Add Whitmer from Michigan to that list. I believe the reason from what I have read from different sides is that its our vice president killing off her competition. Cuomo, Whitmer and Newsom all have political ambitions so crush them out of the competition. Here in Brazil things are going from bad to worse. The new government that was elected after a major corruption scandal broke out during the old government was seen by many as the savior who would clean up congress but, as it turns out, they are just as dirty - actually, possibly a lot dirtier - than the previous one.
Our health minister just quit during the worst moment of the pandemic (I believe he was the 4th health minister to quit in less than a year), our vaccination plan is moving slowly and our economy is falling apart by the day. So yea...

In the United States, we have some areas that are opening, others never locked down. The state I live in did not shut down other than the first part of the virus.

No nationwide lockdown in Romania, but if the number of infections/city rises, there can be quarantines. There's a state or emergency though, you're not allowed to go out after 10pm, unless you have a good reason (seriously good) and you need an affidavits to do that. Stores, restaurants, hotels are open, but there are rules to follow. Vaccination is ongoing.

I used one a couple months ago. They allow you to put "cash" in for one thing. The biggest problem was the exchange rate. I think I paid like $35,700 for bitcoin that was trading at like $33,900 or something like that. But, it was a simple. And, if you think bitcoin is going to a million like I do, that steep rate is peanuts in the grand scheme of things, right? :-)

The ATM's have a website. You set up an account there first. Then when you use the ATM you enter your phone number and put in the money. It then spits out a "coupon". Kind of like at a casino where instead of paying you coins at a slot machine, it spits out a coupon you redeem at the cashier. Same thing here. You take your coupon home, log into your account, and enter the number. The btc then shows up in your account. You can then keep it there or transfer it out to a different account, which I immediately did of course.

Bitcoin ATM's are everywhere. You say it isn't like it is cash, something you take out, but if you want to avoid exchanges or banks, you use cash. you can create a new wallet at the ATM and hold your BTC in that wallet, then sell it when you want.
I have used it in the past, have bought BTC, transferred directly to my Trezor.
Obviously if you're a big player, which I'm not, then you go for another option.

Yes, exactly. You buy Bitcoin with cash, 5 currencies are accepted at the moment, one is the local currency. But you can also sell Bitcoin and then you take cash out. However, when selling, you can only get local currency.

Yes, as Task said, ATMs basically have the function of being able to buy or withdraw our cryptocurrencies in FIAT.
The popularity consists precisely of the high demand for the service. But as there are now several crypto card options, it becomes a much better alternative than an ATM.

If banks does not get involved now, it's a Matter of time before the government start collecting taxes on it, because the company producing the machines will surely pay taxes, and still pay for the location the machine is planted. These payments Will surely reflect in the transaction made on the ATMs.

some btc atms can also accept ethereum, they make sense if they offer a bit of anonymity if you don't want the government to see how much money you made from crypto. Also it's a quick way of getting cash when you need it

Fees are not outrageous. You don't need to put in your name or other details but you do need to provide a phone number ( my phone number is not registered to my name) and there are cameras everywhere, that's why I said it's sorta anonymous

It's an interesting decision and I don't know enough about the technical stuff to say anything. It would require research and actual coding before you can actually decide. At least there is somewhat of a base to start with and its not going from scratch.

My fear is that it will get too complicated. It's one thing to see the possibilities on how everything can fit together. It's another thing to actually do it. I love his passion and enthusiasm and I believe he can do what he says he can do. But, man, it seems like an awful lot of moving pieces. I'll just HODL these BATs in my browser since I think they still got more room to run. It's free money so I am not complaining. Everything has been pumping recently that it's hard to make any sense of the market.
I bought an option on the stock market for a month long play and I exited with a 90% gain in less than 24 hours. Decided it wasn't worth holding it. The stock dropped soon after so I am glad I got out. Too bad it was only 1 option so only about $280 gain (it was a starter position for me to keep track).

Yea I bought it yesterday because the IHS looked good and the stock was around $28. I was thinking it would base a little more allowing for a better average but it gapped up and pumped. Decided to pull out near a previous top around $32.5 but my option gave me enough time till April to play out. It dropped back to the $30 range afterward I pulled out.
Personally the chart was too good to pass on and I was expecting it to hit around $35 to finish it. But this pump up makes me think the dead cat bounce is over so I booked my profits and left.

Ford is heavily dependent upon the construction industry. They sell more F-150s than Tesla does cars (by about double the 2020 numbers).
That is a lot of $70K truck they churn out.
It will be interesting to see who they weather the next real estate downturn.
Their balance sheet isnt strong and they are lagging in autonomous. I dont even think they are a really strong player in electric. Sure they brought out the Mustang but they have few cars in their lineup anymore.

Good night my friends! Well, soon I will go to sleep but I wanted to express a little of my thoughts about the blockade that is very complicated in Brazil today.
As I said in a comment below, things are not looking good in Brazil. As it is a country with a continental dimension, I believe that it is still possible to have a place that is not so affected by the pandemic.
I recently read that hospital ICUs are practically full. In a city close to mine here in Goiânia there is only one place.
Thanks to God my father is much better, because I believe he got better after he was consulted by the doctor who said he was really anxious and this makes the person get short of breath. It was a real relief for us.
My wife's parents are with Covid-19 unfortunately, but thank God they are not at risk of life, but we are here hoping that the period of symptoms will pass.
My wife and I got a bad flu here last week. The weekend was very complicated for me and I am still recovering but if God wants it is nothing serious. We are doing everything we can to avoid being a number of statistics of this miserable virus.
I hope everything is fine with you and your families. It is a very difficult decision about stopping trade or it continues because people are starving for losing their jobs. May better days come from now on.

I dont think it was the best of ideas. It might get a lot of DEC moved over, which, at 4%, could burn a lot of CUB (and some LEO). I think there will be an initial rush and then it will be like this week compared to last: not a lot going in.
But for the quick it and more TVL, it probably isnt a bad move. But I dont think there will be a ton of people using it since Splinterlands is not doing a great job onboarding people either.

The first thing I imagined was about TVL, the ad will attract some players who already have a custom with DeFi and others who like me are new to this universe, this will have some increase in the money injected into the platform.
It is true that it will not be a big change but I think it’s cool that LeoFinance will start integrating second tier tokens for CubDeFi and I’m looking forward to seeing that one day we’ll have HIVE on a farm.

I think it would of been a good year if it wasn't for the lock downs. I don't think the problems in the bond market would of shown up. Personally I see a huge dollar liquidity problem and if Congress doesn't extend the treasury powers, then banks can no longer bypass rules with the treasury backing up the dollars.

Well, they are already "growing" organs for people. I don't think it's too much of a leap to say that most bodies will have "replacement parts" available at some point. Hell, they may just 3D print a new body in 20 years. Then, if the brain is already hooked to the cloud, they could just "download" it into the new body and, presto, back to age 27 again. Truth IS stranger than fiction after all....

The 3D printing of organs is interesting. I havent researched it a ton to be honest but I know it is a heavily researched area.

Yea given the energy crisis we have, I don't see how banning gas stations is going to help. I wonder if Antifa or one of those environmentalist will destroy the existing stations so its all pure "green energy". The energy costs per mile and total mileage just isn't good enough for it to be mainstream. The only reason why I see all my friends and family buy EV cars is because of the credits. Oh that would be interesting and I wonder how long till we can make this portable and mainstream. It would change how we look at labtops and we can see an evolution. Maybe the costs we can save can go towards something else.

Micrsoft's Halolens is now about $3K. That is why they are targeting business. I am sure over the next 5 years, if it takes off, the price will drop a ton.
This is all part of the blending of the physical and digital world. The Internet is going 3D.

This is not surprising. It was expected for the past few years. Chatbots are getting so good, they are replacing a lot of call center workers.

@taskmaster4450le automation makes alot of things to become more effective and makes so many jobs to become easier,but yeah there will be a kind of loss of jobs as many of the chat bots will replace workers at the call centers..
