Steemit Daily 100+ Rep Fitness Challenge Day # 37 - 1/12/18 - Total Team Reps: 48,692

in #fitness7 years ago (edited)

7 Steemians today for 1,989 reps combined with several new recruits lined up!

More people are joining simply because they've SEEN this blog series, and wish they saw it sooner. In the spirit of helping others be healthy and join a supportive team, please help us by resteeming for visibility.

Forget resolutions. You know that exercise is important, so start with just one day of sharing 100 reps and go from there. We support each other every day, and we'll support you, so why not give it a try?

These people are creating their own original posts to prove their hard work. Please support their dedication with encouragement!

TOTALS: 48,692 reps done across 13 Steemians in 36 workout days.

Cumulative Results: - #'s vary with different start dates
@rmsbodybuilding = 20,082 reps (41.2%) - 36/36 days (congrats on 20K reps!)
@thevillan = 9,656 reps (19.8%) - 16/36 (perfect attendance since starting)
@myleskshupe = 4,791 reps (9.8%) - 12/36
@steemmatt = 4,130 reps (8.5%) - 36/36
@povilas = 3,701 reps (7.6%) - 20/36 (start a new streak)

@xxlobo21xx = 1,214 reps (2.5%) - 5/36 (nice reps and blog posts!)
@mightpossibly = 1,167 reps (2.4%) - 12/36 (next goal 2,000)
@ninjamike = 979 reps (2.0%) - 5/36 (pull-up specialist/possible real ninja)
@cygon = 563 reps (1.2%) - 2/36
@bentheredonethat = 310 reps (0.6%) - 1/36
@xced2806 = 158 reps (0.3%) - 1/36
@dj123 = 101 reps (0.2%) - 1/36

The Challenge: At least 100 honest reps of exercise every day. No excuses. No bullsh*t. Just actions, positivity, and results. Only post AFTER your reps are done.

  • If you can't contribute yet, try to eat natural foods and stay well hydrated without the sugar for now.

  • It's ok to start with a number you're comfortable with if you can't reach 100. You choose what exercises to do.

  • 30 minutes of dedicated brisk walking or running can count as 100 reps if you're unable to lift or need to rest.

  • Please also support these participants for their commitment to their physical and mental health. Thank you.

Feedback from @mightpossibly:

"I'd also like to add that I find it deeply satisfying to do these reps, which is a big deal. I've always hated the gym and prefer to exercise at home. But I've lacked the discipline to do it. It sort of feels like I have gym buddies now, without the hassle of going to the gym."

Please see my first post linked below for my motivation, the challenge background, rules, and details for the Steemit Silver Coin prize! It's also got some personal stuff about why I'm doing this, so it could be a good motivator.

Daily challenge completed:

  • 8 minutes jump rope
  • 45 minute run
    not sure how you'd translate those to reps but there you go!

30 minutes of running is 100 reps, so using several advanced calculators, that's 150 reps. To keep things clear cut, let's just count the running since jumping rope will create too much gray area to convert other alternative stuff. Welcome back to the grind.

Damn man. The weights are going to need a rest day.

Daily Challenge Completed - 110 reps:
-80 Back Bar Rows (75 pounds)
-15 Shoulder Bar Presses (75 pounds)
-15 Bar Shrugs (75 pounds)

80 back rows!! That’s intense!! Great job bro!!

Thanks man. I really need to add more weight to the bar, but I like building up some endurance first before I level up.

A good way to build up endurance it to keep upping the reps ;)
Then drop reps and up weight, that's what I do

ok, i want to follow this fitness activity, how to join it @steemmatt?

Best Regards @fikrihaikal

Hi - simply perform 100+ exercise reps of your choice per the guidelines above and post them as a comment on the day you do them. I post my blog daily. If you'd like to make your own blog post to show your workout or detail it, feel free to link it here as well and used fitnesschallenge as a tag. Looking forward to hearing from you.
