"I grew up in the days of measles, mumps, etc and nobody was dying of it "
In 1980 you should have been about 9 years? 2,6 million people died from measles alone that year ;)
Your friend probably suffered an anaphlactic shock? Could be from the vaccine, sure! Really rare though. But that is actually one of the reasons why you should just ge vaccinated when a doctor with adrenaline is around ;)
"Children are much sicker today than they were when I was a child."
Really? What do you mean with sick?
fat? - yes there are more fat kids today - but i guess you don't want to blame vaccines for that. And of course a lot of the overweights get serious health problems.
unhealthy lifestyle? yes
But let us look at the death rate of kids. From 1990 to 2013 this rate dropped by over 50%..
"I would not be scared one little bit if my children got the measles."
Beeing afraid to a healthy extend is one of the things which keep you alive. I just hope that your children have the luck to stay healthy and profit from the ones around who got the vaccines.
If you don't like vaccines - ok. Stupid but ok. But if you say that measles aren't that bad that is just plain ignorance of facts. And a punch in the face of millions of parents who lost their kids to a disease which could be wiped out with vaccines.
I don't mean fat.
I mean asthma, food allergies, auto-immune conditions, learning disorders, autism, ear infections and taking a long time to recover from illnesses.
Measles is good for you! Doctors used to know that children would often have a growth spurt afterwards, or allergies would disappear afterwards, and even in some instances leukemia disappeared after a bout of the measles.
They have even recently injected a HUGE dose of measles into a person dying of cancer, and the cancer receded.
Measles is like exercise for the immune system.
And my mom never even thought of taking any of me or my sibling in to the doctor for measles or mumps.
You are just using scare tactics again and I'm getting tired of it.
p.s. What you are saying is a punch in the face to the thousands upon thousands (perhaps millions) of people who have children that have died or become permanently injured from vaccines. Those lives matter and I am speaking up for them and will NOT stop.
"Measles is good for you! "
Wow, you are even more ignorant than I thought. One of the most deathly viruses in the last century is supposed to be good. Interesting attitude.
"Measles is like exercise for the immune system."
And jumping from 30 feet is good for bone developement?
This is my last post directed to you, it just makes me sad how ignorant you are. I can understand people who are scared of vaccines or dislike them due to personal history/experience. But saying that measles are good is just so deeply stupid. I can't even describe how sad I feel right now.
ignorant would imply that she hasn't read all of the studies. Caco is one of the most well read people on the subject I've come across in years. It isn't so much of a position of ignorance. It's one of exceptional knowledge. She's done the research on both sides of this argument for years and walked away thinking that vaccines cause harm.
It's hard to come to that conclusion, and people that have spent years researching this and voice that opinion come to folks like you. I'm sure you've read all the studies published by the pharma docs. I've read them too. When you read them you have to come to one conclusion and that is that vaccines save lives. It's not until you read additional evidence and testimonials that question that narrative that you realize the data is fraud, the professionals are taught and bribed to look the other way and mock people that question their pharma studies, and we're purposely made to look like quacks.
That's not what honest scientific dialog looks like. Come back and show me double blind studies of how these vaccines cause no harm. Find me studies that show how 64 shots by the time you're 12 causes no harm. You won't find them. And lastly the real evidence is in the scoreboard. 1:52 kids has autism and something like a 1/3 of all kids will have a variety of developmental disorders, but only in heavily vaccinated communities. It's not rocket science. It's tobacco science, but until you pierce the veil that they're liars you're going to keep being rude, ignoring the millions of people that have been harmed, and relying on bullshit science to propel a line of thinking that will continue to cause harm.
Have you seen Vaxxed? or did you just dismiss it entirely?
"Come back and show me double blind studies of how these vaccines cause no harm. Find me studies that show how 64 shots by the time you're 12 causes no harm."
Normally if you accusse something/somebody YOU are the one who should bring up a study which actually draws a conclusion between vacciness and things like autism. Guess what - there is one. Wakefield. A man who git his study withdrawn and lost his license since his study was soo poor made. Did you read his study. Not just the conclusion. The study. How he did it. What he did wrong. How little evidence he had. Did you?
Vaxxed is about personal destinies. In some cases extreme harsh destinies. But its not science. Its stories. Some unproven. Some might be true and really connected to vaccines.
Do you really think all doctors are bribed by pharma?
I've seen the bluecross payment schedules that show docs have to keep a certain percentage of their clients fully vaxxed at which point they get hundreds of thousands or they dont' have enough and lose all of it.
Wakefield isn't the only one that links gut bacteria and health to functional brain development.
I can't link the studies that don't exist. Best bets are the ones where they compare autism rates of different countries and find that scandinavian countries with 10ish vaccines have rates of 1 in 10k where as heavily vaxxed populations have 1 in 50.
I'm glad that it is your last post.
You should REALLY do some research.
Doctors in the old days knew that about measles. It was common knowledge.
But you are instead choosing the pharmaceutical view. They can't sell something until they make enough people afraid of it.
And it wasn't that long ago where it was published in medical journals how injecting measles vaccine straight into a tumor made it go away. Look it up!
Granted it didn't work for every patient, but it did work sometimes. These patients had exhausted all other means of treating their cancer before they tried this, so they were pretty close to death already.
This sounds great! I can be immune to the measles because I got vaccinated, so I don't risk complications and then if cancer afflicts me later in life, the tumor can be lysed by injecting a variety of the measles virus because my immune system will react to the measles-infected tumor cells and kill them off!
