Have you recently posted, or attempted to post on Steemit?
You may have noticed a new button at the bottom of your post which is labeled "Promote".
This button allows you to spend your hard-earned Steem Dollars to purchase space in the new "Promoted" tab, which all users now see along the top of the Steemit site.
As of this time, there are only about 4 posts under the "Promoted" tab, leading me to wonder as to how many are even aware that this is available- I know I didn't!
I spent some Steem Dollars, and was immediately in the category, on top of posts that were many hours old.
Could this be the right time to get into this new means for self-promotion of content on Steemit before everyone else realizes it? Perhaps.
It'll be interesting to see exactly how this "Promoted" tab will alter the future earnings on the platform- will this make it ever more "Pay to win", or is it exactly what we needed to combat the lack of visibility on posts WHILST helping to fund Steemit and draw new users?
Time will tell.

i tried to use promote and have gotten some pretty good results!
:D i like the new features can't wait to see what's coming down the pipe
I guess it's the new way to go! I can't believe I only just discovered it. Glad it worked out for you, and it's definitely cool to log on and constantly see new things coming out. Cheers!
This is the first I've heard about this new feature. Actually didn't notice the promoted tab until now. xD I'll have to try it this weekend on my next post and see how it goes. How much did you pay for the promotion? Does it depend on how long you want your post to be in there? I'm wondering if it's worth loading my account with some Steem Dollars expressly for this purpose, or if I should just use the small rewards I've gotten so far (which really isn't much).
Umm, there are dozens/hundreds of post in the promoted tab... they all don't load right away. Scroll down and more will load...
You're absolutely right- shame it took me a while to realize it, after uploading this. Thanks for the comment, though.
I think that feature is only a few days old, so you're not late to the party or anything.
LMFAO, I just realized it. Everyone already left the party, but they left behind some punch, so screw it.
