RunForSteem (or rather walk for steem) in deep snow

Well, I always hated running! My physique is not the best for running, i have short legs and my knees and ankles can not withstand the load as well. But i love walking, even in knee-high snow, even steeply up. So, dear runners, do not laugh at me just because i did 9.66 km in 2:47:39! I took breaks several times to take pictures!

I used sport tracker application on my phone, this is the map (periphery of Miskolc):

Walking is the best sport for your health. Don't worry if you can not run... Walking is far enough. Walking for steem is also great! Taking these good photos is amazing. I will read about this challenge right now... You gave me an inspiration... Thanks for this. Loves from Spain. :)

I agree! I used to walk very often, at least 2-3 times a week. Most of them is a short walk, not more than 5 km, but up and down. Sometimes i walk 25-30 km in the forests.

Walking in the forest is amazing. With the voice of nature and clean air... I was walking on routine in city, and I realized that wasn't a good idea, Now when I have the time, I go to the natural place to walk. But 25-30 kms. That is not easy for me with terrible back problem. Have a healthy life.

hello whether you believe it or not you did really good it takes on average 3 miles an hour walking . At a steady Pace running you can do a mile in 7 minutes. So don't beat yourself up you did practically nine and a half miles in 2 hours and 45 minutes in the Snow you did great if you ask me and I'm a Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor and I've trained from marathon runners to bodybuilders and plenty of sport-specific training clients. So don't beat yourself up about it you did great if you do it next time you can be pretty sure depending on the conditions you will drop your time and you will go a little faster and that's constant progression. So keep doing what you're doing try to keep the same route that you did that's how you'll be able to grade yourself if you've progress. So I'll be waiting on your next post from your run. Keep up the good work champ.

Thank you for the motivation! Of course i have much better results in fast walking, the best was 8 km/h, and it was just walking, not running.

Elismerésem mind a távért, mind pedig a fotókért! Főleg ebben az időben. Kissé posztapokaliptikus némelyik kép. :-) Még diákként túráztam arrafelé, annak már legalább 25 éve, jó lenne újra szétnézni. Azért én megvárom a tavaszt! :-)

Köszi! Amerre jártam, végig lepukkant hétvégi házak, egynémely hatalmas méretű, de már rég nem használják. A földutakon hatalmas pocsolyák vékony jéggel, rajta hóval, így vigyáznom kellett, hova lépek. Ahol lehetett, ott futottam, hóbuckáról hóbuckára ugrálva. Legalább nem unalmas :)))

A kérdés, hogy miért futottál! Mert akartál, vagy mert jobbnak láttad! :-)

Inkább gyalogoltam, gyors tempóban. Bár előfordult már, hogy kutyák elől kellett futnom, fel a fára, de az nem Miskolcon volt és nem most, hanem legalább 30 éve. Hülye gazdájuk rám uszította őket, mert azt hitte, lopni akarok. Most már nem futok el a kutyák elől, hanem négykézlábra állok, és rájuk ugatok. Ettől úgy meglepődnek, hogy nem bántanak :)))

hihetetlen, hogy mennyire szerteágazó és motiváló ez a platform. mindig elámulok! gratulálok a távhoz, főleg, hogy hóban mentél végig. Fotós szemmel pedig igazán jól néz ki ez a sok elhagyatott jármű és telep.

Köszi! Te is kipróbálhatod, csak kell egy mobilalkalmazás hozzá, ami megmutatja, mennyit mentél vagy futottál. Engem kifejezetten vonz az extrém terep! Kidőlt fák, patak sem jelent akadályt. Persze sokkal lassabb!

Általában kirándulni és biciklizni szoktam télen nyáron, de lehet legközelebb teszek egy próbát a futással :)

Everyone goes at their own pace, it doesn't matter if you were slow or fast. I think stopping to take all those pictures was well worth it, because you got to show everyone what your walk was all about.

Lol, tbh, I can walk for hours too but not run; also, wow, these pictures are GREAT!

I liked the picturesque panoramas! And the trees in the snow! Wonderful photos!

Running is fun, but sometimes you just gotta slow down and sniff the roses (or take some pictures). A long winter hike can be just as beneficial for the body and soul! Also that is one cute cat!

your post is always superb or speechless,i carefully read all about,you are not so fat,looking beautiful ,not old you can run or jump,not feel lazy or weak,we are better then other who have disables.your pictures are so beautiful specially snowfalling
