Looks like Steemit reputation score has changed again.
I was (6) and now (51)
Search on steemit for "reputation" and found nothing recent.
Anyone interlligent human has any clue on what it means now?

thanks, when it first came, it was not only misleading but depressing.
I woke out last week and (-5). what have i done? then after some search, question and help went (4) and then (5) and last was (6). So, still :-) now.

They compressed the reputation scale and multiplied by 10. Whereas it was formerly a scale of roughly scoring 0 to 10, it is now roughly a scoring scale of 0 to 8. Therefore, by proportions, 6/10 = X/8
Solve for X and multiply by 10:
10X = 48
X = 4.8
10*4.8 = 48 (multiply by 10)
48 is fairly close to 51. I got similar results with my reputation. Of course, the real calculations are a computer algorithm and much more complicated. My explanation is a rough approximation of the algorithm.

The new reputation apparently is from 0 to 100, so it will be more precise than the old single digit one.
Not yet sure if there will be negative values like before, but we'll apparently see that as well.
