Hi everyone, this is Fyde.
I'm back because yesterday I've put an artwork Kinou, and today he offers a free sharing !

This paintings tickled my curiosity and I wanted to learn more. Kinou is a person I know but I did not know the artist. (Kinou is like Keanu) I made contact with him, we talked and he told me he spends a free time part to create paintings but in a very discreet way.

To introduce the Kinou story, it's certainly similar to lots of other people, a painful separation, a dad who finds himself alone in a new house with her daughter. As time goes, this desire to draw and paint is now a real thing.
His style came after spending some time on photos of its smartphone, where he tested different filter effects. And by dint of trying, he reached a winning result by placing the filter "Negative" on a portrait :
he had found the subtance of his future paintings !

In our discution I entrusted him I shared one of his paintings on Steemit. Curious too, he asked me lots of questions about this new social network: he quickly realized!
That's when he told me :

"If you want, made another article and gives them the opportunity to make paintings themselves !"

That night he sent me pictures he took during the realization of his last painting (even for a girlfriend !!!), with a small summary written each time.

If you like this model creations and you wanted to have one, Kinou tell you how you do !

  1. It all starts by the choice of a photo. Here Kinou realizes a portrait and the original looks like this :

  2. It applies the "Negative" filter on the original picture and the picture turns into black and white, with outlines of pixelated. I guess all smarphone have this function under a different name) .Now go to your printer to output one copy if you are confident or more copies as a precaution.

  3. Next comes the step of cutting any black areas. After several try, the scalpel is best to cut (but a cutter or chisel works too). The large pixels of the image makes the cutting easier, contours are easier to follow.
After removing all the black parts, he gets it.

  4. On the canvas it positions the white parts of his portrait. For that nothing moves, it takes several objects (found in garage) and places them on all the white parts cut.

He blocks all the little pieces and angles with screws, nuts, bolts, metal plate, all you want long as it makes the weight and the paint will be on it, will not be a problem. The adhesive tapes are there only to that the frame does not move.

For the choice of paint, a black spray paint entirely conventional, buy at the store around the corner.

  5. He goes vaporise a first paint layer : 30 cm above.
He repeats this operation 3 times with a pause of 2 to 3 minutes between each coat of paint.

  6. At this point, you can either remove all the objects used in weight directly after the last coat of paint or you wait about 30 minutes before everything off.
With experience, Kinou not wait and removes all.

  7. Finally, remove the support and the magic works !

A beautiful portrait is revealed before your eyes! The technique of Kinou attracted to many people for whom he made paintings, and today he offers its method.
Try for yourself and gives life to all your desires with this way of doing

Interesting post. Thank you.

Looks cool! I did something similar a long time ago with an image of Che Guevara. with the mask made out of silver foil and then placed it on a slice of bread and toasted it :)
