाने नहीं आएंगे ।”

Kaka Kalelkar has explained the importance of modesty and reverence while writing an illustration of Guru Nanak Anwar's court. The incident goes like this .
There were two singers of Balwant and Shakti in the court of Anangdev, the second Guru of the Sikhs. He used to sing hymns daily in praise of Guru and Sikh religion. There were good singers, then the melodiousness of the hymns The listener would be enchanted, the court would be very eagerly placed.
Gradually the pride of those singers came in the mind. Unfortunately, the arrogance took its camp where there was modest in the beginning. That's the beginning, the fall began.
It happened that some Sikhs (disciples) asked one day to recite some hymns with those songs. At that time, Guru Anangdev was not present. The proud singers replied - "Are we any ordinary singers? Go-Go, we do not listen to musicians like you."
The matter finally reached Guru Anangdev. He has been suffering from this behavior of singers. When the court was filled, the master sat back in front of those singers, they did not even accept their salutation. The singer asked - "Gurudev! Has there been any crime in us that you are so rude to us?"
Guru Anangdeo said - "If you do not recite my disciples to worship, then I do not even listen to your hymn."
Well singers sought forgiveness. But once in his heart the indecency has entered, he did not leave. He decided that if Guru does not raise his salary then he will not sing hymns in the court.
One day he said to Guru Anangdev, "Our girl is married, give us five hundred rupees."
The master explained - "Wait a little longer. After some time Rupees will be given."
But the singer had become crazy. Vinay was not the only one remaining. He said while he was warm - "We can not wait for so many days. We sing hymns in your court, the beauty of you and your court increases, people come and listen to the praises. If you do not pay the rupee immediately, then we will not sing hymns in the court."
विनय की Steeming
Lord Mahavir Swami told in the Uttaran Sutra that Vinay is the origin of the religion, which is the foundation of the castle that never recedes. In the same way in which the foundation of modesty is found, the life is never dashed, it always prevails. Dharmaraj was victorious in the battle of Mahabharata, because his life was modest.

आज के युग में जियादातर लोग हर चीज में वजह खोजते हे हकीकत ये हे की गुरु सदेव ने स्वार्थ अपना योगदान देता हे देश समाज और लोगो के विकास में फिर भी लोग समज नहीं पाते आज के युग में कोई अगर किसी सन्त या ऋषि को देखते हे तो सिर्फ यही सोचते ये की ये कुछ मानंगे आ गए कोई भी उनके योगदान का विचार नहीं करता यही ऋषि मुनि हे जो हमे हमारी संस्कृति से जोड़ते हे
बात तो आपकी सही ही है कि लोग हर चीज में वजह ही खोजते है कि ये ऐसा क्यों कह/कर रहा है इसका इसमें क्या स्वार्थ है इत्यादि. यही आज की वास्तविकता है. परन्तु फिर भी हमें अपने अच्छे कर्म करते रहना है जिसे जो सोचना है सोचे.
जी हमे अपने अछे कार्य को कभी नहीं रोकना चाहिये कियो की इस संसार के बुरे लोग तो चाहते ही यही के की अछे काये रुक जाए.

पहले के जमाने में गुरु और शिष्य की बातें बिल्कुल अलग थी आज के युग में कोई अगर किसी सन्त या ऋषि को देखते हे तो सिर्फ यही सोचते ये की ये कुछ मानंगे आ गए
