House Sitting - Rich Versions

Rich in colour that is! Some of the pictures you already saw in black and white yesterday.

I've spend most of the last 24 hours with these pictures and learning how to use Lightroom. First reaction about it was that it was reaaaallly fucking confusing, since I'm used to using just a simple Camera RAW extension for Photoshop. I started with watching one tutorial from Youtube and just started trying out everything.

Making the first image took me a long time to get ready, but I did make my own preset from it and used it to the rest of the images to speed up the process. The light I was working with was really bad and I had a hard time trying to get the colours right, I don't think I could have done it without using Lightroom.

I like to do a lot of brushing on images, so when I got the hang of it on Lightroom, it was great how much I could have control over everything. From adding highlight, to deepening shadows, saturating some parts and desaturating others. I think Lightroom is very smart, for example, the healing tool works really well.

The problem with having so many options for enhancing a picture is, for me at least, that I have a tendency to overwork the image and it turns to shit. It's not my style to work hours on one image and try to polish it to perfection, I still want my pictures to have a natural feeling to them.

There are some great advantages to working on my self portraits in Lightroom, but I think I'm gonna stick to using Camera RAW for landscape stuff, because they don't need as much work. Lightroom is a very heavy program and I wouldn't use it for a picture that only needs some little adjustment.

Special thanks to @kommienezuspadt, whose amazingly rich images always inspire me, and who gave me encouraging feedback on the first image I already showed him earlier today. ☺️

when are you going to show us your vaga ?

What is the vaga?

Must have meant that he wanted you to show him your vegan diet. ROFL

Oh that must be it! I'm not sure if my salad with bacon and cheese will qualify.

in Lithuania we have a bookstore network under this name. :)

This series of pictures is absolutely lovely! So elegant. Congratulations. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

You look lovely and I'm happy to give honest critiques from a professional standpoint of each individual image if you really are interested. I enter my own images into the highest level of competition and hearing the critiques from the panel of judges helps improve ones photography profoundly.

Just one thing to keep in mind, the viewers eye is drawn to the brightest part of the photo (focus and color as well), and other elements such as the curtains or highlights on the legs draw attention from the face.

There are other issues that can be easily corrected such as toning, white balance, cropping, foreshortening and posing issues. Light control is key. And yes Lightroom is an awesome program to work with once you get the hang of it. Definitely shoot in RAW, especially in low light and multiple white balance sources (window and tungsten). You'll never recover blown highlights or deep shadow details from a jpeg.

Keep at it! Looking forward to seeing more of your creativity.

captivating view😉
what would you choose and why if you could either:
travel around the world
or
travel to the moon?

Travel around the world!

Wonderful this sitting photography.... i appreciate this post.

You should see me standing, I'm great at that too!

Today first time i see you dear.... and you are looking so sweet.
i appreciate you

Sweet sensual perfect sexy tempting!

Sexy shoes, again😉

Oh you noticed them😇

Looking sexy. I prefer color photos than black and white.

Awesome dear .... amazing photography

You just give me feeling of Anna,so I would say Christian was looking for you the other day😉🤒

Who, what?

Fifty shades freed 😬

Noooooo, he's not my type.

Don't know which I prefer both are stunning. The light is perfect, very warming. Sounds like a lot of effort, you are good to us 💯🐒

And you are good to me, thank you :)

Keep them coming 💯🐒

Well ok then! I do love the first two just like before! This time with a deliciously colorful twist to add that extra bit of delight! Have a great night! :D

Nice work. Resteemed!

You are a real princess at home 😍

Tiaras don't suit me.

Oh you are so cute and modest but for me you are a queen 😍

I enjoy Evecovered pictures as much :)

With that mellow light your skin looks as silky as your shirt...

Can you believe it feels like it too?

You are very beautiful no matter whether it's colored or black and white. My personal opinion is that you look much prettier in full colors because taking out the colors from your photos takes a bit of natural beauty that could be revealed.

PS: you really like that shoes isn't it?

I can't wait until I get some colour on my skin for real, then it's going to be a lot more colour photographs for you!

Yes, I really do!☺️

I don't support the idea of tanning, it may not be so healthy for skin :D

My skin disagrees with you, it's very healthy to show the sun to it.

Of course if you don't expose your skin to UV light, it might be more harmful for it rather than to regularly stay in sunlight like for ten minutes a day :D

Mine has spent maybe almost 12 hours in the sun in the past year and a half.

If you make the calculation there is 1 hour a month which is 2 minutes a day for the months that have 30 days, isn't that enough?

Just kidding, that is extremely few hours of sunlight, you should go more often in vacations!

Wow, you really outdid yourself on these. As much as I always like your black and white, in this case I definitely prefer the color version.

I like the cold warm contrasts a lot. Although one has to see the photos in full resolution (thank you very much 😘) , so this area to the right doesn't capture the eye too much.

You did great on the skin tones, they come out natural and warm, but not "baked". Beautiful compositions too and of course a gorgeous model ;-)

Left them big, just for you! ❤️

I'm so happy you think I got the skin tone right, it was a challenge for sure! Too yellow, green, orange, red, purple... Took me like two hours just to get that part right, everything was easy after that 😂

To me the bigger size is essential, as a lot looks different, when the image is too small. Everything is more sort of concentrated/compressed and only when you view the photos full screen, everything begins to flow, the colors kind of "relax" and the eye can wander...

Skin tone is really difficult in painting too, even when you want an "artificial" look, like I often do. In oil painting I like the old masters approach to underpaint in (veronese) green, particularly in the shadows... working digital can make it a real challenge, and I can only imagine, how it can drive you nuts, with all the options.

But when you are passionate about something, there is a difference between a challenge you want to take on and a task you are supposed to accomplish. I'm sure those two hours went by like nothing and of course with the happy feeling of mastering what you wanted to do, everything else was a piece of cake!

Professional posing, better than most known actors, i hope to see more your talents

That's the thing, I'm not acting.

Looking sexy 😊

Nice shots!

Yessss! You're lovely in every tone... but I especially love #EveInColor

What about..... #EveIn3D ? 😁😁

OoOo now you’re really talkin’. I’ll take front row seats for that one.

Reilun 12 tunnin masentavan työpäivän päälle hetken kattelis ja ihastelis. Tuo miljöö ja tuollanen seura kelpais. Tosin, kelpais seura vaikka sitten tyhjässä yksiössäkin kunhan joku pehmeä missä loikoilla vieressä. Joo.

Go Lightroom! Glad you're getting to grips with it, told you presets were handy! So useful for a shoot light this with fairly consistent lighting and it's such a good way to really refine a 'look'! You'll be a pro in no time!

I wasn't against presets, put I was against using presets that someone else had made 😈

That’s fair enough, very authentic! They look great so I’d say your preset has done the job!

Very nice photos, with a sensual air in the gloom. Congratulations

You're intrinsic ability to capture people is truly astounding. As if the black and white photos weren't beautiful enough, you've found a way to give these photos an edge of romantic satire. I believe it's safe to say, I'm hooked on you @eveuncovered.

If I had to choose, I like these better. The richness of colors creates a very warm atmosphere with the deep red and orange. The contrast with the white, silk shirt against the dark sofa ties in nicely with the light and the curtains. Beautiful photos.

Thank you so much :) I'm so happy to hear you like these, as I used a lot of time to get them to look really rich and vibrant.
