With iOS 18, you can finally control which contacts apps see instead of exposing your whole address book. Apple says it’s not a big deal for developers, but some startups are feeling the heat. Fewer users are sharing contacts, and for social apps that rely on friend connections, this could be a make-or-break moment. Apps like TikTok, which recommend content based on interests rather than social circles, might take the lead in the future.

iOS 18 will allow users to select which contacts to share with an app instead of revealing their entire address book. Apple doesn't think the change will hurt developers, but some startups have seen contact sharing drop significantly since the iOS 18 change. The ability to quickly connect new users with friends can mean the difference between success and failure for apps. This change could mean friend-based social apps may eventually be replaced by apps like TikTok which show users content based on what they like rather than who they're connected to.
Teams at Google have made progress on software for AI models with humanlike reasoning abilities in recent months. The company is using chain-of-thought prompting, which allows large language models to solve multistep problems using a series of intermediate reasoning steps, to give models the ability to solve more complex math- and company-programming-related inquiries. A startup called Voyage AI is building tools, including custom AI models, that serve as the foundation of RAG generative AI systems.
AI tends to make things up. That’s unappealing to just about anyone who uses it on a regular basis, but especially to businesses, for which fallacious results could hurt the bottom line. Half of workers responding to a recent survey from Salesforce say they worry answers from their company’s generative AI-powered systems are inaccurate.
Enhancing AI Accuracy with Voyage AI's Retrieval-Augmented Generation Technology: A Game-Changer in the AI Landscape
In the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI), the quest for more reliable and accurate AI systems has become a tOP priority. One technique that has gained significant attention in recent years is Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), which pairs an AI model with a knowledge base to provide supplemental information before answering, serving as a fact-checking mechanism.
Voyage AI, a company founded by Stanford professor Tengyu Ma in 2023, has built its business around RAG, providing solutions for companies such as Harvey, Vanta, Replit, and SK Telecom.
The Problem of Hallucinations in AI: A Major Concern
While RAG can help mitigate the issue of hallucinations in AI, no technique can completely eliminate them. Hallucinations occur when an AI model generates responses that are not supported by the input data or context. This can lead to inaccurate or misleading results, which can have serious consequences in industries such as finance, healthcare, and law. For instance, a hallucination in a medical diagnosis AI system could lead to a misdiagnosis, resulting in incorrect treatment and potentially life-threatening consequences.
Voyage AI's approach to RAG involves training AI models to convert text, documents, PDFs, and other forms of data into numerical representations called vector embeddings. These embeddings capture the meaning and relationships between different data points in a compact format, making them useful for search-related applications like RAG. Voyage AI uses a particular type of embedding called contextual embedding, which captures not only the semantic meaning of data but also the context in which the data appears. For example, given the word "bank" in the sentences "I sat on the bank of the river" and "I deposited money in the bank," Voyage's embedding models would generate different vectors for each instance of "bank" – reflecting the different meanings implied by the context.
Benefits of Voyage AI's RAG Technology: A Cost-Effective and Customizable Solution
Voyage AI's RAG technology offers several benefits, including:
Improved Retrieval Accuracy: Voyage's embedding models have best-in-class retrieval accuracy, which translates to improved end-to-end response quality of RAG systems.
Context-Aware Retrievals: Voyage's approach uses vector embeddings trained on the company's data to provide context-aware retrievals, which significantly improves retrieval accuracy.
Customizable Solutions: Voyage's solutions are tailored to specific domains, such as coding, finance, legal, and multilingual applications, and are tailored to a company's data.
Cost-Effective: Voyage's models deliver better performance at lower costs, making them a more attractive option for companies looking to implement RAG technology.
Voyage AI's Growth and Funding: A Bright Future Ahead
Voyage AI has just over 250 customers and has raised a total of $28 million in funding, including a $20 million Series A round led by CRV with participation from Wing VC, Conviction, Snowflake, and Databricks. The company plans to use the funding to launch new embedding models and double its size. With its innovative approach to RAG and its commitment to providing high-quality solutions, Voyage AI is well-positioned to become a leader in the RAG space.
Voyage AI's Retrieval-Augmented Generation technology has the potential to revolutionize the way companies approach AI-powered search and retrieval. By providing a more accurate and context-aware approach to RAG, Voyage AI is helping companies to improve the quality of their AI-powered responses and reduce the risk of hallucinations. With its customizable solutions and cost-effective approach, Voyage AI is poised to become a major player in the AI landscape, helping companies to make better decisions and drive business success.

WP Engine has filed a lawsuit against Automattic, and WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg, accusing them of extortion and abuse of power.
Web hosting provider WP Engine has filed a lawsuit against Automattic, and WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg, accusing them of extortion and abuse of power. The lawsuit comes after nearly two weeks of tussling between Mullenweg, who is also CEO of Automattic, and WP Engine over trademark infringement and contributions to the open-source WordPress project.
The Allegations Against Automattic and Matt Mullenweg
WP Engine, a managed WordPress hosting company, has accused Automattic, the company behind WordPress.org, and its CEO Matt Mullenweg of violating the principles of open-sourcesoftware. Specifically, WP Engine alleges that Automattic and Mullenweg are trying to exert control over the WordPress community by imposing constraints on developers and restricting their freedom to build, run, modify, and redistribute WordPress projects.
The controversy began when Matt Mullenweg, the CEO of Automattic, criticized WP Engine for allegedly infringing on WordPress and WooCommerce trademarks. Mullenweg described WP Engine as the "Cancer of WordPress", suggesting that the company was harming the open-source community. WP Engine responded to the criticism by sending a cease-and-desist letter, asking Mullenweg and Automattic to withdraw their comments.
Automattic then sent a counter-cease-and-desist letter to WP Engine, accusing the company of infringing on WordPress and WooCommerce trademarks. This letter marked the beginning of a back-and-forth battle between the two companies over trademark infringement and the legitimacy of WP Engine's activities.
The Banning of WP Engine from WordPress.org Resources
In an effort to restrict WP Engine's ability to host and support WordPress projects, Mullenweg banned the company from accessing WordPress.org resources, including plugins and themes. This move was seen as an attempt to limit WP Engine's ability to provide support and services to WordPress users. However, Mullenweg later provided a temporary reprieve, allowing WP Engine to access WordPress.org resources until October 1.
Later, Automattic sent a proposed seven-year term sheet to WP Engine, requesting a 8% royalty fee on WP Engine's gross revenues per month for using the WordPress and WooCommerce trademarks. The term sheet offered WP Engine two options:
Pay an 8% royalty fee on its gross revenues per month.
Commit a certain number of people hours and money to contribute to WordPress's core features and functionalities.
WP Engine refused to accept either option, citing concerns that they would restrict its ability to fork plugins and extensions from Automattic and WooCommerce.
WP Engine subsequently filed a lawsuit in a California court, accusing Mullenweg of having a "long history of obfuscating the true facts" about his control of WordPress Foundation and WordPress.org. The lawsuit also alleges that Mullenweg has conflicts of interest, which could potentially destroy trust in the WordPress community. WP Engine claims that it has no choice but to pursue this case to protect its employees, agency partners, customers, and the broader WordPress community.
The controversy surrounding WP Engine and Automattic is significant because it highlights the tension between the open-source community and commercial entities that rely on open-source software. Automattic, as the company behind WordPress.org, has a unique position in the community, and its actions are being closely watched by developers and users.
The dispute also raises questions about the nature of open-source software and the principles that govern its development and distribution. WP Engine's allegations suggest that Automattic is trying to exert control over the WordPress community by imposing constraints on developers and restricting their freedom to build, run, modify, and redistribute WordPress projects.
The controversy is likely to continue, with both parties engaging in a public battle over trademark infringement, royalty fees, and the future of the WordPress community.

A federal judge blocked one of California’s new AI laws on Wednesday, less than two weeks after it was signed by Governor Gavin Newsom.
A federal judge blocked one of California’s new AI laws on Wednesday, less than two weeks after it was signed by Governor Gavin Newsom. Shortly after signing AB 2839, Newsom suggested it could be used to force Elon Musk to take down an AI deepfake of Vice President Kamala Harris he had reposted (sparking a petty online battle between the two). However, a California judge just ruled the state can’t force people to take down election deepfakes – not yet, at least.
AB 2839 targets the distributors of AI deepfakes on social media, specifically if their post resembles a political candidate and the poster knows it’s a fake that may confuse voters. The law is unique because it does not go after the platforms on which AI deepfakes appear, but rather those who spread them. AB 2839 empowers California judges to order the posters of AI deepfakes to take them down or potentially face monetary penalties.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the original poster of that AI deepfake – an X user named Christopher Kohls – filed a lawsuit to block California’s new law as unconstitutional just a day after it was signed. Kohls’ lawyer wrote in a complaint that the deepfake of Kamala Harris is satire that should be protected by the First Amendment.
On Wednesday, United States district judge John Mendez sided with Kohls. Mendez ordered a preliminary injunction to temporarily block California’s attorney general from enforcing the new law against Kohls or anyone else, with the exception of audio messages that fall under AB 2839.
Read for yourself what Judge Mendez said in his decision:
“Almost any digitally altered content, when left up to an arbitrary individual on the Internet, could be considered harmful. For example, AI-generated approximate numbers on voter turnout could be considered false content that reasonably undermines confidence in the outcome of an election under this statute. On the other hand, many ‘harmful’ depictions when shown to a variety of individuals may not ultimately influence electoral prospects or undermine confidence in an election at ALL. As Plaintiff persuasively points out, AB 2839 ‘relies on various subjective terms and awkwardly-phrased mens rea,’ which has the effect of implicating vast amounts of political and constitutionally protected speech…
[W]hile a well-founded fear of a digitally manipulated media landscape may be justified, this fear does not give legislators unbridled license to bulldoze over the longstanding tradition of critique, parody, and satire protected by the First Amendment. YouTubevideos, Facebook posts, and X tweets are the newspaper advertisements and political cartoons of today, and the First Amendment protects an individual’s right to speak regardless of the new medium these critiques may take.
Other statutory causes of action such as privacy torts, copyright infringement, or defamation already provide recourse to public figures or private individuals whose reputations may be afflicted by artificially altered depictions peddled by satirists or opportunists on the internet…
The record demonstrates that the State of California has a strong interest in preserving election integrity and addressing artificially manipulated content. However, California’s interest and the hardship the State faces are minimal when measured against the gravity of First Amendment values at stake and the ongoing constitutional violations that Plaintiff and other similarly situated content creators experience while having their speech chilled.“
In essence, he ruled the law is simply too broad as written and could result in serious overstepping by state authorities into what speech is permitted or not.
Because this is a preliminary injunction, we’ll have to wait and see whether this California law is truly blocked for good, but either way it is unlikely to have much effect on next month’s election. AB 2839 is one of 18 new laws relating to AI that Newsom has signed in the last month.
It’s nevertheless a big win for Elon Musk’s camp of free speech posters on X. In the days following Newsom signing AB 2839 into law, Musk and his usual allies posted a series of AI deepfakes that tested California’s new law.
The proliferation of robots like Boston Dynamics’ Spot has showcased the versatility of quadrupeds.
The proliferation of robots like Boston Dynamics’ Spot has showcased the versatility of quadrupeds. These systems have thrived at walking up stairs, traversing small obstacles, and navigating uneven terrain. Ladders, however, still present a big issue — especially given how ever present they are in factories and other industrial environments where the systems are deployed.
ETH Zurich, a prestigious institution in the field of robotics, has made a groundbreaking discovery in the development of a quadrupedal robot capable of climbing ladders. The research, which utilized the ANYMal robot from the school's spinoff, ANYbotics, showcases a novel approach to tackling this challenging task.
Previous attempts at climbing ladders have primarily focused on bipedal humanoid-style robots and specialty ladders, but these efforts have been slow and ineffective. In contrast, the ETH Zurich team's solution involves equipping the quadruped robot with specialized end effectors that hook onto ladder rungs, allowing it to climb with greater ease and speed.
The key innovation behind this system is the use of reinforcement learning, which enables the robot to adapt to the unique characteristics of different ladders. This machine learning approach allows the robot to learn from its mistakes and adjust its climbing strategy in real-time, ensuring a high success rate even when faced with challenging ladder angles.
The research team reports a remarkable 90% success rate when navigating ladder angles between 70-90 degrees, which is a significant improvement over current state-of-the-art systems. Moreover, the system's climbing speed is increased by 232 times compared to existing solutions, making it a more efficient and effective tool for various applications.
One of the most impressive aspects of this system is its ability to correct itself in real-time. When the robot misjudges a run or incorrectly times a step, it can adjust its climb on the fly, ensuring a smooth and safe ascent. This capability is particularly important in industrial settings, where safety and efficiency are paramount.
The implications of this research are far-reaching, as it expands the scope of industrial quadruped robot applications beyond traditional inspection tasks on flat terrain to more complex and challenging environments. The synergies between the robot's morphology and control policy, as highlighted by the researchers, demonstrate the potential for quadrupedal robots to tackle a wide range of tasks that were previously thought to be the exclusive domain of bipedal robots.
The development of a quadrupedal robot that can climb ladders has significant potential to transform various industries, including manufacturing, construction, and search and rescue. This breakthrough could enable robots to access areas that were previously inaccessible, allowing for more efficient and effective operations. For instance, in manufacturing, robots could climb ladders to inspect and maintain equipment, while in construction, they could climb ladders to inspect and repair buildings. In search and rescue operations, robots could climb ladders to access areas that are difficult or impossible for humans to reach.
Overall, the ETH Zurich team's breakthrough in developing a quadrupedal robot that can climb ladders is a significant achievement that has the potential to revolutionize various industries and transform the way we approach complex tasks.

We recently asked Meta if it trains AI on photos and videos that users take on the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.
We recently asked Meta if it trains AI on photos and videos that users take on the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. The company originally didn’t have much to say.
Since then, Meta has offered TechCrunch a bit more color.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has been developing its AI-powered smart glasses, known as the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. These glasses are designed to provide users with a more immersive and interactive experience, using advanced computer vision and machine learning capabilities.
As part of its AI development process, Meta relies on a large dataset of images and videos to train its AI models. This dataset is used to teach the AI system to recognize patterns, objects, and behaviors in images and videos.
In the case of the Ray-Ban smart glasses, Meta is using user-generated photos and videos as part of its AI training dataset. This means that the AI system is learning from content that users have captured themselves, using the glasses' cameras.
The exact way in which user-generated content is used in Meta's AI training process is not entirely clear. However, it is likely that the content is used to train the AI system on various tasks, such as:
Object detection: The AI system may be trained to detect specific objects or patterns in images and videos, using user-generated content to learn about the world.
Image recognition: The AI system may be trained to recognize specific images or scenes, using user-generated content to learn about the diversity of human experience.
Behavioral analysis: The AI system may be trained to analyze user behavior, using user-generated content to learn about human interactions and activities.
The use of user-generated content in AI training raises several concerns and risks, including:
Data privacy: The use of user-generated content in AI training raises concerns about dataprivacy and the potential for surveillance.
Bias and fairness: The use of user-generated content in AI training may introduce bias and unfairness into the AI system, if the content is not representative of diverse perspectives and experiences.
Security: The use of user-generated content in AI training may create security risks, if the content is not properly sanitized and protected.
Meta's Response
In response to these concerns, Meta has stated that it is committed to protecting user data and ensuring that its AI systems are developed with responsible and ethical considerations in mind. Meta has also announced plans to provide more transparency and control over user data, including the ability for users to opt-out of AI training on user-generated content.
The use of user-generated content in Meta's AI training practices on the Ray-Ban smart glasses raises important questions about data privacy, bias, and security. While Meta has announced plans to address these concerns, more information is needed to fully understand the company's approach to user data and AI training. As the use of AI-powered smart glasses becomes more widespread, it is essential for companies like Meta to prioritize transparency and accountability in their development of AI systems.

A little dog took on a mamma black bear in eastern Newfoundland and came out only a little worse for wear, a veterinarian says.
Dr. Maggie Brown-Bury, a small animal veterinarian currently working at the Community Vet Hospital in Clarenville, treated a Boston terrier this weekend for a laceration and sore muscles.
"We got a call that someone's dog had been attacked by a bear — which sounded very dramatic when we got the call," she said in an interview.
"The dog just had one small little laceration, which is not usually the situation when you hear 'bear versus dog.'"
The incident took place at a cabin near Clarenville. While she said there were bear droppings in the area, the dog's owners told her they hadn't seen a bear on the property in 25 years.
Brown-Bury said the owner was locking up a greenhouse when she spotted a black bear.
"There's a reason we use the term 'mama bear' to, you know, imply someone is very protective," said Brown-Bury.

iOS 18: Privacy Game-Changer?
With iOS 18, you can finally control which contacts apps see instead of exposing your whole address book. Apple says it’s not a big deal for developers, but some startups are feeling the heat. Fewer users are sharing contacts, and for social apps that rely on friend connections, this could be a make-or-break moment. Apps like TikTok, which recommend content based on interests rather than social circles, might take the lead in the future.

Did Apple Just Kill Social Apps?
iOS 18 will allow users to select which contacts to share with an app instead of revealing their entire address book.

Google is taking its rivalry with OpenAI to another level
Teams at Google have made progress on software for AI models with humanlike reasoning abilities in recent months. The company is using chain-of-thought prompting, which allows large language models to solve multistep problems using a series of intermediate reasoning steps, to give models the ability to solve more complex math- and company-programming-related inquiries. OpenAI's new o1 model also uses chain-of-thought prompting. Google employees were worried last year that the company had fallen behind in the AI race, but they are now less concerned now that Google has unveiled more products to compete with.

Largest brain map ever reveals fruit fly’s neurons in exquisite detail
Researchers now have a map of the brain of a single female fruit fly that includes nearly 140,000 neurons and captures more than 54.5 million synapses. The map was described in a package of nine papers by a consortium known as FlyWire, which is co-led by neuroscientists Mala Murthy and Sebastian Seung at Princeton University in New Jersey. It has been in development for more than four years. The map shows how neurons connect through chemical synapses but doesn't offer any information about electrical connectivity between neurons or how neurons chemically communicate outside synapses.

OpenAI closes funding at $157 billion valuation, as Microsoft, Nvidia, SoftBank join round
OpenAI closed its long-awaited funding round, announcing that it raised $6.6 billion at a $157 billion post-money valuation.
OpenAI has closed its long-awaited funding round at a valuation of $157 billion, including the $6.6 billion the company raised from an extensive roster of investment firms and big tech companies.
#openai #funding #technolgoy #newsonleo
OpenAi, a leading artificial intelligence (AI) research organization, has secured a significant funding round, reportedly led by Thrive capital, with participation from existing investors Microsoft, NVIDIA, SoftBank, and other prominent firms. The round is valued at a staggering $1 billion, with Thrive planning to invest a whopping $1 billion, according to previous reports.
The company's rapid growth, which began with the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022, has been a major story in the tech industry, bringing generative AI into the mainstream and paving the way for tens of billions of dollars in AI infrastructure investments.
OpenAI's revenue has skyrocketed, with the company generating a remarkable $300 million in revenue last month alone, representing a 1,700% increase since the beginning of last year. The company expects to bring in a staggering $11.6 billion in sales next year.
However, OpenAI's revenue comes at a significant cost, as the company needs to purchase large quantities of Nvidia's graphics processing units (GPUs) to train and run its large language models. As a result, OpenAI expects to lose around $5 billion this year, highlighting the significant investment required to maintain its growth trajectory.
Microsoft has invested billions of dollars in OpenAI and is a key partner as the software giant bolsters its Azure cloud business. OpenAI boasts an impressive 250 million weekly active users on ChatGPT, with 11 million ChatGPT Plus subscribers and 1 million paying business users.
Despite its rapid growth, OpenAI is experiencing growing pains, including the departure of key executives. Last week, OpenAI Chief technology Officer mIRA Murati, research chief bOB McGrew, and research vice president Barret Zoph announced their departures. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman denied reports that the departures were related to the company's potential restructuring to a for-profit business.
The company held an all-hands meeting to discuss the potential restructuring, which would see the nonprofit segment remain as a separate entity. Altman denied reports that he would receive a "giant equity stake" in the company, calling the information "just not true."
The latest funding round also included participation from Khosla Ventures, Altimeter Capital, Fidelity, MGX, and Tiger Global. OpenAI Chairman Bret Taylor stated that while the board has discussed the potential restructuring, no specific figures have been discussed nor have any decisions been made.
Overall, OpenAI's latest funding round is a significant milestone in the company's rapid growth and expansion into the AI market. However, the company's costly revenue and growing pains will likely continue to be a challenge in the coming years.

Voyage AI is building RAG tools to make AI hallucinate less

Voyage AI's Approach to RAG: A Novel Solution
Voyage AI's Growth and Funding: A Bright Future Ahead
Voyage AI has just over 250 customers and has raised a total of $28 million in funding, including a $20 million Series A round led by CRV with participation from Wing VC, Conviction, Snowflake, and Databricks. The company plans to use the funding to launch new embedding models and double its size. With its innovative approach to RAG and its commitment to providing high-quality solutions, Voyage AI is well-positioned to become a leader in the RAG space.
Conclusion
Voyage AI's Retrieval-Augmented Generation technology has the potential to revolutionize the way companies approach AI-powered search and retrieval. By providing a more accurate and context-aware approach to RAG, Voyage AI is helping companies to improve the quality of their AI-powered responses and reduce the risk of hallucinations. With its customizable solutions and cost-effective approach, Voyage AI is poised to become a major player in the AI landscape, helping companies to make better decisions and drive business success.

WP Engine sues WordPress co-creator Mullenweg and Automattic, alleging abuse of power
#wordpress #newsonleo #technology
The Allegations Against Automattic and Matt Mullenweg
WP Engine, a managed WordPress hosting company, has accused Automattic, the company behind WordPress.org, and its CEO Matt Mullenweg of violating the principles of open-source software. Specifically, WP Engine alleges that Automattic and Mullenweg are trying to exert control over the WordPress community by imposing constraints on developers and restricting their freedom to build, run, modify, and redistribute WordPress projects.
The Criticism of WP Engine by Matt Mullenweg
The controversy began when Matt Mullenweg, the CEO of Automattic, criticized WP Engine for allegedly infringing on WordPress and WooCommerce trademarks. Mullenweg described WP Engine as the "Cancer of WordPress", suggesting that the company was harming the open-source community. WP Engine responded to the criticism by sending a cease-and-desist letter, asking Mullenweg and Automattic to withdraw their comments.
The Counter-Cease-and-Desist Letter
The Proposed Term Sheet
Later, Automattic sent a proposed seven-year term sheet to WP Engine, requesting a 8% royalty fee on WP Engine's gross revenues per month for using the WordPress and WooCommerce trademarks. The term sheet offered WP Engine two options:
WP Engine refused to accept either option, citing concerns that they would restrict its ability to fork plugins and extensions from Automattic and WooCommerce.
The Lawsuit
WP Engine subsequently filed a lawsuit in a California court, accusing Mullenweg of having a "long history of obfuscating the true facts" about his control of WordPress Foundation and WordPress.org. The lawsuit also alleges that Mullenweg has conflicts of interest, which could potentially destroy trust in the WordPress community. WP Engine claims that it has no choice but to pursue this case to protect its employees, agency partners, customers, and the broader WordPress community.
The Context of the Controversy
How do you think this situation will affect WP Engine's reputation and business in the long run?
Could this dispute lead to a fork in the WordPress project?

Judge blocks California's new AI law in case over Kamala Harris deepfake
#ai #california #technology #newsonleo

Potential Idea for my Creator's Subscription
Game Giveaways
This idea is about doing Monthly/Weekly Game Giveaways on SteamGifts.com.
Each giveaway will have its post on HIVE along with SteamGifts's page having INLEO links + a message "Funded by my Subscribers at Inleo.io!"
SteamGifts will handle the Steam side of the giveway and choosing a winner at random. After that, I'll announce the winner on HIVE, recording the giveaway details on the blockchain.
Whitelist Giveaways: Occasional restricted giveaways. One can join my whitelist by commenting their Steam Account on my HIVE's posts. Some people will join HIVE, and 'll enrich its gaming community because of this!
Why Subscribe:
This will be a great advertisement for INLEO and its Creators Subscription feature to the gaming community. It won't be "in your face" either, as people joining through this will only be the ones really interested to join.
This is an awesome idea
I think games can have really cool use cases for Creator Subs. Exclusive content, offers, DLC, skins, etc.
I tagged @simplegame on one of my ideas. I think there are so many out there. We need people to start experimenting with them and grow their following
These are usually for people specialized in one game, or the creators of games. Someone who makes reviews on the side should use other ideas:
sounds like a great idea, and it’s related to gaming which you really like so I’m all for it.

Lottery/Giveaway idea has been successfully tried on #hive by many users. There is no need to make it exclusively about Steam games. Any game or even cryptocurrency rewards could be mixed up if necessary.
Yeah, I'm thinking of using SteamGifts because it's a less headache for choosing winners fairly, and will give a lot of exposure for HIVE/Inleo to the outside gaming community.
Though, doing HIVE-exclusive giveaways for non-Steam games sounds like a good idea too!

What It Means
Posterity is a formal word that refers to all future generations of people. It is often, though not always, used with for or to.
//A record of the events was preserved for posterity.
//The truth about what happened was lost to posterity.

In this #threadstorm I shared a summary of my new post where I talked about how i got into troubles several times for staying out late as a response to the Hivenaija weekly prompt.

#Hivenaija #outreach #threadstorm
I loved staying out late then as a kid because of a new football stadium that was constructed in where I lived. I was always feeling like a star whenever play in the field because of the lights there. But I had to change soon because of my parents.
