I love Seoul! i will visit it on New year 2017

Interesting photo!

I visited Seoul and Lotte World back in 2012. It remains one of my fondest experiences. It's the perfect mix of a traditional city and a globalized one.

Also attended the Buncheon Film Festival - amazing event!

I travelled to Seoul in 2004 and 2005. I went to Lotte World while I was there. I imagine many things have changed over the last 10 years.

Thanks for bringing back fond memories.

It's a nice photo, but not quite sure how it got $1,860 in 2 hours (and on the homepage).

Is there something special about it?

No, they just have rich friends who don't know how to accurately curate good content.

Wonderful architecture

Just not very good, poor composition and colors, be thankful you have some rich friends. If you're really interested in photography, perhaps look up the rule of thirds for starters.

I agree that this work is not my best. But please show your works that proves your point of view.

I don't have to be a photographer to understand basic principles of photography.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_thirds

The rule of thirds is a "rule of thumb" or guideline which applies to the process of composing visual images such as designs, films, paintings, and photographs.[1] The guideline proposes that an image should be imagined as divided into nine equal parts by two equally spaced horizontal lines and two equally spaced vertical lines, and that important compositional elements should be placed along these lines or their intersections.[2] Proponents of the technique claim that aligning a subject with these points creates more tension, energy and interest in the composition than simply centering the subject.

Here's 4 Post from the current Photography Contest that you can review for reference to proper composition. It's sad to see 1.8 K for the image above when the posts below will likely collectively not break $10, not trying to distract you from growing as an artist, but if you didn't have whale friends this wouldn't break a $1 and truthfully you have to see the injustice in this, from an artists perspective at least.

If you really wanted to support the Photography community here, you'd direct your whale friends to properly curate content ( like the posts above) that's deserving. Content over content creator, right?

You always complains about whale things but not mentioning why the photos are bad or how it can be improved. Rule of third is good and I surely know about this. But what do you think about this photo? Is it bad since it does not follow the rule of third?

Please open your mind and provide constructive criticism.

You took a poor snapshot of some fixture and your friends give you 1.8k, and now you're try to deflect from the real topic at hand. The photo is poor, and the above photo would be better with the horizon off the center mark too, yes. What makes it work to some extent is the palette is heavier and gives more weight to the bottom half of the image.

Go and tell to Michael Kenna with your criticism :) You can make him better

nice photo!

I appreciate how there is a play on words with Seoul, Korea. Seoul and Soul. It's great, I think there was a food truck that was "Seoul Food" which had great kimchi. Fantastic shot
