I had mentioned in several replies to past comments you simply may not have seen. High knees certainly are cardio in my eyes and the feedback of several others... Jumping jacks are ideally calisthenics/cardio if we compare the nature of them to weights. A good way to look at this is by how long it takes you do them and in how many sets. This isn't to take away from your hard work, but I have to try to keep it equitable for everyone.

Noted

Another reason is because if people are counting them as reps, new people to the challenge see that and start using them as reps too, which makes it tricky to try to keep them on the right track. Thanks for understanding. I'm sure they add up to some good cardio, and you're kicking your own ass at the gym to have a good reputation, so not much is lost here.

Maybe it's an idea to have a daily maximum that can be counted for the challenge. In the end what this is a about (the way I see it) is a very good way for steemians to get daily motivation by being surrounded by like minded people. The support that is being given in the comments is so good that prize you give out for every 10.000 reps that are completed should not be something it is all about. Making it so that it's takes less time for you to count and not expensive to host in the long run would be a good thing for everyone.

Well said. I totally agree.

Thank you for the feedback and idea. I agree. I've been starting to informally cap some reps in recent days along those lines to feel it out. The time it takes to make the posts does add up a lot. To put it this way, each post takes at least 30 minutes, and I've done it 155 times. Ouch...

Another one to possibly cap is the "hand exercise", that I believe means "hand grippers"

I do 12x3 sets of hand grips a week, and they completely blast my forearms and hands. If I were to do 500 one day and 400 the next day and so on, I wouldn't have any hands left. Or I'd be using hand grippers made out of jello..

I haven't been counting them for much more than 100-150 reps. This hard working guy does a lot of biking every day to bring the reps up, so I've been capping it at 1,000 (which sort of drops off the hand exercises anyway). Thanks for speaking up.

Truly, I couldn't agree more! Great suggestions from @mightpossibly and @byebyehamburgers

Agreed sir and understood. I like your approach to this. Good day

I understands everyone's thoughts and respect them all. But I that everyone interpretation of cardio varies. Like if we were to count high knees or hand grips it would be a high amount of reps for some people. I remember when I tried jump roping and used those reps which jump roping is one great workout and I was told that it would be counted as cardio. I had no issue counting it as cardio. We need to remember @steemmatt is human and I think sometimes people are more concerned about their total rep count then the whole purpose of this challenge. Which is to encourage and motivate people to become healthy.

You're right. With some people, it's sort of a case-by-case basis, or a slow transition over to what I feel are more true reps to not demotivate or insult anyone. Thanks for the shout.

Like i said its all about the person's motives. Are they in it for the health and support. Or are they simply in it for the SBD.

Of course brother you deserve it and I still have my fingers crossed a whale is gonna splash all of their upvotes, steem, and SBD on you!!
