As we take a little break in between episodes, I’m looking for the community’s help and support in two initiatives:
- Up to five honest reviews of Hunting Midnight Episode 1
- New readlist members (people that actually want to read the story)

😀 Let’s start with the simple one!
I challenge everyone who is a fan of the story to try and think of one other person who might also like to read Hunting Midnight. This is not a “tag 3 friends” thing. Just one person.
Leave a comment here (or anywhere on Hive that makes sense) tagging them and inviting them to join the readlist. Or, you can talk to them privately, but one of you will need to tell me who referred who because if someone joins on your referral:
- You will get 1 HSBI 🎉
- They will get 1 HSBI 🎉🎉
- And I’ll raffle off 1 HSBI to the entire readlist! 🎉🎉🎉
Yup, that's 3 HSBI for legitimate new referrals to the readlist.

If you can get a new person to sign up to Hive to join the readlist, then that would be fantastic. In fact, that’s a general long term goal of posting serial fiction here—attracting new users! If this is the case please get in touch with me so I can help in any way with their onboarding (and screen to ensure that “your friend” is not just you being a cheat 😛).
If we get new Hive users to sign up, I’ll make sure that you both get a little extra support for the effort!

I'll consider up to three referrals per person max, depending on the circumstances. If you have a whole crowd of people you want to refer, just know that the more people who read and engage will—in the long term—lead to my ability to increase prizes and reader rewards :)

✅ Requirements:
- You must reach out to me in order to become an approved reviewer. Preference will be given to those who have been engaging with the story or who have a good posting track record on Hive. Apply in the comments or find me on Discord:
jfuji#0169. - I will only approve your intention to review, not the content of the review. ⚠️ It is important to me that the review is honest. Please feel free to include any criticisms or notes for improvement!
- The review can be in any language, but needs to include an English translation if not in English.
- We will figure out together which community the review should be posted in. Ideally it is a large, general, and active community. I for sure would like to see one in Hive Book Club. Thoughtful Daily Post is another strong contender. The idea is to expose Hunting Midnight to new audiences here on Hive!
- Once approved, I will add your name to the table below
- There is no hard deadline to complete the review, but ideally it doesn’t take more than 1–2 weeks once you are assigned
- the 15 Hive and 15 HSBI will be sent once the review is posted
- Openings will be first come first serve. If someone has to drop out, I’ll keep folks informed over the course of the regular giveaways

📚 Readlist 📚
I'm not good enough to write a review in english, but the iniziative is great and I hope you'll find 5 people who could join the challenge and help you spread your story (which I'm following with every new part you publish and finding really enjoyable, even if the fantasy setting of the Childseeker's War was closer to my tastes).
For the other challenge I'm going to tag someone because I really think he could be interested in reading the story, as he's writing one of his own about Splinterlands!

Oh, that reminds me, I meant to allow for any language as long as there was an English translation included. I'll update that now and let me know if it changes your mind :D
Well, even if I don't like using translators (at least not when I try to write something more complex, like my opinion about something or a review, where I like to use the right words, but, then, I'm unable to translate them correctly and online translators neither do a great job), I'll try to participate, as this time I'm reading the novel since its start :) it's always hard to find some free time, but I'll try!

Nope, for comments and short writings I don't use a translator, only my awesome (sarcasm over 9,000!) english skills ahahah
A good italian community is Olio di Balena: it could be of your interest? The only downside is that, usually, the majority of us, italians, isn't very good when it comes to speak and read foreign languages.. so there's a good chance that, even if they find my review (if I will be able to write it) interesting, then they won't be able to follow your novel, as your english is way above italian-school level
I'm willing to take that chance! Let's go with Olio di Balena so you can write the main review in Italian. You never know, in the future it could be very useful in helping me reach an international market!
Also, thank you for the kind words! The next episode may start to remind you more of the CSWar style fantasy, but that's all I will say 🤐
Curiously enough, the first ever piece of fiction I tried here on Hive was Splinterlands fanfic! I had a plan to regularly enter the social media challenge with a vignette based on a card's lore. Ultimately I didn't pursue that as S&S soon became a thing and the opportunity for these serial ideas emerged. Though it's still something that I may consider as a way to raise my writing profile here in general 😊
Ahahah I've just read it! I like Grund as a card.. and as a charachter now! You should have kept writing them, maybe, as this one is hilarious and surely helped you gaining a bit more Hive for your effort, due to being elegible for the Spl challenge!

Actually, i got hooked on the previous novel by fuji (i advise to read it also!), but you could have a try on the new one. Just read the first part if you want, and see how you like it. A new part arrives around twice a week, and i'm pretty sure you will find they don't come fast enough!
