The problem lately and mostly for Newbies, is that nobody gives attention to their posts. Whether they are low quality or high quality content. Whether they spend two hours writing a post or just few minutes. Without voting bots, it is difficult to be visible and now everyone of us know that the most posts on the trending page are upvoted by bots.

Exactly! One post I created for playing chess and spent a few hours making it really nice and informative. Guess how many votes I got zero. Nothing to pop your bubble of confidence like that effort for zero payout.
Yes I know that feeling. Some months ago everything was a bit better than it is now :(
Life is competition. You need to create content daily. You also need to come up with interesting ways to capture peoples attention. The best strategies are usually fast and plenty or little but massive in quality so it stands out immediately. I talk about thousands of hours or practice to become really talented at a craft. This is the sacrifice that it takes.
Unfortunately, This is not the case for steemit. The main feeds get popular and attention. I have seen pro photographers who are really good at what they do. You know how much their earnings are? About $1 per post. This is not right.
This is not right? Sounds like entitlement. The market will reward what people want. People want a specific kind of content. This means the artist has to not only consider what he likes to do but also what the market wants.
It's about building up an audience and create a cool personal brand that people like and then you can start to sell something and do something cool. This is an art-form. Talent is overrated it's about how hard you work these days.
I think Discovery and Audience Building are two of the biggest problems facing new Steemians.
Until then, they struggle against the other half of Steemit which is bidbot heavy.
Absolutely! And I have noticed lately that many people left the platform while others arent active anymore. That means voting bots are doing all the job, while very rare people read the content
You need to build relationships with other humans. If you care about other humans and is very interested in their life then I can promise you that they will return the favor. Since that is how we are wired. It doesn't cost you anything to build connections and real trust with other humans. But it will take Time and Attention from your side.
