Abraham of the day - the opposing perspective is of tremendous benefit to you

in #dailyquotes8 years ago

We encourage you to make peace with everyone who opposes you and with everyone whom you oppose, not only because you cannot insist on their yielding to your perspective but because their opposing perspective is of tremendous benefit to you.

You see, because of your exposure to what you perceive as their wrong or bad or unwanted behaviour or perspective—you have given birth to an improved situation. And just as they helped the problem side of the equation to come into focus, they helped the solution side of the equation to come into focus, also; and that solution waits for you in your Vortex of Creation.

---Abraham

Abraham is the name given to a non-physical collective consciousness which speaks through a woman called Esther Hicks

Sabrina & I have opposing perspectives on a number of subjects. And this sometimes leads us into unnecessary energy battles (otherwise known as arguments!) but when I remind myself that her perspective is simply the culmination of numerous external life experiences, just as it is for me, I am able make peace with the situation (and her!) in order that I may discover the lesson I am being taught in this moment and fill up my heart with love & gratitude again :)

This picture was taken on our way to Russia, shortly after we met in 2015

Wisdom, again.

The peaceful consideration of someone else's perspective doesn't mean we are obliged to adopt their perspective as our own... merely that we "see them," but still retain our own experience. But goodness, yes... it can be easy to get stuck in "our stuff" and end up arguing... like all things, staying calm and centered is a practice.

Beautiful words as always. Thank you.

And blessings to you on this wonderful journey :)

What's that saying? Something like holding a grudge is like drinking poison and expecting the other guy to die?

@shayne

Haha! I hadn't heard that one. I love it. And will no doubt repeat it to others. Thank you :)

Good quote Sam, we have to make peace with our enemy :)

Thank you my friend. Making peace is the only way. But the powers that be are very good a creating perceived enemies! As a world traveler I can tell you from experience that the world is a very friendly place and I have not yet encountered anyone I would call an enemy.

A bit difficult Sam.

Not so difficult when you take their perspective into consideration :)

of bullying me? i will have to try very hard :)

Something happened to him a long time ago which is still affecting the way he interacts with the world around him. Things like bullying are a side-effect of these unresolved issues, which originated from somewhere outside of him. So, it is better to forgive him in the knowledge that it is not his fault and focus on all the wonderful aspects of his character :)

I know it's not easy to do this in the heat of the moment. I am as guilty as anyone for responding with anger to insults. But practice make perfect. And I am genuinely grateful for all that our arguments have taught me about myself.

I try to appologize even when I do not believe I have done something wrong, because I understand now that it is not about being right or wrong. It is all about holding our higher vibration of love, gratitude and joy.

For this is the only way to REALLY teach someone ;)

i need that..higher vibration. thanks Sam.

Know that you have it already. And only your mind cuts you off from it. Practice, practice, practice. Learn to observe the way your mind works. Observe your thoughts and ask yourself who is the one thinking them? The REAL you is made of pure light, pure love and pure perfection :)

And the other one is the EGO?

Practice :-)

I must be doing something wrong with these perspectives...getting bullied for years is becoming unhealthy.

What can I say, the biggest part of my life I experienced lots of contrast, like you do. I did not know how life worked! You don't do something wrong, you just have not allowed the improvement in... That is what this filosophy talkes about.

getting bullied for years is becoming unhealthy

Of course, because you pay the most attention to what you do not want, and the real one, you went on, and that difference is negative emotions

Meditate!

Not allowed the improvement in...how is this done?

By giving your attention more to what you do want!
That, you can practice and the best way to start is by stop thinking for some time, best in de morning. That's meditation. Start your day of with a quiet mind.
This is a progressive thing, take 15-20 minutes every day.
These are the processes of the Abraham's teachings and my own experience.
When you type in youtube, "Abraham Hicks", you can find workshops and discussion on many subjects. Thousands of videos

how is this done?

Good Question!

let me check him out ta!

You are doing nothing wrong. Keep reading Abraham every day and practice daily meditation and visualisation techniques. Look beyond the event which made him the way he is, to the loving soul of light beneath. You can help him if you believe you can. And not with your actions but with the way you think.

this will take a lot of thought :)

Abraham has been talking a lot about meditation in recent months. I have heard the workshops until April 1 in Boca Raton.
And that's what I do :-)
Did you hear about my scooter? I only wanted him for a couple of weeks.
All is Well ;-)

Without daily meditation Abraham would not have been able to make the connection with Esther :) So it's an important aspect for sure. I don't do it enough. Just when I am sungazing in the mornings. But as you say.... All is well :)

peace is the way

Yes my friend. Peace is the way indeed ;)

a bit more of peace added to this world
Thank you for another kind energy feeding, Sam.

Energy feeding. I like that! It is my pleasure to share this nourishing food with you :)

Since you used "energy battle" in your post, I felt like coming up with something complementing the bipolar nature of things, that is, with something positive. Although, of course, your post was by all means positive. Good night from Taiwan.

Good morning from Bali ;)

Good morning. Let's make it into a great day. :)

...and that it was. Good night from Bali ;)
