I'm one of those people who believe in messages (subliminal or not) from the Universe.
Yesterday I was reading a post from @naturald, where she talks about emotional detox and mentions meditation.
Today while on the metro, I felt something, almost like a call in my mind asking "isn't time to meditate?". Despite of this sudden thought, I'm not going through any huge problem, but it felt like my soul was asking for something extra this time.
This is a thing I suggest to everyone who's going through a rough time, or is just feeling a bit lost.
It is scietific proven that meditation can help decreasing stress, and we know stress can affect our emotional wellness.
Also some research imply that meditation practicing can reduce high blood pressure, insomnia, anxiety, stress (like I mentioned above), depression and other mind mental behaviors. Of course if you are on therapy and on another kind of treatment, I suggest you keep doing what was prescribed to you, but meditation can be a plus.
If you don't know yet how to start it, there are several videos on err, YouTube, where you can easily find according to your needs, or even apps with guided meditation. Awesome, isn't it?
I really wish someone could have given me this tip when I was younger, but it's never to late to begging with it. Meditation can be surprisingly amazing to your health, and anyone can do it, no restrictions! How cool is that?
And you, do you like meditation? Have you ever tried? Would you consider this idea?
Thank you for reading,
B.
Agree! I’m the type who is just too impatient to do yoga, but I keep trying to do it. So I never thought I’d be able to meditate. But I recently found this app: “Calm” and it’s made me love meditation. I’m hooked!
At first you think you'll never be able to do it, but no regrets once you try it, it's so amazing, right? Thanks!
Good article. Resteemed. I find that deep meditation is literally better than a vacation.
I try to stick to the Buddhist idea where thought and emotions are treated as temporary things that have nothing to do with me. Like a bird that flies in one window and out the other, whoosh, here and gone like that.
Have you ever been on a meditation retreat? If not, you should try it at least once in your lifetime.
Minor typo:
"It is scietific proven that meditation"
should be
"It is scientifically proven that meditation ..."
I've heard about it, but never looked it up. Going to research and see if it's possible to do it here, that would be amazing.
Oh thank you for telling me, I've read this many times and didn't notice.
Thank you!
I tried to meditate only once and it was simply magical, a sense of peace and tranquility. But with the daily rush, I always keep postponing it!!
Me too!! Due the daily rush I can't meditate more than 2 minutes... I'm like "oh f*ck I have to finish this job" :-P
Me too, I don't do it everyday, but I'll try to do it more often now, it's so good!
I take a daily walk on the beach, sometimes twice. When I return, I meditate for 20 to 30 minutes. It helps to center me. Keeps me relaxed and able to think clearly.
Oh wow, must be also so relaxing walking by the beach before meditating, it's like a preparation to Meditate. I shall try it one day!
I wanted to try meditation after I heard about it. But I never learned how to. Maybe I should watch some videos as you suggested. Thank you, Bianca
Yes, you can do it starting with few minutes and increase with time. It's totally worthy!
Thanks! I download the app. I want to do this for a long time, hope this app will help. 😘
It's really good! You can try it before going to be bed, it's so relaxing!
YES! Great post. Meditation has been so soo good for me. I find its easiest after yoga because my body is "out of the way" and I can just shut down all my thoughts, but it has been an aweosme emergency lever I've pulled at all times in tons of diferent situation.
Right now my favorite app for guided meditation is called CALM
https://www.calm.com/
I always thought meditation had to be this big thing, but often only 10 or 15 minutes can make the hugest difference <3 thanks for this awesome post!
