I am trying to help you. This is not a rant and I have no intention of bringing anybody down.
Just trying to help you. And this is my personal opinion.
I see you
Please, don't sent me messages to upvote you. I can understand that maybe this kind of approach could be acceptable in your culture/country and maybe it works with others.
BUT, it doesn't work with me and many other people in this platform. We consider it spam and annoying. As much as I respect your point of view, I demand mine to be also respected and I am clearly telling you what I want. And I don't enjoy deleting or ignoring messages, but I do it , when I get these kind of messages.
Spammers are spammers and I don't care about them. I am spending valuable time to write this post for those , and I believe they are many, who genuinely think it is the right thing to do.
Well, it's not. Most of us see this kind of behavior not help asking, but begging and I wonder if you want to be seen as such.
So, here's what you could do instead.
Give and Engage
Let me tell you a story… Back in 2012 there was a desperate civil engineer in Greece called ilias that was hit by a huge financial crisis and was almost out of business. Yes, that was me. Don't remember how, but I found a British blogger located in the Philippines named Chris Ducker. I saw something in Chris that inspired me. And for a whole year , I shared and commented all his blog posts. And when I say commented , I mean a page long comments most of the times. And I bought his books and I took his courses and I went to his seminars. For example, in 2013 I paid 1000 euros to travel to London to attend his first ever mastermind. I give him first all the value that I could and I never asked for anything. He gave me back. He personally consulted me and helped me grow my business, he remembers me by name, he even called me out in his last event and in front of 350 people and said that ilias was one of the two people in the event that supported him from the beginning. That felt really good I can tell you. Now, Chris is a New York Times best selling author and multi millionaire and of course I don't sent him PMs , but I know that whenever I need him he has my back.
Do first to others , what you want them to do to you. Do you want an upvote ? Fine . Why don't you upvote me first ? I know that your vote is next to nothing, but it doesn't matter. Sometimes it is the gesture that counts. Everybody wants to feel that he has the support of his peers no matter how much dollar value this support has. And , we all see who votes us and we remember them and we remember them better if we see a certain name over and over. And what happens then ? We give back. And most probably we give back more than we receive.
And there's more. You can resteem my post. That could be more valuable than your upvote, because more eyes will see the post and more people can potentially vote it. Can you guess what happens when someone does something valuable for another person ? The other person gives back. And he gives back more. Hope you get what I am trying to say.
Wanna chat ? Do you really really want to engage in a conversation with me ? Leave a comment in a post. A meaningful comment. A comment like "nice post" or "awesome" are NOT meaningful neither welcome. Show me that you read the post and add to the conversation. If you don't have anything to say, it's all right, don't be forced to comment. Do it in another time that you would have something interesting to say. You will find plenty of opportunities to do so. And when I see you enough times in my blog then you can send me all the PMs that you want.
This is the secret of success in Steemit. Give first without asking and engage with other steemians. Simple as that . Give and you shall receive.
Be exceptional and no one will deny you
You may be new to the platform, you may have a little steem power , you may feel like a small fish in a huge ocean. It's all right, we all started from somewhere. You may see whales vote your friends and you get ingored. You may feel lost, disappointed and frustrated. Instead of whining about Steemit, deal with it. Life isn't fair, neither is Steemit. Instead of begging for a small vote, be exceptional.
Be so good that everybody will notice you. Your friends write 500 words ? You write 2000. They post a photo? You post a photo from a pro camera and with lightroom editing. They make videos from their garage ? You make a video with proper lights and sound. I think you get the point. And I think I can hear you saying that I am new , I don't know this and that and my English is no good and …Stop it !!! Yes, you don't know YET … You can learn and you can practice and you have to be patient. You have to put on the work and you have to put on the hours. Do you want Flauwy's or Pappa-Peppers rewards ? Well, me too. Do you know how many posts and how many videos they published day in and day out ? They worked their @sses and they became exceptional and now they reap the rewards of their hard effort. And go check their first posts. They sucked. Just like my first posts, just like everybody's first posts. But they persevered , they consistently improved and they became awesome. And I sure they never asked for upvotes from any one. They EARNED them all.
Don't be a whiner and don't be an asker. Be a hustler !
Be patient, be great and in the end no one will deny you.
Be awesome and you will get what you deserve.
And until we all get what we deserve…
Be healthy, Smile and Steem.

Good point and I do my best to post about the same issue.
Link
If we do not help them and show them how to have etiquette. It will be our problem.
Keep on steemin’
Liked your post. We have to do our best to educate people.
If they can adapt good for them.
Good read and totally agree, cheers mike
thank you mike. :)
I get sick of people who comment right away without even looking at the message. They copy and paste on every post they can find trying to play the numbers game. Someone said "nice video" to a 15 minute video after 30 seconds lol
everyone wants something for free but fail to join the conversation and add value
ha...ha.. yes , I often read spam comment on my post, that is annoying. :)
It appears to me you are doing exactly what you don't like people doing
I think his meme was meant to be a joke. It's just an illustration of how he (and most of us) feel about people who don't even bother to read the post and leave comments like... "Good Job," "Awesome," etc.
good job , awesome meme...
LOL!
what makes you say that? takes you more than 120 seconds to read all that? sad for you lol
man, you are fast, let's all agree οn that. :)
in steemit there is good moderation and they catch a lot of these multi spammers.
hahahha all the time
Lol
I am laughing because I'm a culprits.
I do feel like getting the world in a day. I would have been in this platform for years without knowing this right step to follow. Your God sent @illiasdiamantis. I see why they do say that "the patience dog eats the fattest bone"
Thank you. Actually, you were the reason I wrote this post. I could have easily deleted your message , just as I did with so many that I received. But, then I thought that I should something more productive about it. Spend some hours to write this and now I have something to sent back if I get these kind of a messages.
And now you have more knowledge and more choice.
You can act accordingly. It's in your hands.
Steem on !!! :)
Simfono apolita!
Off topic...
Are you currently working as a civil engineer? I work in the same general field (architecture - renewal / restoration) so I'm curious what type of projects you might be involved in!
Cheers!
Thanks for resteeming.
I am specialized in store licences ( bars , cafes , restaurants etc ). But I am leaving the field to become a pro blockchain blogger. If you have some projects we can work , lets meetup and discuss becuase most probably I will leave the office to my business partner.
It was worth the resteem!
Where are you located?
I wanted you to know that I know the resteem . It's not that easy with the notification system that we have.
I am located in Athens.
This is exactly the kind of novel attitude this community has which I love... How many other communities would users take time to really try and educate their community and bring them up to speed with important life lessons that will help them find success?
Seriously, instead of hating on spammers (often from different cultures and societies with different kinds of values), this post perfectly encapsulates the way our community is taking the patient approach, trying to bring everybody together and build a consensus...
This is really important message and one that needs to be amplified...
A Resteem for you for having a very human and personable story of your life to share with us! This adds value to our blockchain! xx
Thanks for resteeming.
It wasn’t a long time ago , that I also got pissed off by spammers. But I have a friend that operates an NGO that helps refugees and educated me in their culture and way of behavior. It really opened my mind.
Different people have different perspectives and we should respect the model of the world of each human being.
No worries! It actually all ties in with my latest article. I was writing about how the rewards-pool incentivizes reaching out with the community and trying to build on a culture of genuine wealth-creation... Everybody here has at least had one thousand dollar idea... If all of these ideas could be captured and held in one place, that would make that place the most dynamic and exciting center of activity in the world!
But how do we do this is the culture is divided and schizoid... If people have this idea that somehow Steem has this mana-from-Heaven value that comes out of nowhere...
That cannot work, there's nothing sustainable about that kind of model... People have to be incentivized to do their absolute best, to share something absolutely unique, pertinent, timely, helpful, informative... This has real value... This is how social media should functions.
But yeah, I specifically made reference to the fact that posts like yours are actually the norm on Steemit, not the exception... We all have a stake in educating each other, helping each other grow, and rewarding each other's absolute best behaviors and additions to this blockchain.
You can check it out here if you'd like to see my appraisal of this community and how absolutely delightfully it is all coming together! Warning, slightly starry-eyed and inspirational content!
Thanks for your participation and involvement in the chain!
Peace and love,
Hae-Joo
I also see Steemit as a huge social experiment. It's in our hands to make it work in our collective favor or we can screw it over and return to our facebook misery.
Amen Ilias xx
I have to say I just re-read this post and actually really love the tone! It's a great message and I'm glad I resteemed it :)
A+ for motivational character building speech! xx
I am so grateful and thankful for this article! I am not as sensitive about the upvote requests; however, I strongly align with the points suggested in opposition! Being self accountable is a priority, in my opinion. These points have been well presented, also. Thank you for putting it out there!
Like I said , this is only my opinion. People can do whatever they think is right and live with the consequences.
Thanks for resteeming.
YES! 🙌
thank you @rok-sivante :)
Nice article Ilias, you took a lot of time to express many of my own thoughts!
I disagree only in on thing, I do not think one should see what others do and do better. One should try to improve their own actions.
I cannot do better than you, because you are unique in what you are doing. I cannot copy you, I can only take ideas from you and in a way implement them in my thoughts, so that I create my own idea.
If my yesterday's article was good, this means I can do better next time. If my yesterday's article sucked, it gives me a clue what to avoid.
And now that I proved I read your article, upvote for upvote ? lol :P
I really like the way you write and how you present your posts.
Thanks for introducing Chris, I did not know him to be honest : )
Let's keep smiling and steeming!
I see your point . Here’s mine : basically I focus on myself and use others as a measuring stick. When you are solely focused on you lies the danger of a slow development.
Take the post example. If you post 1 word per post , 2 words per post is an improvement. But when you see others post 500 words per post, you may realize that 2 words are not enough and try to up your game and thus speed up your development.
I always loved some good ol’ friendly competition.
Chris is great . But i am biased to be honest. :)
You gave me enough flatter so you have my upvote. Now follow for follow . :)
And seriously you are excellent writer yourself and there is not doubt in my mind that you will be successful here.
Be healthy and Smile !!!
I would like to respond something really clever to this, but my brain is burnt from my previous post and the research over it ...
Don’t worry, preserve your precious brain cells . You will have plenty of opportunities. :)
Good post man. I will need to have a look at Chris Ducker. Did he help with your engineering business or did you start a new business?
Are things picking up in Greece now or is it still the same?
Also, can I have an upvote?
He helped build a successful website for my engineering office and gave a kick in the butt to take action. I also met people that helped me along the way.
I would say it is worse. We haven’t figured out why “the crisis” happened and blame all the others but never ourselves. We don’t try to improve and develop. And this makes matters worse. I am not sure if there is a way out and as you will see in the very near future I am closing business and embarking on another journey.
Upvote ? Everybody gets an upvote in this blog !!!
But folow mi please . :)
Read your article plus the many answers in the comments section (most of them) and I have a point of view that differs from yours.
My main interest is not Steemit; my interest is in people. I see some terrible first posts and I open them to read. If I get a feeling that the poster is talented, (I'm a sucker for talents) I am happy to spend time on them, helping them to become better posters than me. Here is where I differ from you and many of the other good members - If the poster does not touch me and I see no effort made, I shut their post with either no comment, or a rather curt one, telling them what they are doing wrong and warning them that there are those who love flagging such posts.
So, here is what I am doing, as I do not find it easy to scroll back to older pages, they tend to 'stick'.
I have bookmarked your post, so every time I need it, it is instantly available. Maybe I'll also give the link to a few of the ones I don't treat as nicely.
.
So, a question. Do you find it right for a poster to keep asking, in his or her every post to the visitor to upvote and to follow and resteem? Should such reactions not be from the visitor, because he/she/ finds your post exciting/worthy/interesting/funny or whatever?
It is like a person asking their loved one, "Do you love me?" Is their positive answer worth as much as their unasked for "I love you."?
Still, I never ask and even say I am only interested in having readers - so I'm slowing down, not doing so well...
...should I frown?
:(
...should I start adding little gifs pointing out that they should....?
A point of view that differs from mine ? Great !!! Thank you for bring another perspective to the conversation .
I would agree on that.
Many posters do that ( including me ) , but probably less often than others.
That is an interesting question. These gifs you see are called Call To Action (CTA) and it is the action we want the reader to take after he/she finishes the article. Conventional blogging wishdom that cames from research says that if you don't tell the other person what do to, it is possible that it will do nothing.
If you have any research that says any different I will take it into consideration.
And last about the asked "I love you". Some people brains are hard-wired in a way that it is important to them to be reassured of the love of the other person or they need to listen to it. Don't be harsh them , it's their neurology that's speaking. :)
That's a nice topic for discussion. I find everything about Steemit and you know? I'm enjoying more and more here. I love reading blogs that carry messages that offer us help in understanding the system but also make great discoveries. I find myself in what you say. I ask nothing, I am curious about everything and it allows me to take a step back. I accept the advice, the ideas that can be given to me. I do not ask anything, I just like to share some things with pleasure. When I leave a post, it is because its contents appeal to me or may interest others. It's important for everyone. That was my message. Thank you for this post.
This is the right approach. There are some rules and a kind of acceptable behavior.
If you follow these you will get far in this platfrom.
Thanks for resteeming . :)
Thank you for the answer. It is normal to resteem since it is very important for everyone! Good end of the day ^^
Yπεροχη δουλεια για αλλη μια φορα!!
Σε ευχαριστούμε για το μοιρασμα!!
Resteem _))
ευχαριστω να εισαι καλα . :)
thanks for resteeming.
This is really true that we should never resort of begging for upvotes and resteems to the point that people don't want to help because the whole community thinks that they are mere desperate beggars.
You on the other hand was that have endured such challenging times which I could not imagine which I admire you so much.
Thank you for reminding me that I have to be grateful for everything that I have.
People carry this mentality from their surroundings, here in Steemit.
It's our responsibility to show them there is another way.
Thanks for resteeming. :)
That's why I'm doing this by scratch, if the worse case scenario comes then I'll buy some more steem with my money.
steem is a great investment.
Wow man. Really motivational. If you were in front of a large sum of people, you would had got a standing ovation. I totally agree with you on the whole part. Everyone should make it's way to the top rather than asking for excuses and all. I appreciate that you brought this up.
Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day ahead.!!!
He who wants finds solutions , he who doesn't want finds excuses.
Thanks for resteeming. :)
Yeah You are absolutely right.!
Your article touched me, because I'm new to the match and I have a great desire to succeed here. Although she did not write to anyone with requests. Many people write about mutual assistance, well, I to you, you to me. My opinion, if the good content, then I will react without requests to the post.
You are right . It takes work, practice and time.
Thanks for reading the post and resteeming.
If you have a specific question tell me .
Steem on !!! :)
Πολυ ωραιο αρθρο και ακομη πιο ωραια η ιστορία που μοιραστηκες!!μπράβο!!
ευχαριστω , να εισαι καλα .
Honest and in some way inspiring,to me.Well done, keep it up.
thank you.
I'm new to this so I really appreciate reading about the perspective of someone who has been here and is successful. I am starting with looking for those who post pictures, blogs, or articles that interest me...and liking them. It's good to know that my "likes" will be appreciated even though they are not worth much at this time. I have not resteemed anything yet...and will need to do some reading to learn the rules about it. Any suggestions for that would be appreciated.
Resteem it's just like share on other social media. You share/resteems posts that you liked so that your followers will read them too. Sometimes I maybe loose with my upvotes , I have enough SP to do so , but with my resteems I am strict and share only posts that I like a lot and totally agree.
Hope it helped . If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask me .
Steem on !!! :)
I get upvote-me messages all the time in Discord. It is a pretty hard thing to ignore or even explain to the people why we can't upvote million people per day....
Now you have a post to show them :)
Some of them really don't know, because they are either a complete noobs or because they never were in the environment where they can learn. Most of the people I encountered will gladly follow the examples on the server, but there are some who are really hard boiled eggs, no magic helps there. Have a great day!
Don't waste your time with hard boiled eggs. :)
This post just came in right on time. I am presently feeling frustrated at the progress of my growth in the community. I know I'm a newbie and I should be patient, comment reasonably on people's post, upvote and all that. But I just feel like so many things are not right here. There's like a clique some people have formed and the rest of us not in the clique are just wanderers. I wanted to make a post about what I'm actually saying but I just saw this post and I became a bit calm and also felt like it's an avenue for me to breath and air my frustrations. I feel the frustration level is one stage everyone seeking for growth has to experience. So I'll just be patient like you said and keep pushing.
Speaking about begging for upvotes; As little as my upvote is, I hate the idea of people begging me for it. I just think it makes such person look incompetent (can't find a better adjective).
Great post by the way.
Don't blame steemit . It's the human nature.
I also get little furstrated from time to time.
I spend hours and hours writing and answering comments to get a $20 and someone copies/pastes a fucking meme and gets $100. Life isn't fair, neither is Steemit. :)
BUT, I know my approach is right and I carry on. I know this $20 , will be $30 , $40 ,$50 and I will eventually reach $100 each and every time not whenever a damn bots picks my posts.
Plus , I know I give real value to people.
Steem on !!!
I'm not blaming steemit because we (humans) actually make up the community. so, I'm very aware it's the human nature. Thanks for your encouragements. Steem on
I found your post interesting and educational for this medium, I think it can help change perpestiva and although my vote is almost nil I gave it an upvote. successes
Thank you. In my book all votes are valuable. :)
In this article I find words of encouragement to go on and persevere in one's work because only with constancy can one arrive at a result. The tendency is to leave the first failures but the truth is that the obstacles must be overcome, this is what is also taught to children to make them strong adults. I agree that asking for votes by submitting articles of poor quality does not lead anywhere.
P. S. non conosco bene l'inglese ma con Google translate ho risolto il problema.
Google did good job translating .
Yes, we shouldn’t be discouraged by first failures or when we put a lot of work and we get little in return. It builds up with time.
To be fair and honest here, i am also guilty of this. I am want to grow also like them too, i have learnt my lessons now. Consistency, hardwork and improvement is what that matters right now. Thank you for inspiring my innet thought of soul.
It’s great that now you know. Thank you for being part of this. :)
I fully agree with your opinion and hope that these type of people to understand and read this ......90 %of people leave comment without reading
90% of people succeed nothing in life. karma is a bitch. :)
Friendly suggestion. Don't resteem/post too often. People consider it spam and they unfollow.
Thanks bro for your suggestion , I care next time
you explained the topic really really really really well! Mostly every day i received pm messages of ''vote me'' ''let's vote each other'' and stuff and ofc all those people were new ones. It's not that hard as you mentioned too, a simple good comment is all that takes and if someone want help he can ask in a form of advice i don't think anyone would deny this kind of help
You will be pleasantly surprised by how much people are willing to help if you ask the right way.
I'm not big in steemit or anything like it but I see your point and you're totally right. We see those people in almost every post and it's really annoying when you try to contribute with good content and then someone comes with an empty "Good Post". =/
People don't give nothing and expect the whole world to give them things... Nice post btw. really mean it. =)
As annoying as it is, we should learn to not pay attention. Nice comment. :)
well said
thank you.
good post. have a nice day and enjoy steemit :)
thanks. steem on. :)
i have published similar post like this, trying to tell people that good market sells itself. Its high time we wise up and give back to the community. Thanks for the nice piece
Thank you. It’s great that you educate you community. :)
There is a lot of comment spam on here. If you actually read the blog and make an Intelligent comment you will do better than just endlessly spamming the same "nice blog" comment. I've had people reward a bunch of my blogs with nice votes after I made just one good comment on theirs. I follow who upvotes me on steem world and usually return favor. What goes around comes around.
People actually see and act upon. Reciprocity is embedded in human nature.
And for the spammers there is always steemcleaners. :)
a very interesting experience. Many people today do not want to follow the process, just want to just taste it. thanks @iliasdiamantis has inspired me. Warm regards Indonesia Steemit Community. Nice post👍
Thank you. I see Steemit does great in your region and helps communities.
Salutes from Greece . :)
You are welcome.
Yes, the Aceh region in Indonesian, where Steemit first came to Indonesian. Two Indonesian curators also came from my place, Aceh. Thanks brother @iliasdiamantis
I never like spam messages , just annoys me . But people are doing and will be doing it .
just ignore them ...
You may have some good points there but I have come to learn that getting upvotes has less to do with giving others upvotes, writing good content or being exceptional. Most people who earn a lot are part of communities, others too bid with the bots and a whole lot of other techniques that aren't always mentioned by many..
I have one piece of advice that I recently read -- and that I didn't follow -- and that is to find a niche and participate in that niche. I didn't do this, so my followers are spread over all sorts of topics and might not necessarily care about some things I post. Certainly, you're right that belonging communities, buying votes, etc. can help with exposure. I'm just saying that working in a niche is probably the most effective tactic -- once you have tons of followers, you can go off on tangents. Again, I diddn't follow it. We have a saying . "Do as I say but NOT what I do." :)
In most cases I prefer do as I do not as I say. :)
This is also a blogging platform and you have to do all the standard things to build up a blog.
But on the other hand , I am not so sure if all the marketing "advice" is applicable on Steemit , since they are not many active users yet and the community is so strong.
Who knows ? Trial and error...
Thanks for resteeming.
there is all that. the politics , the cliques , the bots.
and there's a thing not always mentioned ... that most successful people DESERVE to be successful.
and many people believe that those who think that success is related to politics could be just creating excuses.
just a thought.
@iliasdiamantis Well said.
That speaks volumes!
I think I read the first line somewhere... thank for dropping by. :)
I m agree all of your point of view. And asking upvote is a relly annoying things. Thanks for your valuable explanation which help to understand others how they develop them in steemit.
Now instead of deleting messages I will paste this post. This is why I wrote it.
I feel like you've read my minds. Yes, I am a minnow and often see big payouts for low-value content. Sometimes comes a desire to give up as it all isn't fair, but I am a stubborn person, so I don't give up and keep posting. Despite all my circumstances I try to learn and to grow, and I believe sooner or later I'll feel significant.
Even now I am very thankful to those who supported me when I was an absolute zero :) I won't forget their support! And I also like the feeling when I support my followers with a smaller steem power.
Thank you so much for the right words. Sometimes a kick can be good courage! :)
I am glad that I gave you a friendly kick in the youknowwhere . Everybody needs it from time to time.
thanks for resteeming.
Hey, that makes really sense. I have never asked for upvote or resteem, i let people to that, and when they do it, thank you very much.
Recalling my early times at steemit, was really hard. You have to work your heart out to impress yourself, minnows and whales. I put lots of time and hardwork at steemit. It requires lots of patience, hardwork and love. A thousand miles begins with a single step. Thanks for this content. I will try to give and engage more.
Congrats for your effort. You took a lot of steps. I will be glad to see you around . Steem on !!!
Nice post
(It will never get old)
And my first post was awesome. I dare you to scroll down and find it.
to every rule there is one exception. of course it was awesome.
it couldn't have been any other way...
Did you actually see it ? :P
eeeehhhhh no ... I believe you...
still replying to all these comments.
upvote me freind , I follow.
I see this all the time in the comments of my posts. I have learned that this is going to be a normal thing on Steemit as some people do not learn. My grandfather always told you cannot fix stupid.
You give people the knowledge. If they use it, fine. If they don't it's their problem. :)
Kalispera... ilia exeis dikio.. oxi mono sto steemit alla se oli mas to zwi de prepei na zitame..

Very true words and I hope they find the right audience, but I fear they won't and as more people join the platform we will be doing more and more muting. I can only hope that eventually people learn that the path to success is not in numbers, but rather in generosity, caring and adding value here.
You mentioned @flauwy. How many see he has nearly 7,000 posts in 8 months? That's nearly 30 posts per day. And yes, most of them are comments. Good, thoughtful comments. Do the math on @pap-pepper's over 34,000 posts and you'll see it averages nearly 60 a day. Not copy/paste spamming comments, but real value-giving comments. Be like that and you'll not have to worry about your "rewards" here.
One bodybuilder said "everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but no one wants to lift heavy ass weights".
And they say this and that and they don't focus on the hours one has put.
Man, it's been a hour and still haven't finished answering all the comments.
But fuck it . It's fun . :)
I'm all day back and forth commenting and answering comments, and you're right...it's fucking fun.
and were making (crypto)money. how cool is that ??? :)
It's actually kind of amazing...and wonderful.
Well its true that you have to give to get something back, not only on steemit but in real life too!
Steemit is a miniature of life. :)
Mπράβο σου @iliasdiamantis !!! Πολύ ωραίο άρθρο!!!
ευχαριστω . :)
It looks like you upvote quite a bit. I don't mind it when people ask me for upvotes especially if I comment on their page which normally I always do upvote when I have some available.
To be honest , sometimes I think I upvote more than I should.
But the heck with it ... :)
I voted as much as I possibly could until I understood how the bandwidth limitation works. Now I try not to vote so much that it kills my ability to use this site during the day. lol
I hear this bandwidth a lot lately. Guess you have to be patient till you power up.
Yeah I doubled my power but then I could vote way more so I ended up voting too much and killing my bandwidth. If I get up to 1500 steem power I should be fine I think. :)
500 for starters to get the voting slider. :)
Yeah I dunno if that will help me. It will be hard for me to not go with the old "Go big or go home" adage. lol
Well put kind sir. I am new to steemit and I have had to use upvote bots so that I can get more exposure for what I KNOW is quality content, Investing time and a bit of your own steem can get you the exposure you need. There are also many other ways, there are contests, steemgigs, trading on the internal and external markets + more. If you have the will, you will pave the way along with others who are willing to help you. The golden rule prevails - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Besides, most people suck
Finding contest that is worthwhile has been difficult for me
Ι tend to believe that they are mostly waste of time.
Are you sure that most people suck ? I wonder whether you focus on the negative.
Many people believe that when we change perception , we change reality.
What would happen if you thought that most people are great ? Maybe you could start to notice all the wonderful people that are around you. :)
The paradox always is that by engaging with and supporting others, it usually works out better for you in the long run :)
One could say it's human psychology.
@iliasdiamantis - I would say 3/4 people I meet on here suck and by saying that I mean that they dont care about what I am doing and they only care about how well they do on here, its okay though Its a big world; I don't blame them.
Wanna tell you a secret ? Nodoby really cares about what you do . Maybe your mama and your wife if you are that lucky. Yet, some realize that they can best serve their utterly selfish purposes by being unselfish ... :)
Toν θεωρω business mentor μου.
This is all true and I totally respect this post and many of the comments associated with it. I came to steemit as some of my favourite content makers from youtube came here due to how youtube was treating them. I have followed them for years and respect them. All I can say is that with my limited capabilities in the digital world I would not, at present, be able to create as good content as yourself or them....I am working on it. However I totally understand where you are coming from and totally agree. :) Peace.
Just don't be too hard on yourself.
Try to improve. A little bit . But everyday.
1% everyday and you will get way further than you imagine.
Keep on steeming.
|Thank you my friend. I really appreciate that, :) Peace
:)
Amazing post,amazing story!!!
thanks.
