MY VOCAB PRACTICE.

Occasionally some animals are attracted to members of the same sex, but most of the time they are heterosexual.
Given the increasing polarization in US politics, it's quite rare for any politician to express heterodox positions.
One might imagine that our guts contain a very uniform colony of bacteria for digesting food, but it turns out to be very heterogeneous.

I'd say it's getting virtually impossible for a politician to express heterodox positions. If they do, they're ignored, stifled, and blackballed.
