I gave it a quick thought and I think you could improve the "spammy" reputation of your project having it automatically set the posts max payout based on the length of the "tweet":
ie.@chrisrice
- posts with length below a certain min threshold1 (eg. 250 characters) automatically deny payout
- posts with length above the threshold1 and below threshold2 (eg. 500 characters) have max payout of X (eg. $1 ?)
- etc (more thresholds or just no limits above threshold2)
And no, we don't have a "spammy reputation" we have a good one minus the @hivewatchers tyrant.
Posted via D.BuzzIt was only @logic, the autoritarian behind @hivewatchers.
We have skin in the game and a lot of it.
Our skin in the game is building an amazing use case, that adds value and makes our large investment worth it.

I disagree that there should be any correlation between post size and max accepted value.
Wow, that does sound like an idea and we will likely impliment it.
We have a goos curatoe, not perfect since no one is, but good.

@chrisrice I think that your pending release of blacklists and applying that scaled max_payout for text-only posts would calm down everyone.
Maybe I can even throw in the same for one dbuzz top creator every month.@christice as (non-elected) mediator between the 2 parts. I propose that if you apply the max_payout suggestion above, I will support the @dbuzz account adding it to my database so that @marcocasario will give it a $ 0.20 upvote every day.
No one here is against freedom of speech, the only issue is monetization of low quality or illegitimate content 👍
@chrisrice Addition: if you also automatically refuse payout in the dbuzz app for posts containing only one picture and max 100 characters I’ll increase the amount of dbuzz top accounts supported by @marcocasario to 4 every month. (All accounts voted by @marcocasario get also reblogged)
At least your trending page won't look like this:
Is that really worth a dollar? Debatable.
Or like this....
Everything under the sun is debatable.
Posted via D.Buzz@dbuzz has 350,000 HP so we don't necessarily need support in that respect it's kind, but the issue is the mismanagement ofHHW
Understood. Maybe just don’t get them used to get $ 1 for 10 words though..
Not necessarily. More users = more delegations and upvotes.
How many $1.00 posts do you see with $1.00 rewards vs. posts voted at that amount that recieve more?
Posted via D.BuzzPlease vote with THEIR stake based on what THEY value . . #FreeMarket
Well if more users = more delegations and upvotes than the type.of Dapps that you use.
Do you believe in the free market or force and coersion?

Posted via D.BuzzBtw, have you used our https://d.buzz frontend yet?
Meanwhile, many authors earn $30 - $60 USD per post.
Still a good system, but pennies are being argued over vs. dollars

They do but (hopefully) most of them worked hard to get known and to get their content appreciated.
I know it’s just pennies but I think the argument of the “Hive watchers” is that your system could be abused by farmers and wouldn’t be easy to detect and control.
That could get to significant bucks removed from the pool (and therefore other users).
My point of view is that as far as those short tweets are contained within a community it’s not spam.
Okay, I can see the role being valuable but it doesn't mean they are doing a good job at it.
Posted via D.Buzz@hivewatchers is similar IMO
Also, let the #FreeMarket decide.
And our six figure investment in terms of USD results in success, if not, we lose.
Posted via D.BuzzWhy do we need @hivewatchers intervening and saying whatbis destined to succeed or fail?
@dbuzz has a very solid reputation.
lol
