The idea that you can do anything you want on the blockchain is an interesting one. We have already witnessed the speed at which digital money is gaining grounds, and we do not need to be told, that more is to be expected.
We have seen that crypto has been able to take as many forms as possible. We can use it as a means of transaction, it's comes in the form of assets, and that of a commodity.
Blockchain has made it possible for tokenization processes to carry weight, and value is offered based on the market determination.
The information stored in the blockchain and the fact that it is secured, connected, fast, and easy to use, and implement puts Cryptocurrency in the right positioning.
Soon, a lot of people will come to terms with the wide range of benefits that blockchain offers, and they will become accustomed to it's used-value.
Not only, will they breathe in a sigh of relief over having one chain that helps them run a useful transaction with the speed of light, but, they will be pleased with the fact that they can do more than just buying and selling crypto coins.
Today, @taskmaster4450 had explained in his post, Vitalik Describes Hive, how Hive is already setting the pace for the kind of future that Vitalik wants for Ethereum.
I love this part the most because I know how addicted I was to Facebook because of its network effect, and the tons of things I could do with it.
Blockchains, at their core, are just databases. Few care how data is structured or even what is done with it. Instead, they simply want to use the application that interests them. If they have online friends they interact with, that is what they seek.
I could talk to my friends about anything in split seconds, I could gain attention through my posts and comments. Mr. Mark even included features that allow users who can't afford to run paid ads to use the Facebook marketplace for free.
Yes, Defi is important, but being able to move further from just being Defi, by having lots of used cases will be a plus to the already popular ethereum.
The truth is, over here (hive), we have already started this future, by the way, we have lots of communities built to accommodate people from all spheres and occupations of life.
Hive provides lots of incentives to investors, and content creators, and we can attest to the fact that the developers are doing an amazing job creating DApps that help faster transactions, swaps, and lots of other advanced wallet capabilities.
This means, what Vitalik is proposing is already on HIVE. We already have in place features that solve real-life problems, and @taskmaster4450 had said, this will stimulus organic growth because these features appeal to users
However, Defi should be able to have login systems that separate blockchain from centralized companies like Facebook and Google. And as he had rightly discussed, it will be a sad influence on us, if we are still governed by those companies who can choose to de-platform users, thereby, logging them out of their various accounts.
Of course, my addiction to Facebook had slowly withered, because today, I can no longer sell in its marketplace, because of reasons I have no idea what it means.
There are days and weeks, that my friends and I are locked out of our accounts as a result of a comment we made, or a link we shared.
I can still remember how unhappy I was the weeks I couldn't dare log out of my account because I couldn't remember my password. I had to hold onto my Facebook lite, and the only device, I was logged in, with the utmost care, because if I mistakenly logged out, that was the end.
I had built my Facebook account to a point that I had loyal followers and friends, waking up every day and remembering that I was on the verge of losing it wasn't a happy experience.
This is where platforms like HIVE come to the rescue, and I am happy, I found HIVE.
Now if only we could get Hive to interact as quick as facebook. I really think we would be in business. Maybe we should just clone their front end and have a field day with it. As my son calls it "FAKE BOOK".
Good idea
thank you
LA PACE
Surely, that would be nice 🙂
Seems like you have a good knowledge about cryptoverse. I am naive about many of its aspects. Yes, crypto is gainning grounds and growing rapidly but it needs to develop resistence against tweets that can change its future.
Mmm. I didn't get one thing.
Can we not login to facebook via different devices?
I am still learning the ropes, sweetheart, Hive brings me closer to understanding everything about it, for this, I am grateful
Yes, it has to develop massive resistance, because, there will always be factors and forces fighting against it
Of course, we can login with any device. It just that for my story, I forgot my password. Mr. Mark asked for the mail I used to register. I realized, I didn't include a mail, only a phone number
So, once I clicked the option that said, "I no longer have access to this", his bot responded that there is no way I can retrieve my account password without an email
But I still had my Facebook logged in my Facebook lite app, so I was careful, so I don't mistakenly log out, since, I won't be able to login anymore
I hope you understand, @amberkashif
Thanks for being here, I appreciate it
Ok. I got your f.b story.
By the way the same login problem exists with other platform, doesn't it?
and in case of hive, we are supposed to keep the long password key safe.
Thanks a lot for your entry to #dcc. Your post was shared to POBleus and as I see curated well thanks to that initiative.
For sure tokenization is possible thanks to the blockchain and we should be thankful to that.
That's the awesomeness of the blockchain. It's not only money, but something bigger than that and much more powerful. Maybe that's why it's fighted by governments, because if gives more freedom to people and possiblities.
Hive is for sure the best example of how the blockchain can be.
Thanks a lot for your entry. It's awesome ! ☺
We're definitely on the leading edge of the "next generation" of the social Internet, as well as the way we handle financial issues.
The "gaping hole" remains commercial use cases; the ability to shop via blockchain/crypto venues.
As for the logging in issue, seems to me the blockchain space is ripe for someone to develop some kind of cross-chain standardized "ChainID" or "ChainPassport" that could serve as the blockchain version of "log in with Facebook/Google."
=^..^=
Yes, This is very true
Exactly, what we are trying to
I hope a developee finds this comment, and does something about it
Thanks for your contribution, sir, it is well appreciated
With increased utility, comes increase in usefulness and value. When application becomes useful to our everyday living, the chances of its extinction becomes slim. So it's profitable for blockchain to keep increasing its utility. Glad to know that Hive, which I'm privileged to be one of its users are leading in this note.
This is worrisome. If our much mouthed freedom is to hold water, then a different login method must be procured.
This is a very wise and thoughtful description..... I will steal it one of these days ..... Don't worry, I'll quote you and maybe tag you to it.... 😁
Yeah, HIVE is full of value...... One just need to reach out and take his portion
That's true, the login method is important if our freedom speech should hold water ..... Hehehehe.... I just said the same thing you said 😛😛
I'm suffering from overdose of wisdom. Lol.
As for the tag or mentioned, who e epp? Let's just share whatever value you got from the post 🤪
Edidiong stop spamming. 😂😂
I just thought of you some minutes ago.
I swear.... You are
😂😂😂😂, You na
Hehehehe..... Oil dey your head
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Please, don't report me to the guardians 😅😅😅
Really? Should I be blushing? 😁😒
Why couldn't you just reset your Facebook password? Or even make a new account while the old still worked, and slowly migrate over?
I tried but because I hadn't add an email to my account, Mr. Mark said I can't access it.
I literally had to commit a comment crime, for him to give me access to change my password..... I was so happy 😊
I did, but never really used it, all my friends were on the other account, and migrating them didn't sit well with me. 😴
I am glad you got it sorted :)
Thank you very much, sir
I guess this post is coming at the right time. This is a wake up call for all folks
Yes, it is ..... Thanks
