"Destroyed" is past-tense and I don't believe that. Steemit is still a great platform although it has many issues. What project doesn't? Self-destruction won't happen overnight, if it happens at all, nor will it happen a week after a competitor is launched. My guess though is that if some of these mounting concerns are not addressed, then like a cancer, it will begin to erode slowly to a point where the participation rate simply dwindles. Those that are paying attention will have quietly powered down already. And the world will move on.
