Let me spare you the effort: for 500 points you get a $1,8 upvote, so almost a $1 worth of hive (and HBD) into your wallet. It takes about 4-5 days to get that amount of points if you try to max it out. Hope it helped :)

it gives you 1 point for a full upvote but then falls to like 0.9 points for the second full upvote and so on to avoid abuse

yup they have tipping as well, I mean for the average hive user it's a decent front end

I see , okay I would love to tip the points to others so I will try to hop on over there once in a while .
