Hi guys, quick update about recent @tipU updates:
Recent Inconsistency in Payouts
The recent update to @tipU voting schedule changed how the voting power is spend each day. Because of the change not all 20% of daily voting power limit was spend and thus lower profit was generated.
It is not a problem, as any additional recovered voting power will be spend soon or later but it may require some time before vote buyers will notice, that they can use @tipU upvotes longer than 4 hours a day :) I've also increased the max allowed upvote for a new post so this should help in spending the voting power.
Update To Vote Power Math
Steem blockchain still has an issue, where upvotes value is rounded up and the more STEEM POWER the voter has, the bigger the problem. In case of @tipU for example, a 1 SBD upvote was often made as an 1.1 SBD upvote, even though the calculations were right.
Thanks for the research done by @mys (Steem Voting weight % is not that linear as we may think) I was able to update the algorithm that calculates needed vote power.
The update allows @tipU to slightly scale down the upvote so instead of 1 SBD upvote, a 0.948 upvote will be made (for example) and the payment difference will be refunded. This should allow @tipU to save some voting power and increase the profit by... few %? I'm still waiting for the data here.

I think I know what you mean. In what units do you name post value, the $ sign? It's not USD for sure.
I agree that SBD may be misleading but if I write STU (steemit token units? does steem whitepaper mention it anywhere?) no one will know what it is:)

I always enjoy using your service but occasionally, your @tipu service doesn't work.. (check here) And I can't understand why @tipu says that it is running out of voting power even if its voting power is much higher than 80%... .
Everyday you can recover 20% of voting power, if you spend more than recover, eventually you'll run out of vp.

I think the voting should also take into account how much of the rewards go to curators. If the vote only comes through after 30 mins and you get a 200% vote then as a bidder you lose out significantly.

Please remember that voting bots are not for printing money - otherwise everyone would just make spam posts and use as much voting bots as possible, because you will earn anyway, right?
Voting bots, as I see it, are for promoting your post - gaining visibility so more people can see your post, see it's value and upvote it.
Currently, using @tipU, spending 1 USD gives back 1.1 USD (and proportionally to higher upvotes) in both SBD and STEEM POWER combined, so technically you're not loosing money but you can easily print SBD either.

Because you of the change in voting schedule I had to rework the APR calculations, should be ready to display very soon :)
You can check APR by going to steemdesk.com and checking delegations for user lavater or znnuksfe (for example). The recent SBD price drop hit the APR pretty hard.
@cardboard Sure. I'd love to see an actual APR, though that takes into account all the fluctuations and the auto-reinvest function, etc. Compound interest, yo!
