Yes i used the word 'you' because I do not code and have no influence on decision making. It was used in a generic way and should probably have been expressed with a little more thought given to my choice of words. I was not addressing any specific individual, just spouting my own opinion.
There are very valid reasons for not wanting to verifying identities of account holders and yes i agree there are very valid reasons for holding more than one.
It has been suggested to me that certain entities have a vested interest in Steemit/Steem and other competing platforms and tokens not achieving mass adoption and not becoming a solid and useful financial tool for communities. If we are unable to deal effectively with their interference these kinds of platforms will remain largely irrelevant imho

Didn't mean to rile you or anything. The language in your first comment suggested to me that you did see some way to fix the problem, and that someone (presumably with coding skills) could execute your plan. I was just trying to coax something actionable from that, where apparently no such thing existed.
