This was such a nice surprise! A welcome interruption from The Symbiotic Protocol. As someone who underwent my first major diet, I have to say that you captured every grueling second so accurately. Reading this, I felt like I was reliving the entire nightmare all over again. Get out of my head!
The first part has got to be one of the best works of literature ever. It set the scene so effectively that I can't help myself empathize with Lee. The descriptions were so powerful, and the imagery was painted quite beautifully. I felt my sweat drip with every word. The second part was icing that was completely necessary to complete the dish. It rounded up the story quite splendidly, and it really capped the piece nicely. The ending was just so perfect!
Nice to have little surprises like this to remind everyone why my bro @ezzy is king of painting imagery with words!
Hey @jedau!
Oh man, kind kind words indeed. Yeh, this was a story I had planned for a while and was in fact quite a bit longer than this short. I found there were many possible avenues be to explored with the concept. But I can't leaving the book hanging like that for too long, lol.
Thanks, my bro. I personally love pieces where the reader is thrown into the mix and slowly the story is fleshed out through pace and narrative. So your comments are, as always, much appreciated and mean everything to my writing.
May I also wish you congrats on the success you are having with your phenomenal literary artwork. An ingenious twist on perspective, very cleverly done.
Bless you and keeping on writing, my brother!
No, no, no, my brother. The spotlight is on you in this post :D In my opinion, the decision to write this as a short story really worked. Prolonging the struggle might stagnate the impact a little bit, but if there's anyone who could effectively spin it, I just know that it's my bro @ezzy
