RE: Why Fitness Should Be About You, Not Trying to Obtain the "Perfect" Body

in #steemit7 years ago

This is such a great video. I think you nailed it when you mentioned how many people think they have to have a prototypical body type to be considered healthy. I have struggled with looking at the scale sometimes and thinking dam how am i the same weight. Then I have to step back and think does my body feel good, are my clothes feeling looser, does my face look thinner. I normally take progress pics to help keep me motivated when I get discouraged.

Thanks for the great read and I am glad you support and motivate others to achieve their own health.

Progress pictures are a better way to monitor change! It's hard to associate ourselves and our success just with a number & it's also difficult to see our body's changes everyday. Thank you for the comment :) I am happy you liked it and the message.

I agree I look back at the start of my first picture on my 50 a day push up challenge and my arms were not defined and I looked chunkier. Now I feel learner and my biceps, chest, and shoulders are are more toned.
Of course I always look forward to your post.
Thanks for the tips and motivation!
