RE: Are you on the Steemit @Blacklist?

in #steemit7 years ago

It was few day ago I saw a flag on a post of a user whom I was/am following. I quickly checked who flagged it and there was two accounts one is @blacklist-a and the other I also don't want to mention. I checked that profile it was with some good steem power and reputation as well but didnt get any hint to support he was from steemit inc, maybe I'll check it again. But why they never leave any reason for the flag?

I'm pretty sure I know which post you mean, but I didn't want the focus to be mainly that.

Reasons are not compulsory when flagging, is my 'on the fence' response.

✌🏽

But at some point, I need reasons for flag so that I can avoid such mistakes later in my posts. I checked that profile again after reading your post, comments on that guys post say he's pretty much nearer person to NED, then why is NED on his blacklist?

"Maybe the largest accounts are there just to be excluded from Random curation bots, and not because they have done wrong..."

If there's a bot army upvoting posts and comments from folks proportional to their rep, and some accounts, perhaps Ned's, would prefer to leave the upvotes for others, that would be a good way to exclude themselves from those upvotes.

This could be also possible. But I can't see this really be true , why would he spend his time/fund/manpower on such things that don't make much sense at all and could be more controversial when there are tons of Major problem those should be respected first. On the other hand it seems to me like he loves twitter more than his own platform lol

Regarding Ned, in particular, two things he can do to make Steemit better is to encourage folks that are pillars of the community, like with bots that upvote based on rep, and lure new users to the platform, like on other platforms, where they're being censored.
