Looks like the Splinterlands proposal is super close to passing.
Sad day.
We need to clean up the DHF / Witnesses on chain so we can stop the depletion of value from the chain and support projects that will bring in longe lasting value.
I had a feeling this would happen. I am happy we have save the chain 4500 HBD so far.
Maybe we can hit 5000 HBD saved before it passes.
I will take that as a small victory.

People are taking votes off of the line (return proposal)
to get SPL approved, by doing this other proposals have passed.
So now we are going to spend an additional 15,000 HBD on the proposals that were not passing until people removed their votes from the return proposal to help out SPL.
Wow. How things are connected and you need to think through them.
Oh well. So far we have prevented 5,000 HBD payout from the SPL proposal.

In defense of XRP, it was in the crosshairs of the SEC and the federal government, and for a while it was under threat of extinction. It was also one of the earliest of the altcoins. Let's see if its future is more promising than its past.
Yeah, the SEC aspect is the only credible reason,imo. Regarding XRP's proposed use case, it would be preferrable as a stablecoin... but yes, let's see where it goes...
