Yes the light glow was on first look messed me up, oh-well at least I have HBD when it comes time, and those 2 lives left may lat a long time.
-1F/-18C for us this morning, no wonder I slept way to far in this morning. Still no real snow falls since Thanksgiving and Black Friday, but what we got has stayed around and not melted, so all those little micro snows are adding up and making the land look nice and clean.
How do you stay warm up there? Do you keep the fireplace roaring?
I'm glad to see that you and your Internet connection remain unfazed by such a hostile environment :)
We use an Oil heater, and space electric space heaters, we do have a fire place and some wood for emergencies. Not long ago we had to pay for every byte of internet, but someone started providing unlimited, so AT&T, and GCI, and the other telco's needed to start providing cheaper service contracts.
That is some Dr.Evil level stuff right there. Un-freaking-believable ... I'm glad to hear that a competitor showed up and lit a fire under their bum to heat things up a bit (pun intended).
Regarding emergency heating, I have a few kerosene heaters laying around here just in case the power goes out mid-winter. There's also a fireplace here where I can toss a few logs of wood (or pieces of furniture) if need be ...
