Yea i mean it all feels very niche to me. As the type of community hive will attract at this point. like for example. if this was going to be a blogging platform used by big content influencers which every platform has the famous people.. famous writers and authors finding use in it. I think it would have already happened.
So as far as a niche community that's small. I can see hive doing pretty well in that. Like if you're kinda at the top of hive and you already have your base established and they kinda loyal. That can work out for some people. If there was significant value i just would have to believe you'd see celebrity endorsements by now and use. You'd see alot of things i think that they would have. It's going on 5 years now. EOS was big.. Dan Larimer was pretty big as far as the mainstream of crypto went. So i kinda feel like the spark should have been lit by now.
I'll only say that at this point. If i were hive i'd be looking to just use the dao to pay off famous content people, celebrities etc., Some things can run on autopilot. Do just fine. However the more complex a system gets the less that becomes idea. So Hive is at those levels. Those are just my thoughts i could be wrong. I probably don't see hive breaking out of the 200 zone area anytime soon and i think the longer it takes the less likely it becomes because you probably going to have other systems evolving against the organic development. So my inner voice tells me it doesn't look like it should look. However maybe in the future hive does something to turn that around. So far i don't see that. Technology is one of those things i don't think you can wait for to see what happens. So i think one thing steem did well. Although it doesn't seem to be ending well and maybe that's because of the management. However i'd say having steemit.com kinda lead and organize around it.. that i thought was very smart. The struggle of the hbd i don't see as smart and i'll tell you why.
for the hbd to really matter. first you'd want some significant vendor and merchant acceptance. I don't think hive has even one reputatble vendor out there. If you look at something like bitcoin cash. they had over 4000 vendors. In various countries some big brands. Even like Dash as well in many countries running huge ad campaigns. So that does add some use and value to their currencies. As currencies aren't about speculation they are about being a medium of exchange. So first you have to cover that basis to even be a store of value. If you don't cover that properly then the value of your crypto is always going to be questionable. So i dont think hbd has done a good job as far as stability. It needs people accepting it and using it at a much larger scale. So if we start to see like hbd being accepted at a considerable amount of vendors etc., then i'd feel better about saying it performed well. See the problem is really strong good investors know these things. They aren't going to invest just because a market moves up. They understand the smoke and mirror of the markets that's for amateurs. THe real money finds it way in significant things. So someone in a blog mentioned hive may just end up like the monaco of crypto.
I think that's fine. I think sometimes it's fine to settle for being in a lane you can work in..We just know we have to keep a certain lid on expectations and again i could be wrong but so far my inner voice has served me well. The future can change we'll see. I prefer the path of least resistance. I want people to say your platform is something that i really need to use. Many products exist that way based on the need it fulfills i have to use it and not just i'd like to use it lol.

I dunno. I disagree. I think the only way to get influencers in here is marketing to them. If they knew about it, they'd be here. Period. They would bring their followers as well. I think we want them here, but we also are only so big and can handle only so much at this point.
We gotta grow incrementally, imho.
Cuz we aren't very big. There is not a lot to pluck from here yet. You still have to invest
a lot here to get huge upvotes, for the most part. And that formula doesn't work as much anymore The formula here is not based on any advertising or "thumbs up" algorithm they can hack. And it's too much of a guessing game on getting followers. It's just not something they understand or want to fuss with. So they leave.
