It's the cultural mindset i fear.. Why would people sabotage bikes or steal them rather than using it responsibility to over.

That is the challenge of bike sharing companies in the SEA. There are people here that are still very uncivilized and have no decency towards public properties.

I believe uncivilised act is everywhere, as it's reported even in Europe, Obike location can be traced in the middle of sea, or river. So the only way to do with it maybe a better management system eg docked bike station to prevent misplacement of these bikes.

Singapore previously enforced something like geo-fencing -you can only lock after riding in dedicated parking location, but it seems the result is not too good,still see people simply park. Yet to conclude the effectiveness of this geo-fencing though.

@auleo sigh, humanity is a contradictory bunch. On one hand we see extraordinary acts of selflessness and kindness, and then we have people like reckless Obike users.
