I went to Changelly.com and couldn't even get past the first page. Everytime I tapped on the LTC to look if there's steem my keyboard pops up right in the way . I tried a few times but if it's that hard just to look at it and get past the first nevermind signing up . Then it's going to be to difficult for me lol ! I don't care to try even cashing out steem after hearing all the hoops you need to jump through when I've never done it before ! And I don't even have a account at polonex or whatever blocktrades I guess ! I just wish or hope for the day that it becomes easy at least ! Thanks steeming on l😆😊they sent me a email some day I will try to figure it out when I have more time ! Lol

with blocktrades you don't need an account, it can do direct conversions just as changelly. Just fyi.

I think Blocktrades is limited to Steem/SBD -> other crypto.
I don't know of a way currently to get fiat (e.g. US dollars) from Steem/SBD directly. Changelly (just like Blocktrades) only works one way USD to Steem, not the other way around based on my understanding.
But again, the point is that you don't need accounts (like on poloniex) to make conversions on Blocktrades or Changelly. Downside is that you may be exposed to lower conversion rate (get less for the same money).

:) That's what Steemit is trying to sort out. A Social Media interface that works on top crypto but without it being right in front. It would indeed help to have some direct conversions from the Steemit wallets into USD and back that are a seamless experience to everyone. I hope we manage to achieve that sometime in the near future!

I look further into it when I decide to do it ! I'm using a new keyboard that pops up in the way of your pop up list ! So I can't read it . It's hard to explain and can't screen shot it because it goes away as soon as I tap on it ! Lol I'm too busy right now and when I'm ready will look more into it ! I used Changelly to convert Steem to Bitcoin ... and created a Wallet Here to transfer the Bitcoin to -- www.bitgo.com/instant
... and opened an account here to deposit the bitcoins to my Canadian bank account.

The only downside is that you need to deposit a minimum of 0.2 bitcoins, which is $228 Canadian right now.
It took me a long time to research my best and least complicated options.
OK so you also needed to open an account at. - www.bitgo.com/instant to change your bitcoins into Canadian currency ? And at that time does it automatically go into your bank account ? Bitgo is a Bitcoin Wallet. You could probably use any bitcoin wallet out there.
Steem must be converted to Bitcoin and then converted to your local currency.
The Wallet at Bitgo is where you tell Changelly to send your Bitcoin that they just bought with the Steem you sent them.

Canadian Bitcoins will take the bitcoins out of your wallet, convert it to Canadian dollars and direct deposit it to your Canadian Bank account.

I did it 3 times before the price of Steem fell. Now I power up instead.
The money went through to my bank each time. I was worried too at first but it works.
