A cheat meal day is my favorite day of all times. I recently lost a total of 10 Kg and I wanted to celebrate it with a nice meal. What often happens is that the next day, I would workout intensively. That’s why I am not too worried because it’s not everyday, just once in a while. Sometimes I reward myself with coffee but sometimes, a nice meal would do. Not to mention, lately it has been pretty crazy times and exhausting. I am hoping it will pass very soon and I can be settled and catching up with many things that I am currently behind. This time, I was going to a place called Platinum Grill. The place itself is new as of early this year, I have not seen this place. The food that they offer is basically a mixture of Asian, Western Cuisine that is served on a hot plate. So, the meat is actually raw and kinda sizzles when it’s served. Even the food I got comes with raw eggs which become well-cooked when it’s placed in the hot plate. During the day, I just ate a piece of Onigiri from the convenience store. Whenever I eat this kind of food, I am reminded of my travel days where I often eat food from convenience stores to save a bit of cost. It also reminds me that sometimes, I don’t need complex breakfast just to get through the day. It’s definitely different when I am at home because my mom would make a delicious homemade breakfast. Oftentimes, she made it based on what I like and what I eat, which is Western or Korean food. The food taste in platinum grill wasn’t that bad but I wouldn’t come back again as I think there are better options for the price offered. It was definitely on the cheaper side but to think of it, I would rather eat something else than choosing that platinum grill.

I have about 2 more weeks before I complete my 90 days fitness challenge. It has been an interesting journey and I've also gained some positive results from it. I would continue it until the end of the year and see if this year, I finally made my dream come true, which is having the consistency of doing something for more than 3 months. I also minimized many of my vices just because of the gym. I no longer drink because it would be a waste of effort once I start drinking again. Anyhow, stay tuned for more story from my cheat meal day!

Congratulations on your 10kg and well done! 🥳🥳

@zakludick Thank you so much. It wasn't easy but I made it hehe

It looks so delicious. But, I really like it when you mention that you compare all the food you eat out to the food your mother cooks. That's something meaningful.

The dishes cooked by a mother or someone special for us are different because there is a secret ingredient, namely spices that are not owned by any five-star restaurant chef. That is the "spice of love".

@justbabybee Right, there's something special about homemade dishes.

Congratulations for your rewarded efforts 🎉 ! I think you’re totally right about this kind of celebration, it’s important to take care and reward ourselves when we achieve such success :)

Enjoy your meal, it looks delicious 😋

@anttn hahaah yeah, sometimes you gotta enjoy life after those hardwork. I personally was over-rewarding myself but now that I just do it once a week, it feels different and even more rewarding when I can taste/do/try new things.

This is indeed essential !
But I agree that we have to keep the balance of these rewards... otherwise, they are not rewards anymore ^^ !

You inspired me about this idea of a one week every time new kind of ritual ! I'll keep that in mind 😊

I hope you had a nice weekend 🍀 and that the week will be as good as it gets !

Same to you! Have a great week ahead.

Thanks 😊 be well :)

congratulations! it is indeed a great improvement on the way of losing weight👍👍

@celeste413 Thank you so much. A few more kgs to go!

Congrats on your 10kg loss. I've lived around people who were dieting and working out to lose weight and I know how big of a deal the cheat day can be. Hahah! Enjoy yourself and goodluck with your weight loss.

Right? without cheat meal, it's going to be difficult to survive the journey. I personally don't do any diet just working out is the secret haha

If you don't do any diet how come you have a cheat day with food?

I am not sure if what I eat constitute as certain diet. I only eliminate some form of food and drinks li ike sugar for example. I only have them during my cheat meal day same thing with meat too. During regular day, I wouldn't have meat nor sugar.

Alright, cool. That's a diet, if you ask me 😃.

That reminded me of bibimbap; dear god I want bibimbap now.

That is indeed a bowl of bibimpap just different way of serving it.

Oh give me some tips what you did to lose that weight 🙃congratulations I'm proud of you. 🌸🙂

Nothing really, I just workout 6x/week, eat the same food that I eat 😂. After two months, my mindset towards food changes as I remember how hard it was to workout and it's not worth it if I am eating high calorie and junk foods.

Congratulations on the 10kg. That takes some doing. I hope you complete your fitness challenge.

@diziette a few more weeks to go to complete the 90 days challenge. It was definitely not an easy one but rewarding.

I admire your courage. I am never able to keep it up.

Congratulations for you try! It seems that you have found the key to win your metabolism. Personally, when i need to lose some weight, i prefer intermediate fasting!

@giorgakis intermittent fasting didn't work for me and it was hell. I think for anyone wanting to lose the weight, it's going to require different formulas. For me, going to the gym was the answer. It helped me re-think the way I see food and many things. Not to mention, I get tired easily so there was no time to be bored. I still have a few more weeks to go, so wish me luck!

Iam sure for you! You will achieve the best results in your 90 days challenge! Fasting isnt for everyone of course!

Wow! Congratulations on the wonderful achievement ! 10kg is not an easy milestone but you made it!

Looking back, I thought it was almost impossible! It was some kind of far-fetched ideas that won't happen. But these 2 and half months have taught me that anything is possible when we put our mind into it. I workout 6x a week and it took about a month for me to make it a habit and not crying after working out 😂. Now working out is easy and I try to do some workout movements while I wait for things, traveling or anywhere when I can.

Girllll congratulations, i saw that you religiously went to the gym and to be honest its affect me a lot, it makes me started working out again daily. I even plan to register myself to a gym but still looking around for a suitable gym right now.

You want to look out for a gym that has more girl ratio than male. Anything above 205k/month would be a nice one too. The current one I went to is really nice and almost no distraction though it's a bit expensive. I will be back to Bali next 2 weeks, so it's going to get tricky to find a gym over there & hopefully I find one that's comfortable. I usually just put my headphones on and work out, rarely people distract me when I already put a headphones on.

Why calling it cheating when that meal looks pretty healthy imho. No need to suffer, you just gotta cut 20% of your BRM and exercise to lose weight. The secret is the amount of calories in the end of the day xD

Ah, btw, congrats on the 10kg!

My cheat meal day is often just series of healthy meal in bigger portions. I mostly eat what I like during my cheat meal day. Since I like Korean and Western food, those are mostly what I go to. And thank you!

When I think of a cheat meal it resembles tons of chocolate xDDD

Congrats on the weight loss. That is awesome. It seems that a lot of us are working on getting rid of the weight we have put on over the last couple years.

hahaha yeah, covid fat is real. My mom told me that I got fatter because the food I had during covid and also almost rarely going out. Now that everything is open, I am a lot more active and moving a lot. Although to be fair, among many reason I also started taking gym seriously was back in Bali, I just felt heavier and it was not fun while everyone around me has those perfect instagram bikini bod.

That's healthy food for me, not a cheat meal...

What would be a cheat meal for you?

During my cheat meal day, that's often what I eat a complex carb with some type of meat, egg, and vegetables. Also coffee with sugar in comparison to normal day when I have sugarless coffee. I rarely eat meat but opt for different type of protein during regular day.

Congratulations on your weight loss.
