His height doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is the amout that ends up under the calculation line when comparing calorie uptake to the calories he burns ;)

It does matter, quite a bit. A taller person should and will have a much higher calorie requirement just to exist than someone who is 10 centimeters shorter. The larger/longer the muscle, the more calories they need to be maintained. This is the same reason why you see shorter guys especially build muscle and bulk up much faster than their friends of taller size. Their muscles are literally shorter, pound-per-pound they will require less calories to function and grow.

Small guys do not bulk up faster if the taller person eats right as well. Smaller guys just look bulked up faster since they need to grow less muscle in order to look big ;)

1,82m not that tall. With 85kg I look skinny :)

The calorie intake was higher before. If we start to count everything we eat we would have a surprise. For example in the morning I eat a 6 eggs omelette with chesse with two leafs of proteic bread(very low on carbs and very high on protein, but more calories). At noon a kefir or a proteic quark with chicken breast salad. At dinner a starter(if I eat with clients) and a stake with mushrooms on the side. If there is drinking involved a beer(1Liter) or a glass of wine. This are easy 3000kcal. I see that I lose fat but not very fast.

You must have a great genetic baggage then, if you look skinny at 85 kilos. I'm 1.83 and my nominal weight is around 75, meaning where I tend to feel best - I'm under it now, I'm at 74 because I'm experimenting with a low-carb diet for awhile, taking myself lower so I can try to build up some more muscle, though it's much harder for a 31-year old than it is for someone who hasn't passed the 25 mark :) I've always been sensitive to carb intake - which isn't helped by the fact that I love pasta and bread-related products - and this experiment has only confirmed this. I am running at 2000/day calorie, which combined with my workout programe puts me at a calorie deficit.

I'm 34, also I feel best at 85 kg. Same as I, very sensitive to carbs, especially pasta and potatoes. I cut them out. Only bread I eat is a special high proteic bread, which is made out of maximum 7%carbs.

2000/day is I think enough for a desk job, without any activity. For one active it would be a deficit.
