Have You Introduced Someone to Bitcoin?

Bitcoin Grows Organically 100% Peer to Peer and the Growth is Phenomenal.

Over the last few years the speed of Bitcoin and Crypto Currency growth is accelerating. I can remember ages ago when Bitcoin "Smashed Through $800". Did you know that was shortly before Christmas 2016? At the time the combined market cap of Crypto Currencies was still under $15 Billion now today we have a combined market cap of $103 Billion.

The power of Peer to Peer marketing combined with influencers on the internet has given traction to a technology that was considered, "Nerd Money" just a short while ago. When I would talk to people about Bitcoin back in 2014 they did not care or they just listened to my rants about the central banks and how Bitcoin could set us free. Now people who I never would think would be interested are contacting me on a daily basis. Everyone seems to want a Bitcoin wallet and then it quickly escalates to wanting the ability to trade for Altcoins.

The Hurdles of Bitcoin Adoption.

I have found that it is easy for me to teach people here in Panama how to set up accounts, convert fiat cash into Bitcoin and to trade their Altcoins but for people in many parts of the world including the USA it is not as easy. I consistently see people complaining about how hard it is to get Bitcoin. Although I feel bad that they can't participate on the level that we can I just remind myself that people make their decisions to stay in jurisdictions that might not be as financially free.

My Remedy for People Who Refuse to Move.

I recommend these people get to work on Steemit or start getting paid in Bitcoin for services rendered. This is a no-brainer for me. I know people will still make excuses but those of you who really want something will find a way to get it. That is human nature.

Have an Amazing Weekend and Keep on Steeming.

I have not introduce bitcoin to other people. Yet some had introduce bitcoin to me 4 years ago. I was so stupid and I feel regret that I though bitcoin is scam and I rejected him. I also told him to stop investing bitcoin. I was wrong.

And also one of the most illegal-used developments. Bitcoin needs a healthy marketing. It's a must have for it to leave current marketing positioning areas like: everything illegal can be bought with BTC, lol. Only when we see 1 or 2 mass adoptions BTC will stabilize and offer much more than what it os offering now: gateway to DW and market exchanges.

USD is no different in illegal use. Money and items of tangible value will always be used illegally. Almost any arguement against BTC you could easily switch BTC for USD.

That view is so 2013. Bitcoin is worth £50 billion right now!

Plus a lot of people think it's a scam or a ponzi scheme lol

I bought bitcoin back when it was $500 and it was a pain in the ass. Ended up paying nearly $100 more than market price to get in since fee's were so high. It's easier now and I believe that has a lot to do with the increase in the price of bitcoin.

Everyone I spoke regrets not buying earlier. But slowly everyone is embrasing the cryptocurrency. Be aware with all the small 'scam'-coins!

Getting easier everyday.

Yeah, in the US I have sent people to Coinbase just because it's the closest thing to using an "online retailer" for them. Setup an account, do an ACH deposit from checking acct and viola! You know have bitcoin.

I introduced all of my FB friends to BTC using one of my steemit posts that showed me my BTC to buy Amazon stock on it's march to 1,000.

Real world application to a stock everyone knows. Figure that was my most attention grabbing way to do it! :-)

It's complicated in my country

I stated introduce Bitcoin to my family and other people almost everyday.
And I wish all of them believe me and potential of Cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
It can change our finance 100%

Hello great article, I have been doing some of the same things as you. I have been telling my family and friends about Blockchain Technology and Bitcoins for sometime now ... I always link it back to fiat currency and how the central banks have ruined the entire system by drowning us in debt. And sometimes I think they think that I've lost my mind. But if you dig into the accounting of the United States government your mind might explode. When I was born in 1980 we had about $800 billion in debt , Now that I am 37 years old the country is in debt $20 trillion with unfunded liabilities of and other $120 trillion. As a father of three young children( who will never be able to work enough inside this slavery system in order to pay even the interest on that debt!!!!) I find myself a bit worried to say the least!!! And this doesn't even take into account all the pension funds across this country. OK that's enough great article thank you for sharing look forward to following more of your work. Steem steem on !!!! LOOKING FORWARD AT THE NEW WORLD NOT BACK AT USA/ROME!!!!

Yes absolutely, steemit is the best platform to introduce someone to the crypto space... here anybody can learn organically...

I'm trying to get an acquaintance of mine to get on steemit, virtually bending over backwards trying to convince them it's a great idea, but he is still "hesitant". Says "something doesn't add up". - Uh?

Part of the game, when we bought the VW 100% with Steem it opened some eyes though.

Yes, that'll preach!

In a few weeks I am going to be doing a lunchtime talk about cryptos for people here at work. This is a regular thing we do here, people volunteer to talk about hobbies and trips etc. I was asked to do it because I am the only person around here who knows anything about them. The idea that out of about the 120 people I work with I am the only person, curious enough, brave(?), enough, savvy enough to have ridden the beginning stages of the crypto rocket. I am really looking forward to the lunch talk. I plan to give out some ethereum and steem. I hope I am able to help people see the logic behind free markets as well as make them some profit. Intellectual capital is good in itself so there will already be that. Any advice everyone?

Oh my goodness, and people think we are in a bubble. It might be short term but the in the long term we are still very early.

I know it never even occurred to me that no one, NO ONE here had even considered cryptocurrencies important until recently.

I introduce some lately, but until now they're still ignoring bitcoin.
Maybe introducing them here at Steemit would be a good start to ignite and fire them up on crypto world.

Steemit is the entry point for so many new folks. It is easy to use and they get a crypto education for free.

why... i was first introduced the concept of bitcoin by my brother
i've been telling my friends about bitcoin but it's hard explaining to them what it is so i just tell them to do some research on it

So I see a fellow doge here. Halloooo :)

WOOF!!!!! i followed you!

I followed you too :) woof!

Those who are looking will definitely get the way even though it's hard to start, But better try than never.

doing cryptos full time now. i see huge potential so i discuss it with believers and non-belivers in daily basis. very exciting time .... some friends have made a fortune on my advices :) . still you need to carefully explain for months in some cases... this is totaly new issue

there is the usual ponzi scheme doubt still out there

I never understood the ponzi scheme part. Onecoin on the other hand I get it.

its only a ponzi if you don't truly understand the technology. onecoin can and is a ponzi because there is no proof of a decentralized immutable ledger.

tone vays said in our debate that we both lacked the technical knowledge to confirm this fact in regards to steem. i then lost what remaining respect i had for him at that point

i looked at Onecoin website for 2 seconds and i was sure it is bull.....

But they say that there is the real blockchain in Onecoin, and people can buy goods in dealshaker.com with Onecoin. I am rather puzzled. I don't know how to judge real cyptocurrency from a ponzi.

well i do understand, because you go around evangelizing and telling people to buy cryptos, but this is totally new concept... and nobody really knows where it will take us, but for first time people are in some control of money.... so you need to get educated and involved

If I had a penny for every time I heard the "Ponzi" argument amongst my peers (Special Operations Aviators, no less), I'd probably be able to trade those pennies for another BTC.

A select few have eyes to see.

What REALLY shocks me is the one who bugged me the MOST about wanting to understand how to get a foothold into crypto is none other than my Mother-in-Law...who turns 70 this year.

Go figure...the co-workers who are young and working in the epicenter of technology (we are based in Silicon Valley) are the ones giving me the "Oh, are you going to buy shrooms on the Silk Road?" argument.

There is a massive disconnect.

It is not by accident.

I told all my co-workers about bitcoin. Now, they keep on asking me on how to invest in cypto. Thanks for sharing!

Once they go down the rabbit hole it gets crazy.

So funny, but I love this metapher, once we go down the rabbit hole from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Hooked my sibs with crypto today.👌

It's amazing how in the US we aren't as financially free as we think.

Not even close, I deal with Americans daily.

I kid you not there is a form for everything. It's like politicians already lay claim to your money even before u earn. Things are changing though..

It's awesome to have a long time crypto enthusiast here sir :) Here in my country it's still the same experience with what you've mentioned but the rant part, I only share with my brother hehe. So many people are still unfamiliar with Bitcoin, much more on other cryptos. Based from the charts, I can only imagine a lot of people changing minds about going crypto but you have high tenacity.

Heck Yeah, I try like crazy (especially with my organizations 260+ affiliated locations), as I want to convert all to the blockchain that is coming anyway.

We have always been first in our field and I wish to remain there.

Our Argentinian affiliates used to use Bitcoin as it was easier, but now it is more difficult for them... I may just offer to be a purchaser. Once purchased no government can stop them from receiving and working with them thereafter.

Nice! That is how you get the word out. My biz is social media so that is the route we take. I know so many folks from Argentina who understand the importance of Bitcoin.

I talked about bitcoin and blockchain with everyone back in 2013. Most everyone dismissed it and some dismissed me. Ha ha. So I'm thoroughly enjoying the tide shift that's taking place. Some of those same people are now buying ethereum. I tell them "that's great. Have you heard about steemit?" Go STEEM!!!!

I can clearly remember the days when everybody was looking at me,like I'm from a different planet when I was talking about Crypto currencies. Today the exact same people are coming back to me,asking if I could help them to get started! I'm not a greedy, selfish ba.tard and I don't want all the gains for myself,so I'm More than happy to help them out. I want everybody to have a slice from it! May the Cryptos set us free from oppressive Governments!!!

I just got my first "convert" a few weeks ago! I convinced a friend to get into Bitcoin and crypto. So far, he's pretty happy he listened.

He might join Steemit too.

In regards to your title: After my financial advisor picked my brain about Bitcoin for a couple of years I was asked to speak at one of their S.W. Florida meetings which I did.
By the time I left we had BTC wallets setup on most of their phones.

I notice that I always have to tell people that BTC is not a pyramid scheme.

Introducing people to This world has GOT to be the most fun I've had in ages.

I just posted an article directed towards my PC Gamer friends in Panama for them all to start mining right away.

It's in spanish if any of y'all want to check it out or send it to someone who wants to mine, but Can't quite get into it.

I'm bringing in my Panama nerds first. The rest shall follow suite.

Anyway, here's the article.

i have few non tech crypto friends and i tell them about how to stay on safe side with holding crypto. and just now i get a call that his tablet with wallet broke apart and is dead, but luckily he has backup so it is safe.

but there will be many issues with security when this goes mainstreem so we need to do the education part seriously

and Steemit is so well designed for newbies.... still need to be carefull with passwords of course

It took me a long time to discover Crypto Currencies, just this week. But now that I'm learning about them, I see they are the future! Thanks for the post.

3 of my friends actually, although obviously they don't know what the amazing investment opportunity that I'm talking about... they can feel that something is awesome about this from my tone of voice and passion about Bitcoin and cryptoccurencies.

I have personally trained 400+ people in the use of bitcoin technology.

Create a great day,
@kozan

Very well said. There is true value in Cryptos and taking the time to introduce people to them. I've been taking the time to tell everyone I know about croptos Steem especially. ;-)

A friend and my mother. She got one to play along in 2015, and quadrupled in value.

This is a certain responsibility, as it always doubts that it can harm a person. He will believe, and in case of collapse, he will blame you ... :(

Hell no. If it goes wrong than I know exaclty who the one is to blame. If it goes well you probably do not hear anything of 90 % of the people. So I stopped to give any "investment advice" since the internet bubble :)

I knew about Bitcoin a few years ago, but wasn't sure what it really was other than "invisible internet money," and wasn't sure why I should have it or use it. I should have educated myself at the beginning. It was when I discovered Steemit back in July 2016 and began earning Steem Dollars that began truly learning about Bitcoin, because I needed to use it to cash out my Steem money. Now, I'm a crypto convert, and just opened my first Bittrex account last week, and yesterday, I made my first altcoin purchases with Bitcoin I bought on CoinBase. I'm catching up with the rest of the crypto crowd, and I've explained it to my husband. While he hasn't bought any himself, he is fully supportive and enthusiastic about me buying it. :)

Just dont introduce them to Bitconnect. Don't scam your friends and family for a quick buck.

I have never introduced what bitcoin is, because I have never got it 😥

Yes, and although people usually consider my advice on investing valuable, it was a very hard sell until this past week or so for some reason.

i have become a bit of a bitcoin/crypto evangelist myself, in six short months mind you, talking to anyone who will listen to me about why they should get in this scene. I've gotten some friends to open wallets and sent them small amounts to get them going and I have a high school kid working on my farm who I convinced to let me pay him partially in crypto. I think he's going to be happier than he even knows about it someday! Cheers to you Randy for spreading the word. It's been an amazing six months for sure

As I ingratiate myself more and more with bitcoin and altcoins -- and Steemit -- I'm becoming more comfortable talking to people about it and, specifically, the importance of decentralization. I tell people about Derrick Broze's Decentralize Your Life Tour and about the importance of a social networking site that allows users to generate altcoin - a la Steemit.

I agree that it can be hard or impossible to introduce some people into Bitcoin, but i've given it a go and this is my attempt... https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@jezsmith720/how-i-aim-to-raise-crypto-awareness
