Today looking back into 12 hours of reward pool history we see that:
Total Payout was: 45,567.6
Dust accounts got: 6.02% on 7846 posts
Half got more than .34
This one got 287.80sbd.
Newbies: 6.98%
Half got more than .80.
The top ten are spread from 85 to 34.
Roughly 20% of that ~7% went to the top ten, out of 3908 total authors.
Users: 14.71%
Half got more than 2.47.
The top ten posts got 904.54, or 13.8% out of 2649 total posts.
Superusers: 34.21%
Half got more than 11.12.
Adam Kokesh got 1072.25, just 7% of the category total, but it looks like he has taken a hard one for the team.
If you look into the situation closely you will see that a whale has stepped up when s/he didn't have to do that.
Hero: 28.51%
405 posts got 12,704.52 for a 31.37 mean payout.
Stan got 473.22 for interviewing Evander Holyfield. Good going, Stan!
Haejin scored three times for a total of 849.79 or .0669% of the rewards that the heroes got.
Superhero and Legend: 7.79%
With only 28 posts to split almost 8% of the reward pool a mean payout of 119.67 was achieved.
I wonder how much of that was self voting?

28.54% of the reward pool was given out by the top ten voters.
One of them gave 9.27% on just 16 posts.
That same account took all ten of the top ten largest votes.
It looks like we lost El Yaque's report, I hope he comes back.

I'm also looking for more folks putting out breakdowns of how the few at the top are screwing the majority of the bottom out of rewards that would have attracted more users.
Any accounts over 80mvests that continue to vote make the game unattractive for anybody with less than 10mvests, it's just a fact in the math.
I think the whales are better served by attracting small accounts to invest small amounts, but who invests in something that only rewards the top accounts, their whores, and sycophants?
Certainly not the average user.

Forgive me if I am wrong on this, but the very nature of the system itself seems flawed, as a new user myself, only 30 days, you see videos on yt and tutorials, telling you to vote with around 100% power , after the post has been up for 15 mins or longer, and aim for the highest earning posts to get some reward back for my measly 0.01 cent vote, so people zero in on folks like H the crypto genius by default. then you have the wind up merchants that fish in the plankton pool to come give us a measly free vote, and shitty comment, and vote their own comment to 100%, god forbid you answer them, giving them the chance to do it all over again, frustrating much, when you are down at the sea bed.
Keep beating your drum, perhaps the cacophony will become overwhelming at some point.

Yes, if you are here for the rewards, and have only content to contribute, it is difficult to get going.
But, if you can find your niche, the rewards will follow.
It's a matter of getting out and getting yourself known as someone to support.
I think I found that tonight, I found a lot of truthers on here and followed them all and talked to a few, so now I have you the Anarchists and the truth movement to engage with, now started to clear out the people I followed just for follow sake, thanks for the encouragement and words of wisdom, as always much appreciated.
It's a pretty big flaw that you see almost everywhere. Try to stick with people that don't act like that and maybe we all benefit. I'm sure Steem will try to adapt some ways to prevent this. For now look up @spaminator. They try to prevent that kind of abuse.
I do not hang with the people that do that camb, they trawl through new posts and aim for anyone under 49 to do it to, I saw a guy the other day get it done to him on his intro post, the guy in ya face said I had to leave you a vote so I could comment to upvote my comment, and the newbie said any chance of more than 1% vote for me then, you see these people are in ya face laughing at new guys, no surprise when so many walk away, I will look up spaminator, cheers.
Yes. That's pretty blatant but it happens a lot. Not everyone is like that. Good luck here. It takes a while to get started but it's still better than the rest :)

I don't know how they are doing, i have no data, but i would suspect that they are not going after some abusers due to politics.

If you could reverse the lists that we do get, ie, the lowest value posts, the lowest value votes, anything to highlight the least among us.
If we can paint the top as taking advantage of their wealth, it should resonate with the more vocal of the bottom.

I am one of these new users. I write original content and for now post documentaries made by others that are usually out of print VHS tapes that are no longer available. Eventually when I get my act together I'll post some new documentaries/films that I have made myself. But as it stands I wouldn't drop any money into this place. It seems like it works just like all the people I run into here who call themselves "anarchists" but have little to do with or understanding of anarchism. I would be "voluntarily" giving my money away to some dweeb with fancy computers and programming knowledge who created some effective bots for Steemit. I would feel MUCH better about myself just giving the money to the first person I walk by outside asking for change and would much rather do that right now. Perhaps my opinion will change as I understand how this works more and time goes on, perhaps not
By investing you gain more influence over rewards, if it drops below .5usd I would look at buying in.
