Follow me in my 100 day journey to change my lazy ways and unhealthy eating. Stop eating junk, eat healthier. Stop sitting around drinking beer, go out and exercise.
Get fit, get ripped, be the best I can be!
Weigh in and results every 5th day.
Day 35 is over and the results are in! These days it is going a lot slower than it used to compared to the first two weeks I started my challenge. I remember dropping the weight really fast. Guess it is because my body was finally given a breather from all the drinking. I remember waking up feeling uncomfortable and bloated before my challenge. Nowadays, I feel good. Maybe a bit tired at ties but that is only because I am keeping myself awake a bit too much.
I am still impressed by how some of my body's changes. My sweat is odorless since I stopped drinking. This is quite weird for me. I still sweat a healthy amount since summer in South Korea is in full force and we are cooking while outside. Luckily my work and apartment has aircon!
I will do a big post on day 50 showing the results in gif form. Every 5th day result mashed together for a mini video of change. Know this will not happen overnight. Results are a bit slow but I am not discouraged at all. Let's take a look at the results so far.
RESULTS!
Front View: I am not flexing in any of my pics but when I do it normally makes a bit of a difference. This will be in day 50 post. The front is still looking good and my moobs are slowly melting away. I have been drinking way more water (I am not a big fan of water), but know its extremely important for me. I can see the difference in my neck and cheeks changed a lot. This makes me really happy since my face is less round.
Side view: I think I can spot some chest growth from the side, I am really happy that my belly is also slowly finding its way to the door and going away for good. I hit the gym 2 times since my last post and I have been killing it each time! Sweating like a mad man. So far all is looking good from the side. =)
Weight
Total weight lost for the last 5 days...0.1kg. Urgh, now I know for sure the gym is making me gain some weight. No sure how it works and if my muscles are holding water but I weighed on day 4 and I was 76.5kg. Hit the gym that night and then weighed again on day 5... Only to be 77.kg It's not a train smash though. I know muscles weigh more than fat and many people have told me the more muscle I have the more calories I will burn. So just need to build more muscle and let the calories burn themselves off!
I am still holding in there and thank everyone for the support and positive messages you always send me. This as you know has been a bit of a struggle and dropping the alcohol was the biggest challenge for me. I am so much more productive and just a better more positive person as a result of losing some weight, eating healthier and finally no drinking a drop of alcohol. It was hard at first but honestly I am missing it less and less. Knowing how it was and how much crap I just kept feeding my body when I was drinking.
Day 35 done and dusted! To a better me and a brighter healthier future! Steeming on and having a blast doing it. Thanks again for all the support and know I always read each and every message, I even read them at the gym when I take a little breather. Motivates me, knowing I will let some of you down if I stop now or gain some weight. =P
Until next time! Have a great day!
To all my followers:
Thank you for reading! Steem on Steemians!
Nice going mate. Keep it up
Thanks man! I will for sure!
impressive, sir.
Thanks
You're doing great mate. The key is changing your lifestyle to something which you can maintain. Sugar, as you know, is your enemy but once you find your balance you'll be able to eat what you want (you won't even want some of the crap you ate previously) but in moderation. Load of water = essential. So says someone who's had kidney stones 4 times; 3 of those in the last 10 years since I moved to a relatively hot country.
I have generally been lucky enough to stay moderately slim (I'm tall so it doesn't show so much) but in recent months - ugh! So, my fitness freak wife persuaded me to start doing a short workout per day (25 mins) which she found on YouTube. It's awesome - for the first time in 25 years I've been exercising and enjoying it. I'll dig out a link for you - the guy who does it is hilarious. You may find it useful if you can't make it to the Gym one day. Best of luck - Andy.
Hey Andy! That would be awesome if you can send me the link. Always open to try something new and since somedays i run out of time it will benefit me greatly
It's true what you say about sugar. I really dont crave it as much as I did and I rarely miss eating all the junk I did. I must admit though. I need some sugar in my coffee in the morning just for the pick me up.
I have only heard kidney stones and the horrors they hold. Thanks for that. Will drink even more water today =) Thanks for giving this a read and appreciate the kind words. Send me that link when you get some time. Have a great day mate!
The sugar in the coffee can slowly go - for sure. In a previous life (Air Traffic Controller), coffee was a terrible habit for me. On a night shift, if someone walked past me whilst I was working and offered to bring a coffee back with them, I'd never say no. I went home one morning and figured out that I'd drank 18 coffees - AND HAD 18 SUGARS! I quit the sugar, hated coffee and didn't drink it for a couple of months. Now I can't touch it with sugar - unless it's an espresso, which we're given in every Italian house we step into.
Here's the link:
The humour does it for me - he's great. I've done it half a dozen times now and really enjoy it. In my life I've never, ever recommended a fitness video - lol, and I'll probably never recommend another :DI am at work now so just quickly flipped through it, look great though! You can see just by looking at him sweating this will work you hard! Nice! Thanks for this! Will watch it when I get home and try it out! Thanks a lot!
OMG that's way too much coffee. No wonder about kidney stones. I do about 3 cups a day but only my 1st one has sugar in it. Will slowly cut it out in time. Just need my something sweet in the morning .
Thanks a lot for this! Really appreciate it and your kind words! Will go check our your channel. I like following nice and helpful people =)
Keep up the great work ! :)
Will do! =) thanks
awesome
Thanks man!
Wow! Awesome job, you can really see the difference in your face and torso, your nose might have gotten smaller as well...lol.. probably the angle.
Hahahaha. Thanks man! I think its defenitely the angle... Or those nose exercises have finally started paying off =P
If you keep this up you might even inspire my lazy fatness to want live longer! Keep up the healthier living you are doing great :)
I will keep it up for sure! You keep saying you will do it. Try it out! Do 1 week and see how you feel. I will support you all the way and upvote all your posts for a week =P
Any recommendations for a calorie tracker sites? Health and exorcise blogs that you have found helpful?
I have checked out myfitnesspal on google play store. It looks pretty decent. I dont use it though. Feels like too much work keeping track of it all. I manually try and keep count of what I eat. Keeping away from snacks and sugar filled drinks.
I normally know when something is bad so I try to avoid it or eat very little of it. 3 meals a day with no snacking inbetween.
For exercise i have a gym buddy now that is helping me out and drilling me hard. She is pretty fit so I trust her when it comes to what exercises she wants me to do.
Just give it a go. Try a week of eating healthier and no drinking. You will be surprised how hard it can be, the difference is amazing though
Day 1 done. See you in a week. https://steemit.com/fitness/@enjar/day-1-of-a-week-of-fitness-health-challenge

Indeed good sir.

Doing good buddy!!!
Thanks! Trying to be more strict on myself =)
Dont worry about the weight itself. Yes muscles retain water to some degree and they also store nutrients, so you can actually gain weight by going to the gym. But it is not fat! And the fat is, what one wants to rid himself from. So dont worry too much about the figure itself. At 70kg you would be too skinny. Better to try and find some balance, meaning: a little less fat and a little more muscles and you can look a hell lot better at thw same weight.
I guess you are probably something around 1.72m tall? In that case 74kg would be the main goal to get to, you dont need to get to 70kg or even under that.
Another thing avout the weightloss: in the beginning the pounds droppes so quickly because you were retaining lots of water due to the alcohol. The first couple of kg dropped are usually just water, thats why they get back on so quickly as well. But loosing weight other than water doesnt happen within days, it takes weeks. And we could see that happen as well. And even though i mentioned it before, the way your posture improved is fantastic! And we can really see a lot of muscletone building up! I wouldnt be surprised to see you having a sixpack to some degree until day 100. Even without you flexing in the pic, i can already recognize the outlining of the abdominal muscles' structure and you have great potential in that regard!
Wow, what a great reply! Everything I needed to hear to get me pumped and keep going! Thank you so much! All makes sense what you are saying. Thanks.
I am 1.8m tall so I will not worry myself so much on the weight. Will instead just focus on the actual results I can see.
Thank you so much for all the support! I am following you and will try and keep track of your posts. Appreciate the advice and support so I will return the favor in upvotes =)
You are getting ripped, mate – slowly but surely! ;) Cannot wait for that Day 50 gif! Also, I wanted to mention that your posts motivate me to exercise too and to stay away from pastry and candies! Thank you for the motivation! We’re in this fight together! ;)
I love it! Great mate! It really does make a difference to just cut out a few small things on your daily routine. Keep it up and let me know how it goes!
Getting ripped slowly but surely like you said. Just 65 more days to go =)

Thanks mate! Definitely sticking to it! With summer in full force the call of beer is strong, I am stronger though. Resisting all the way!
