Steemit Basic Income Giveaway (Questions and Answers, Beginnings and Endings)

in #newbiegames6 years ago

Hehe, I didn't expect the last post to turn into a list of gripes about spouses! I guess I started the ball rolling with my example comment! However, after reading the comments, I started to realise there were more and more things that I have been told how to do and still don't do well or at all... I guess that is okay as long as we all have different things that we are good at, and it isn't some basic responsibility that we are shirking!

Anyway, after getting back from holiday and heading straight (literally, off the ferry and off to work) to work, I spent the car drive to work thinking about a new question. It's one of those things where you think of something at the start of the car ride, and over an hour later you hope not to have forgotten it! I'm sure as hell not going to type it into the phone whilst on driving on the motorway!

My Question

My questions this week for a valid entry into the contest are:

  1. Do you prefer Answers or Questions? and why?

  2. Do you prefer Beginnings or Endings? and why?

Both these questions can be answered with respect to whatever field or topic you want or are most interested in!

My sample answer

Unsplash

I love learning new things, and so on the surface of it, it might appear that I prefer to have Answers rather than Questions. However, after I've learnt something, somehow, I start to lose interest, I guess the thrill of the chase or the intellectual hard work is finished. Even when I learn somehting, I have more questions and the thrill of knowing that there is something more to know is just too exciting! However, definitely as I've grown older and had more real life demands on my time, i find that have less time to pursue the questions that I have...

As for Beginnings or Endings? I definitely love the beginning of a music project. The potential, the idealist dreams, the thoughts of the future. The end for me, whilst potentially being a source of pride and accomplishment, can sometimes feel like a sense of loss, a completion of interesting interactions and the end of a epic journey. That said, the finish of a project is also an important time to give birth to a new beginning, if a project doesn't finish, it gets stale and leaves no room and time for a new dream to develop!

Rules

  1. Upvote if you want, it increases the payout and then I can hopefully sponsor more people.
  2. Resteem is NOT neccessary, but the more people see this, the more the people will be likely to be sponsored.
  3. In the comments, answer as best as you can the questions that are posed in the "My Questions"!
  4. I have added a small Steem-Bounty to the post, so that everyone who replies with a valid entry will get something back. If I give your post a small upvote, it is valid (also, subscribe to @dustsweeper for maximum benefit!).
  5. I will be sponsoring as many people as this post pays out in liquid SBD/STEEM. Also I will kick in at least the required amount to round up to the full number. Winner is by random generator after a shortlisting of quality comments!

Steem Basic Income

One of the first communities that I came in contact with at the beginning of my time at Steemit was @steembasicincome. As a beginning author, Steemit can be a daunting place. It feels like you are posting into an abyss with no ability to grow. Steem Basic Income gives you a guaranteed vote on one post a day, thus giving you a small but cumulative over time support to your account.

With this post, I want to help sponsor people who might not even have the spare 1 STEEM that is required for registration. So, when this post pays out, I will sponsor people depending on the payout of this post. Basically, I will round up the SBD payout from this post and then that will be the number of people I will sponsor. (So, if the payout is 2.3 SBD, I will sponsor 3 people).

Last week's winners

The last post paid out 0.000 SBD and 2.262 STEEM in liquid earnings. So, that would make 3 shares.

The winners by random draw are:

You made me think my answers a lot, hehe.Hi @bengy

  1. I prefer answers than questions. Why? Because my mind is always full of unanswered questions, and it makes me no good at all. I need more answers in my life! Ameeeen!

  2. It was a hard one, bro. I prefer beginnings than endings. Beginnings are exciting, for example, the new series are always better when they begin, so you can get involved, then they become twisted and silly. Also, relationships are -almost- always more interesting when everything is new to each other. Well, I only had one relationship, but I think I know what I'm saying, hehe.

Heb, I'm trying to have an interesting competition, rather than a raffle ticket only!

Answers are great for stability! But sometimes they aren't the answers that you would want! But I agree about beginnings, they is something incredibly fresh and exciting about the start of something!

I got your point, bro.

1.I prefer answer than question. Normally I worte one post per day but I wrote multiple comments per day. I asked one question a week but I answer a lots of questions a day including you.

2.I prefer beginning than endings. If I have to do one project I want to do it from beginning. Doing someting in the midway will take more time doing from beginning.

Heh, answers rather than questions! I can see that if you end up writing many answers! Being there at the start of a project is a great way to guide the project to your vision!

I prefer answers in most things, however in astronomy and physics sometimes the question is a thing of beauty in itself.

In literature I prefer beginnings, in art I prefer the endings or at least the finished whole.
In origami I prefer the middle when everything is just starting to take shape.

Do you study physics? That was my first study in university, and I completely agree with the qyesuins bring a beautiful thing!

Lovely to hear that you like the middle of origami folding! I hadn't thought of that, the moment when things take form!

I am a Pharmacist so I have mainly studied physics in regards to how the body works and what can go wrong with tablet making. How our muscles work and how our neurons fire are truly amazing.

Yay! Thanks for the SBI Share. I'm working on getting more shares, so this is great. Now on to your question...

Like you, I prefer questions to answers too. Answers, I feel, have a very definite tone to them. Like something you can't change or challenge. I mean, what if you don't like the answer to a question? Assuming that's the right answer, then you're done. All you can do is accept the answer and live with it. If you argue with a right answer, then you're going to look like a fool. A question, on the other hand, feels like possibilities. If someone asks you a question, as long as it's not something that has been answered before, it means there's something to discover or learn or figure out. Just consider this weekly giveaway, for example. So many people respond to it because you're always asking questions, not simply giving us answers.

As for the second question, that would depend on the situation. Beginnings are always exciting and fun when you're starting something you like, but when its the opposite, they're scary and bothersome. It's the same with endings. Ending a project you love or a relationship that you're happy with is always sad and difficult, but when it's the opposite, like a job you hate or toxic relationship, then it's the best thing that you could do for yourself.

Ha ha, this contest would be very strange if we played it the other way around, with me giving an answer! But you are welcome, for the last share!

But I do agree, I like the excitement of discovery that a question leads us to! Which is why after I discover an answer, I tend to lose interest!

Yes, it does depend on the situation, it is a tricky choice, as you point out quite well! As others have pointed out, they are linked quite heavily, endings also lead to be beginnings...

You're right about that. Beginnings and endings are heavily linked, always coming one after the other.

Thanks for the heads up!

Great topic this week!

I really like both questions and answers :) But I have to say that I favour good questions where the answer is not know. Every answer only brings multiple new questions! As humans we are not able to find all truth so we got to love the open questions.

For beginnings /endings I really favour beginnings. All the opportunity all the possible futures. I guess it is also linked to the first question. Endings are not exciting anymore. Everything is done and definite. They just make me sad.

As you said, the two questions do seem linked for most people (there were a few exceptions...). The excitement and potential of the beginnings and questions are also what draws me. Likewise, the finality of the ending is also tinged with loss, even if it finishes well. In the other hand, as others have pointed out, endings are also a new beginning!

The winners and the new question (Inventions and Technology) can be found here :

https://steemit.com/contest/@bengy/steemitbasicincomegiveawaytechnologyandinventions-aigah6cpbi

Questions, but endings.

What gets me excited about a new project are the questions it makes me ask. Usually no matter how good the answers are, they're just something to get through. I like the thinking that questions inspire.

Oddly, I think, and perhaps unfortunately, I prefer to have something to share at the end than just beginning. I think this might be because, too often, beginnings don't lead to endings. Too many projects that folks have punked out on. So I have an overabundance of beginnings.

Posted using Partiko Android

Huh, that was a surprise! I thought the two parts would be together for most people!

But you do make a good point, not all beginnings make it to a worthwhile end! But they do all end... Just badly sometimes!

Well, but do they? Like, I wrote a script that I want to be made into a movie, so I'm kind of in the middle of the process... but it's been years, and I can imagine never giving up on it, and never finishing it.

Huh, I guess... I didn't think of things just hanging in limbo like that!

I love to debate to the point that I will fight you for hours on a side that I truly don't even agree with. For this reason I love questions. Good questions that make you think. Or on topics that get people mad on one side or the other. I will always take the side harder to defend if given the chance cause then if I beat you for sure you where not ready for the debate you got into. One of the easiest ways to win is with questions. If you know a few facts to back up your side you can frame some great questions and when they can't answer you lead them down a path that proves their side wrong. Cause really most big issues have a right and wrong side on both sides of it.

I like beginnings. At that point in the story things can go anywhere. Endings very rarely have everything you want. Often on purpose cause they want to write another book or have another movie. At the start of something it is new and exciting and full of so much promise. At the end something you are just ready for it to be over.

Ha ha, but that can be a rhetorical tactic that leads to a false dichotomy! Proving one side wrong (partly or fully), doesn't necessarily prove the other side right... But I guess you know that already! If it is only for the debating game it is a useful tool, but too often it lands in political or policy debate...

True I just always try to make sure I understand where the other side is coming from. It is much easier to debate someone if you understand what it is they want or what is driving them to have those feelings cause sometimes you can show them at on your side there is a path to get what they want. Or you can go about proving why they don't really want that. There are lots of ways to do this. Given after a bit I will tell them that I don't agree when what I am saying and they just need to be more prepared for people to attack their thoughts the way I did if they plan to debate them. It is fun to do with the people that show up at my door asking for me to vote for someone.

hmmmmm I'll play! :)

I love answers rather than questions. Questions can spin around and around, generating more questions and sometimes - more confusion! I feel like sometimes people love to LIVE in the questions and they love ambiguity and mystery - just for the sake of being elusive and coy. I don't mind questions - I actually love them! But I like to know that the questions are being asked for legitimate purposes. Remember the class clown that always had ridiculous questions - JUST to disrupt the flow of the class? I don't like anything like that at all! LOL

and answers.... I love them. Real answers. Answers that people have taken the time to stop for a moment, and search their hearts and minds for the things that matter and that will matter to others. I love those answers that bring you peace. Those answers are not always the positives that we hope for! But - even the negatives (that we are hoping against) can bring us closure and allow us to move on!

Beginnings or ends.

I suppose it makes a big difference what we're talking about! LOL The beginning of a diet? or a workout program? or a move??? no. nope! I can't wait til it's ended (or at least into a regular rhythm and pattern! hehehehe) But.... the beginning of a friendship or those beginnings of our dating someone new in our teens (or maybe adulthood too!)

Those were so fun! The energy, the excitement, the never-ending fascination, the long nights, the ridiculous talking sessions, kisses that never stopped! hehehehe those were super fun times! Hopefully there are a few OLD MARRIED couples that still have all that passion burning :)

Those are my answers!!! :)

Phew! Working my way up the comments!

I love questions! Not just because I'm elusive and coy... although, I can be elusive... not so sure about the coy part! But yes, definitely as you said, they have to be relevant questions! I remember in my Theoretical Physics days, there was a person that just kept asking questions... I guess they thought that asking questions by itself was a good thing... however, if they just listened, they would have found the answers already in what was already said... or on the blackboard... right in front of their faces.... Answers, closure... that's a good thing, regardless of which way it goes (good or bad), sometimes just knowing brings a sense of relief and peace. Or more questions....

LOL, you start a diet/workout to finish it? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of it? I thought those things were supposed to be lifestyle changes rather than a temporary readjustment! Which is why I don't even try to start them...

...so let's start spying on OLD MARRIED couples... just for research!

hahahahaha lets just start spying on ALL people. BWAHA HAAAAAAAAAAAA

and yeah - i start a diet to hit a certain goal.
like lose 20 pounds

hahahaha once i do that - i'm like woo hoo. beat it diet!
LOLOLOL

What is this pounds that you talk about? Is it anything like the currency that @c0ff33a and @eveningart use in their country?

So you diet until you lose money? Americans are plenty strange...

Actually!!!!

I did this bet thing once... On a site called Healthywage.

You bet them that you can lose the weight you propose in a certain amount of time.

Wager...and then if you do. You win

I won $2150 hehhehe

.... nothing is more annoying than having the steam taken out of a perfectly good ridiculous tangent with a truthful anecdote!

  1. QUESTIONS! I think because I am quite not contented with answers. I tend to seek more, question more. I doubt that in every answered question, a new question will be formed. And so goes my inquisitive self.

  2. ENDINGS Definitely i love endings. Beginnings primarily mark the start of something, no fun in there. I am more inclined on how things end especially if it favors yoy (lucky you!). You get more excited of the output rather than the input. A bad start would necessarily mean a bad ending.

Posted using Partiko Android

It is great to be inquisitive! A restless mind is a great thing, it leads out of our zone of comfort into areas that other might not.

Oddly enought, from your first answer, I expected you to like beginnings better... but there you go, I was wrong! However, so many people have surprised me with that, I really thought the two questions were a linked thing and almost identical! But apparently not!

well, that's how the mind works.. it never stops.. it is always hungry for knowledge. The more that we acquire new information and then we want to more.

hahahahaha!... I thought so too, that your questions are connected in a way. But they do, really.. Because to me, when you start to questions things, you never stop till you found the answers. On the process of finding the right answers, you get excited to see the output of it. So, you want to know where this would lead you and how things will end.

Question 1: I prefer answers rather than questions, as I like to know something for sure, but a question to ponder about is also great.

Question 2: I prefer endings to beginnings. It's always an amazing feeling at the end of a project, when you finish something you dedicated time and effort to and get the payoff of seeing the result of your dedication.

I do like to know things for sure, but somehow the thrill of questing for the answer is infinitely more alluring! Definitely, at the end of a project, it can be an achievement to be proud of!

Aha, I missed your previous post but I really love this man!

Also:
I love answers. Maybe it is because questions keeping nagging my brain untill I have answers, or because questions remain with insecurity, or because I was trained and raised scientific. We need answers. But always with all answers rise new questions,

and that is were new beginning is. I dont like endings what is a contradict with the previous question. Because and answer is an ending to a question. But beginnings are always inspiring and endings for me often are with some regrets or what-ifs or should-i-haves.

So, is this a trick question or what? :D

Ha ha, Yes, I try to have most of my questions contain some sort of twist or introspection! It gives me a joy to read the different responses, which are often different to what I would think!,

Strange, I was also brought up with a scientific background (and university training), and I like the quest for answers better than the answer itself!

But yes, I had expected most people to have a similar answer to both questions. That question and beginning would be linked together, as would be answers and endings! But as I said, people do surprise me with their answers...,

I prefer answers cause i don't like questions that is why i hate exams.
I prefer endings because it either touching or truth revealing.

Ha, endings and answers! They do seem to go together!

The winners and the new question (Inventions and Technology) can be found here :

  1. I prefer question cause there will not be an answer without a question.
  2. I prefer beginning cause every ending needs to be started with beginning.

This is similar to what I think, the end or an answer doesn't come without a start!

yeah, that's right.

In a social format, I prefer answers! :) If someone asks me a question, I can rabbit on forever with an answer and actually seem sociable, but if I'm required to ask the questions... yeah, we get nowhere. Will just stand there twiddling my thumbs, hoping someone else comes along to break this awkwardness soon. I am horrible at small talk, and horrible at thinking of questions to ask other people.

And, I prefer beginnings! Every story starts with a beginning. I can think of beginnings all day! :D Creating a new shiny character in mind, who they are, what they like, who they're destined to be, and giving them a start in their new life... the endings I foist upon them are usually tragic so it's nice thinking of their beginnings and what they do with their lives, before their inevitable demise. :P

Ha ha! I think I'm the opposite, I often like asking someone something in conversation, just so I don't have to talk!

Ha ha, you are a vicious story puppet master! Tragic stories and endings for the characters all around! No survivors? Did you take your lead from Shakespeare?

Exactly; no survivors! >:)

Actually, in my first story, apart from the unnamed people in scattered villages and random people in a corrupt and criminal city, only 4 notable people die. But it scars those who live on. Tragedy comes in many forms! evil laugh

(I love the people that I create; they become like real people and it hurts me just as much as it hurts them. That probably sounds crazy, LOL, but I end up a blubbering mess while writing these things. I'm not evil!)

Haha, not evil! They died for a good cause... a good story! I can imagine that you would get incredibly attached to your characters, it must be difficult forming and creating them, knowing that their time is limited...

Being a virgo i like answers haha i have so many questions all the time about anything and everything 😂.

And i love beginnings . I love to hear stories of how people met, and how they got to where they are now in their lives🌺. Im a big romantic.

Upvoted and resteemed buddy🌺

Ha, I have no idea about star signs! I only know what I am, but past that, absolutely nothing about what sort of character they are supposed to embody!

Hearing meeting stories is always really interesting, although I find they evolve with each telling!

I love you prompts! But yes, I stayed away from last week, because, well, spouse.

Questions and Beginnings, for sure!

I love it when people ask me questions, mostly because it seems to happen so infrequently. Most people tend to want to monopolize a conversation, even if they don't realize it. A question is the deliberate hand-off in a conversation to someone else. So when I'm asked one, then it's my turn to monopolize for a while! :P

Beginnings are my preference as well, but it's harder for me to describe why. I guess there is just something so exciting and filled with wonder at the beginning of a journey or an adventure, and the feeling is much different than on the return trip. I just love that feeling of anticipation and possibility!

Hope you're having a great week, thanks for being such an awesome part of the community!

Ha ha, chicken! You have made it about anyone, just most people seemed to make it about spouses...

Yes, I see that about questions! I hadn't thought about it, but I see it now! It can be a bit frustrating when someone else chooses to keep the lead in a conversation! On the other hand, it can be also quite amusing if neither party wants the lead...

Exactly, beginnings always seem to take a bit longer! There is just so much discovery... In contrast, the walk home seems to go by in a blink!

The winners and the new question (Inventions and Technology) can be found here :

I most definitely prefer answers!!! The satisfaction of knowing beats the confusion of not knowing by far! This applies the most scenarios, the hunt for finding solutions to challenging questions can sometimes suck up so much time. Sometimes you can get what you need, and it takes hours or days to get the answer! But the eureka moment is so sweet and fulfilling, it stays with you forever! You appreciate the answer so much more!

If we compare endings to beginnings, I have to choose Beginnings! Beginnings are always more exciting and there so much more energy in it! You amped and feel like you can take on the world!! Like travelling to a new place, starting your journey and exploring the unknown, the more familiar something becomes, the less exciting it is, and the less joy you take from it!

Some food for thought: if you take a step back a look at these two question, they are, in fact, the same. Answers are endings and Questions are beginnings. Yet I prefer Answers and Beginnings. So does this mean I prefer all 4 options??

Yes, I had chosen the questions as I thought that would be quite closely linked for most people! That beginnings and questions would be together, and answers and endings would also be linked together...

However, it has surprised me a bit that not everyone has responded in that fashion! Like you!

Funny hey!! I see many others picked this up as well! I should have known you did it deliberately!! You much too smart not to have known!

I prefer questions, since answers require I come up with them. Questions provide me a framework in which to pour all my neurotic demands for attention.

And definitely beginnings. In video games I'll often play til about the mid game and then start over again and again, especially in civ.

Oh, I'm definitely the same with games! It needs to be a great game that holds my attention after the mid game. Usually by then, you can see which way the wind is blowing, barring any unexpected upheaval!

So, my brother and sister drove me crazy doing this when we were growing up. They started so. many. new games of Super Mario RPG and Harvest Moon. It was maddening.

Pffff, you've outdone yourself this week. I don't think you can make your questions any more difficült than this, lol.

I think I prefer answers, because questions often drive me mad. There are so many possible answers to every question, and I really have a problem with deciding on the right answer.

But then there are answers that bring up.even more questions than before. Those are often a real mindfuck for me.

Then again: what would the world be without questions? Asking questions makes us grow. It's the way to learn new things, and to me, learning new things is very important.

Beginnings are exciting, new and interesting. In spite of the fact that I don't deal with change (= a new beginning) very well. Beginnings often frighten me because I'm not sure what will be expected of me, and where they will lead me.

Endings however, can be a good thing - definitely when it's the ending of a bad experience. But an ending can also be the climax, the proof that you were able to realize something you had set your mind to.
And maybe the best part of an ending, is that it is the start of a new beginning...

I'm not going to re-read what I just wrote, because there is a big chance I delete the entire reply, stay up all night thinking about your questions and still won't be able to give you a clear answer.

Maybe next time, you should ask something about the color of a banana, or something like that, lol

Heh, I like interesting questions and even better the interesting views that other people with different experiences give!

I think you see the similar thing to me, both questions lead us around in a cycle, some people prefer one side of the cycle, but other prefer the other side! It is hard to choose, but it is important that one necessarily leads to the other.

The winners and the new question (Inventions and Technology) can be found here :

https://steemit.com/contest/@bengy/steemitbasicincomegiveawaytechnologyandinventions-aigah6cpbi

  1. I already have more questions than answers so I prefer answers. Questions usually keep me stuck thinking while answers will lead me to accomplish something like what I am supposed to do, how do I do it, when and others that would answer all questions that come along. I also prefer answers so I can better understand other people or happenings around me rather than wonder why is this and why is that.

  2. I prefer beginnings because ending is, as the term implies, a deadend. There is nothing more to do at the end but beginnings bring so much opportunities and hope ahead. I can accomplish more, help more, or even go back to what I have left and start all over again.

Haha, I think there will always be more questions than answers! Answers breed many more questions!

You are another one who surprised me by picking the answers/beginnings combination... so many more people chose something other than the questions/beginning and answer/ending combinations that I really expected most people to choose!

Hahaha! Am I one of the weirdos? Well, my friends call me that once in a while. At least, not so often, if that is of any consolation. 😂

Got it. Thanks.

I prefer Question, questions brings more curiosity and research into a concept, while answers are just one way and might be boring, questions posed in individual different answers, you can see this too on Steemit Post, if a user has written everything and put the questions and the answers there, the reader finds it hard to comments or connect and so on. But if a question is posed out, trust me, you'll have so many answers coming from so many angles and Perspective.

The beginning is very crucial in life, so also is anything I like to get involved in, I always wants to search how it begins, the beginning is an opening to multiple ending while the ending is an end of itself. If you don't know how something begins trust me, to find a solution to it will be hard.

Agreed, questions can lead to discussion and engagement. With a complete answer, there is difficulty in continuing the conversation unless you know the topic in detail and can ask relevant questions again! I've been really happy with all the answers that I get from people from different experiences and backgrounds!

Also agree very much with your sentiment on the beginning, without one, there is no ending!

What good questions this week.

I tell you that I prefer to ask hahaha I am very curious so the questions are always many, so I learn and discover many things. I am also very analytical, so when I want to meet someone I ask a lot and I draw a conclusion from it.

And on the other hand, I prefer the beginnings. They are not always pleasant but what remains is the desire to move on to see what that new path brings us. The endings make me very sad, nostalgic.

These are very similar sentiments to the thoughts that I hold. Questions and beginnings are full of promise and discovery!

Thank you very much for this contest and your effort!!!

This is my entry:
1.) I prefer answers.
Why? I have sent so many questions to heaven. I never got an answer from above.
Life answered me through challenges and lessons, through little gifts and surprises and through people I have met on my path.

IMG_20170208_140550045_HDR-sm.png

2.) I prefer endings.
Why? Because an after an ending comes a new beginning. Ending something, moving forward, begin something new, this is life.
I think ending something is sometimes harder and for me holds more potential for growing and learning.

IMG_20170208_140509551sm.png

Endings are new beginnings, definitely! It is quite poetic that you find your answers through your life experienced, rather than from a source from above.

:^D Yay, I'm early this time! :^D

Now unto the reply here:

  1. Qs o'er As: As a person that dicks around in philosophy, no shocker, I would be inclined to love questions o'er answers as it helps orientate me to the answer. Meanwhile, it helps me find and name more potential questions that may hide in the forest of questions which can help narrow my focus and my efforts when trying to answer them. But even when I do get to answer them, I'm sometimes left to prove it and stumble into more questions that may reveal a better answer or confirm what I already know. Basically: without questions, where would we get our answers and facts?
  2. Begin... o'er ...dings: Wordings aside, I prefer beginnings over endings considering the fact that I really view endings as a glorified beginning to the next day. Not only that, but because beginnings are were we get engrossed on all the possible routes we could follow with the protagonists and see if our predictions come true later. Including the first topic, this is were we get our questions named at the very beginning and develop more questions as to how, why and what things are in a story. Getting back on rail, endings are the mere put down of the ride, the slow-down of a thrill - yet the one that helps us ever more appreciate the beginning thrills.

Wow, getting earlier each week!

I had expected you to like questions over answers, from your earlier posts and comments, it really seemed like that would be a certain thing from you! But you do make a good point, if we don't ask a question we would never have any answers! Or at least, not satisfactory ones...

I agreed very much with you about your thoughts on beginnings/endings. The end really is (hopefully) the start of something new, a new phase of life, a new day and new direction.

I think I much prefer answers I seem to have way fewer of those than questions.
I like beginnings because to me an ending is nothing more that a new beginning anyway.

I think we will always have more questions than answers! Answers breed more questions, and not in a one to one way!

Oh this is so true. An inquiring mid does not help with this either. I usually get a handful of new questions to go with each answer. 😏

As a math professor of many years, I like questions...they lead you to truth.

I like the excitement and anticipation of new beginnings!

A person of similar mind then! My father was a math professor, and I have a background in Physics/Theoretical Physics. The questions are definitely the thing to lead you in the right direction... endlessly!

Do you prefer Answers or Questions? and why?

I prefer Answers because if I am getting answers my questions are getting answered and I am being educated.

Do you prefer Beginnings or Endings? and why?

I suppose it would depend on the situation but in general I would have to say beginnings as that is when most the excitement happens. No-one likes it when a good thing ends.

Answers to questions are an education, as long as you ask the questions!

I don't know about good things though, sometimes they sour after they jump the shark!

I love the starts! I get so excited, usually full of unbridled energy of learning and doing something new, getting started feels full of potential.

That said, endings are my favorite. I love to close episodes down and, psychologically I get a huge boost from 'checking things off' of my to-do list!

A great question is fun, but only because it will lead you to an answer! So for me, answers and endings are my favorites, and of course they lead back to questions and beginnings being opened so that I can get a dopamine rush by ending and answering!

Cheers Bengy!

Like the start of your #smallfishgames! The potential is all there waiting to be realised! But I've given up on to do lists... For a while I had them, digitally, but I found they used more time... Adding stuff rather than getting them done! That said, I still make notes everywhere, as I tend to forget things!

Looks like you like your destinations better, if only if they start new journeys!

Good question this week Bengy!

  • I Prefer question than answers. I don't know why but I do enjoy the explaining science/technical aspect of thing to others.

I used to work in retail selling glasses, and I always get excited when explaining the different benefits of certain designs, or the new and upcoming technologies and how they work and make things better.

  • I prefer endings. I think this is mostly due to me being a bit impatient, people say that sometimes the best part is the journey, but I always want to see the end.

It may be that I want to be better prepared of what is to come, or may be even that I just like having an end goal to aim towards.

That does sound interesting, I love learning about the details of some other person's field of expertise! Although, in this case, I guess this means you like questions being addressed to you!

Having a goal in mind, that is a good reason to like endings!

Do you prefer Answers or Questions? And why?

  • I prefer answers because I have enough questions of my own, already. Don't need any more... or else I'll be way too confused.

Do you prefer Beginnings or Endings? And why?

Well, that depends on the situation... Right?

  • If it's a bad situation, I prefer the ending, when it's over and I can breathe again;
  • If it's a good situation, I prefer the beginning and I wish it would last longer.

Ha ha, answers breed questions! I don't you'll ever be short of questions!

Not everything starts good though! Some good things outlast their welcome... Although, I guess by that definition, they would be a bad thing...

Questions are always better than answers. Without questions, there would be no answer and with each answer (if it is a good one) two new questions will be born so there will always be more questions than answers and that is a good thing. It is the only way for us to move forward and evolve. As for the other question. Endings and beginnings are the same, just not for the same thing. An ending of one thing is the beginning of another so it is impossible to choose which I like better. They are equal. Every ending is also a beginning. It is a Fenix-like metamorphosis with dying and being born in a never-ending circle of existence of any thought, idea or action.

Haha, I knew you would also answer for questions! Questing for answers begins with a question, and answers should breed more questions... pushing the limits of our personal and combined knowledge is the scientific method!

A few people have also stated the linked nature of the beginnings/endings part as well. Endings should result in a new beginning, maybe not in the same area or field, but something new....

Unfortunately, I choosed QUESTIONS rather than thE ANSWERS why? It is because if you choose the answers it means you'll have a restriction in dealing with the learning and knowing anything unlike with the Question you will have a greater possibility of knowing how, why when or what? Coz it is basically needs information.

I prefer the beginning because once you get started you are motivated. You have optimism rather than a pessimism one. Sometimes the beginning is the most tricky and adventurous at stake but it is worth the while after you achieve it. A tears of joy is the best.
I remember the movie of "benjamin button". ..hehehe he was started as old rather than a baby sounds very unusual for me but it gaves me the questions and yet I gained the aaanswers.

Thank you @bengy..

Not unfortunate at all! I think (personally) it is the better choice, although of course others will choose for answers which is also good!

Definitely, the beginning of a journey/project is the place where we have the most optimism... and the most to do! but the journey ahead makes it worthwhile! ... hopefully!

I had forgotten about that movie, I have to watch it again! I think I enjoyed it, but I just don't remember it very much!

Did you already watched it? Its a nice movie.

Yes, I did but I don't remember it very much! Only the idea of growing younger!

Apologies, I missed you entry, but it is a valid entry! I am also sending you the bounty that you missed.

Wow. this is a tough one but after thinking about it this is the only thing I can come up with

Ican answer both questions because they are basically the same.
I have no preference to either because you can not have one without the other.

Maybe I took this too deep. but I still stand with my answer.

That's also a good way to look at it! They are both really quite linked and neither can exist without the other... Although I guess you say that answers can't exist without questions and answers don't (but should!) guarantee questions!

Sorry, I missed your reply and it missed the time for the Steem Bounty. I'm sending you the amount that you would have received.

LOL I did not know about the bounty. I found the two question interesting and thought provoking. I had to think them and everytime I picked it lead me back to the other. Like I said thought provoking.
Thanks thats nice
