As Alonso sits on the open market, Mets fans ponder what it might take for the Polar Bear to return to Queens and team up with Juan Soto. At the introductory press conference of Soto, Mets owner Steve Cohen asserted that the team is “still engaged” with the slugging Alonso, and president of baseball operations David Stearns proclaimed that “We’d love to bring Pete back”, and that “Pete’s been a great Met”. For what might exist for Alonso beyond the Mets, several questions still remain. ESPN baseball reporter Jeff Passan articulated on the Baseball Tonight Podcast that there might not be too much of a market for Alonso, which can complicate things for himself and his agent, Scott Boras. Alonso reportedly turned down a seven-year, $158 million extension with the Mets in 2023, signaling his desire to test the waters of free agency.
The Mets continue to be linked to top free agents in the 2024 winter.
The club is reported to have a “strong interest” in third baseman Alex Bregman, according to Ari Alexander of Houston’s KPRC2’s Network (NBC).
Bregman would be another addition to a Mets’ club that is hoping to return to the National League Championship Series and beyond in 2025. The righty slashed .260/.315/.453 with 26 homers and 30 doubles in 145 games, along with his highest HardHit percentage (40.7) since 2019.
Along with his impressive offensive numbers, Bregman also brings gold glove defense at the hot corner. He ranked in the 91st percentile for Outs Above Average (6) in 2024 and was rewarded with his first gold glove at third.
Whether or not the Mets move on their interest is to be seen. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported earlier this offseason that Bregman was seeking an eight-year deal, north of $200 million. It seems high, but, if the Mets want Bregman, Alexander reports that the cost wouldn’t stop them.
“In terms of affording a potential $200 million deal for Bregman after the Juan Soto signing,” Alexander wrote,” those within the industry characterize the Mets as more interested in getting what they want than trying to adhere to any sort of budget.”

I had heard he gave up his US citizenship and moved to another country.
This arrest was shocking to me, considering how long ago he left the country.
The long arm of the US Government is truly a dual edge sword which renders both justice and injustice.

The true uptrend have not even started. , the uptrend will start during the altcoins season , and
alt season is already here.
over 80 percent of all alts are outperforming BTC.
many alts have 3x 5x movements over the last 60 days.
this just proves Hive is a dead coin.
I would argue that the trend isn't broken yet, not until HIVE makes a lower low - lower than those I marked on the chart.
If it bounces while making a higher low than the one closer to it, I'd say the uptrend will continue.
anything over 25 cents is overvalued.
