El poder de convencimiento que tienen algunas personas sobre otras es fuerte, sobre todo cuando hablan con tanta seguridad que es casi imposible no creerles lo que están diciendo; sí, hay quienes tienen el arte de mentir bastante desarrollado. Indiscutiblemente, este es un tipo de persona, ya que es una característica que poseen que los distingue de los demás, comienzan con pequeñas mentiras acompañadas de una dramatización y así en adelante van perfeccionando sus técnicas hasta el punto de ser definitivamente un mentiroso sin remedio.
Increíblemente, las personas que suelen mentir con tanta facilidad y naturalidad, no les preocupa si causan daño, si hay consecuencias por sus actos y están tranquilas porque están acostumbrados a comportarse de esa manera. A veces los demás se distancian de ellos porque no comparten su actitud, luego de insistirle que está mal lo que hace y ver que no hay ni intención de cambiar entonces se alejan; por otro lado, personas más allegadas como la familia hasta se acostumbran a que ellos son así y esa etapa sí que está mal hacer costumbre un mal comportamiento.
Las mentiras tienen patas cortas, dicen por allí, al final es verdad porque todo se descubre tarde o temprano, difícilmente puedes cambiar a una persona a menos de que la decisión salga de ellos mismo, de lo contrario seguirá siendo un mentiroso empedernido. Ser lo más honesto posible siempre, va a valer la pena, significa cuanto te esfuerzas por el buen comportamiento, el respeto y la honestidad, ya que esos, entre otros valores, te harán grande en la medida que lo practique.

Lies have short legs, they say, in the end it is true because everything is discovered sooner or later, you can hardly change a person unless the decision comes from them, otherwise they will remain an inveterate liar. Being as honest as possible will always pay off, it means how much you strive for good behaviour, respect and honesty, as those, among other values, will make you great as long as you practice them.

Cuando de verdad se quiere corregir ese mal hábito, se puede hacer, solo hay que tener voluntad y no dejar que eso avance, sino atacarlo al principio.
