"And it has been over a week you still haven't taken me out" States Jeff.
Serena: "Oh honey we've barely had time for that. We are still setting up our new home. We will as soon as we're done I promise." Kisses him as she dresses him up for school.
Serena and Dove just moved in to their new apartment. It is a totally different settlement from where they came. They fell in love with its serene nature and also has various cultures they'd like to explore. It also has some wonderful scenery of geographical structures along with accessibility to other services like a health care facility and a shopping centre.
Jeff is five years old and had already been use to living in their old home as a juvenile, it's the only place he could call home. Like how he almost lost his friend Pella (doll) who got lost for days believed to have been taken away by the trash collectors only to find it under the flower right under his window. Every morning he'd go there to thank it. For his parents had already travelled to different places across the country and occasionally took him along.
They are now helping Jeff who world'nt feel comfortable yet. Miss Carter his school teacher told Serena that Jeff seems disturbed as he's always distracted.
This is concerning enough for his parents. They decided to go out together during the weekend and went to a not far away restaurant. Jeff was part of the conversation for a while but shifted his attention away while Serena and Dave kept conversing.

On the otherside just a bit further from Jeff sat another couple Mela and Rufus, The Sigeras. Rufus is fond of photography. They had a pair of short glasses and a pair of long ones resting on their table. The long ones have some sweets in them with some berries in one. Rufus took a picture of Jeff with Serena and Dave in the background.
Mela: He looks cute and shy.
Rufus: And thirsty for some sweets.
Both chukkle together.
Mela: Nina might like him. Don't you think?
Rufus : Um...I don't know.
The Sigeras decided to meet Serene and Dave.
"Hi am Mela and this is my husband Rufus."
Shakes hands with Serene and Dave while Rufus tries handing a glass of sweets out to Jeff he refuses knowing they noticed him before.
Rufus got the message and shakes hands as well.
Serena and Dave introduced.
Mela: Could we sit?
Dave: Yeah. Sure.
Rufus: "sarcastically" Caught this fella spying.
Dave: Oh Jeff, he is just having a hard time settling in. We've visited here twice before and now we finally moved in.
Rufus: Figured, we usually know who's new here. It's our favorite restaurant and we visit at least 5 times a week.
Mela: We have a girl, Nina about his age. She's at her granny's for the weekends. Found a school for him yet, because he could join us at my school where I teach.
Serena: Where exactly do you live?
Mela: On the south side just a few blocks away.
Rufus: Alright guys we got to go. Nice to meet you by the way. You should come around sometime.
To Jeff "Don't spy on us again". Jeff smiles and they depart.
The two families hung together series of times strengthening their bond. Jeff was transfered to Mela's school. He hangs with Nina and they get along quite well. I fact they became best friends.
What I see?
Serena and Dave conversing while Jeff is busy eyeing others.
What I feel?
As a kid while it may be normal it's likely to have your mind engaged in something else, especially when you're being spoken to.
