I learned about keto for weight loss but it has helped me change my understanding of the human system and how impacted it is by diet. As a healthcare professional that provides cognitive rehabilitation, the pattern of consuming the high carbohydrates with early/serious cases of dementia are stacking up in my personal caseload.
Im going to cut out grains from my diet for as long as I can...I want to cut out rice too but its the main thing we eat and so good but for the sake of keeping my insulin low I will cut it off. I haven't made a final decision but this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I might try water fasting and doing some light workouts or walking.
I have done keto beginning of 2017, I was eating eggs, cheese, avocados, fatty meats, nuts, oils, only carbs were from kale and spinach...but recently I have close to $0 in fiat so I have been eating whatever I have in my house (I am in my 20's moved back in with my mom after my father tried to take the house from her...long story) so basically I eat whatever that's in the house.
But I don't want the insulin spikes so I do heavy weight lifting and HIIT cardio so that at least the insulin is helping to grow my muscles...
When I can afford it I want to go back to eating my favorite keto foods: eggs, bacon, sausage, avocado, salmon, cream cheese, fatty steaks with butter....I CAN'T wait to get back to that...
I also fast minimum 16 hours, 23 when I am ate one meal a day, this week I want to try a 3+ day water fast.
Have you ever tried a water fast? I want to start with 3 days, next time 5, then 7...ect working my way up
You know what...sometimes I find myself KNOWING everything but I don't apply my knowledge...
Just because I have bread in the house doesn't mean I HAVE to eat it...sometimes I need someone to write a comment like yours and it reminds me that I could be doing better... Thank you for the motivation I am going to try to make things work out for me so I can get back into ketosis ...by the way thank you for that big upvote, it really pushes me to keep believing in this site and reminds me that cryptocurrency is the answer to me and my loved ones financial freedom one day.
@haejin 1) Don't use stevia. Its really bad for your health. Stevia is not allowed for diabities patient bc increases blood sugar levels. Cut down carbs and starchy veggies like patotaos. 2) I hope Bernie and yourself don't place @ssjsasha in the middle of your own war, that will not be cool. Keep upvoting him with no harm. Cheers from DC.
I do fasting most days. Maybe once a week or fortnight I will extend the fast for 24 or 36 hours..
Very good for body and mind, also eating/cravings are an addiction so beating that gives a stronger mind to defeat other addictions or mind power to put towards other ideals/goals etc etc..
I meditate every day also, these things will help trading as well, going to trade better if your calmer and more focused of the mind! :)
I really need to start eating properly, I've been going to the gym now for just under three months but I haven't quite gotten into strategic eating yet. I know I would be making much better gains if I did though. Keep posting your meals man, helps give me good ideas!
check out this video and other videos fro Dr Eric Berg. He is one of my main sources of information.
If you're serious about diet and fat loss watch this video. The food I have been posting isn't the best, bread is horrible for insulin. I will try to optimize my diet for steemit so that anyone following gets the best ideas possible.
I usually will eat anything. I LOVE peanut butter. I really like feta. Rye bread is classic. Lol but I'm really wondering how those go together here. I might have to try it this week.
cinnamon too for some added fiber...goes really good..during the summer I love having really red and fresh water melon with feta cheese...the sweet and salty goes good together + the 2 different textures
I lost 50 pounds on a keto diet. Stopped eating bread and pasta; also seriously reduced sugar; relied on stevia.
My blood glucose dropped massively (good thing) and insuline is better than when I was in my 20s. I'm alot older now but healthier than ever.
I also used Exercise by Science and have bulked up pretty well.
Have you tried keto? It seems like you are on paleo?
Everyday I do 16 hour Intermitten fasting. That helps tons to keep the blood insulin at near marathoner levels.

Humans were not designed to consume grains.
