Today the lead strategist of one of the biggest Brazilian stockbrokers made a tweet saying that, because Bitcoin can be fractioned up to its 100000000th part, the limited supply argument doesn't apply to it.

He is a CFA-certified person and it's supposed to be smart so I don't know if he's actually stupid or just spreading some good ol' FUD.

Someone replied to the tweet saying that you can also split the shit out of a gold bar. He deleted the tweet sometime later LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

He sounds like a dipshit who likes to hear himself talk haha atleast we are doing it in an inconsequential manner!

Hahaha good point

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Speaking of gold bars, did you know there is enough gold in space to make everyone on earth a billionaire?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I never thought about that actually, but it makes sense since space is so vast!

That's probably true to the ocean as well... there's pretty much every natural element there... the trick is extracting it!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

...the trick is extracting it!

Yep and technology will figure it out. That is why, in the end, commodities are deflationary. If there is a high price for a sustained period of time, technology will figure out ways to increase the supply.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lol I should make the trip to space then... I think I stumbled on this piece of I formation some years ago. It makes you question our value system.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Being a space cadet could make you a trillionaire if you land on the right asteroid.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

There is an estimated over $500 trillion in and under our oceans.

So the idea that gold is scarce is not accurate. We just havent accessed it easily at this point. Once we do, prices will collapse.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I imagine a world where gold is valueless or not valued as much. Makes the fuss over it for decades kind of a joke.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Decades? Try thousands of years.

Few people remember that aluminum use to be the metal of royalty even though it was plentiful. The problem was extracting it.

Gold has maybe 30 years left in my estimation.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This makes me question the call by many for the return of the gold standard given this information.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, that's a silly idea

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ironic that they make that call on a medium that came from fiat. People do not realize that if we still were on the gold standard, we would be still living life the 1950s.

Innovation came as a result of expanding the money supply globally. An elastic money supply is vital for a variety of reasons, not just fending off recession.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The future of gold is something else. It will be used as a metal, or as a great conductor of heat and electricity, or maybe in art but not as a store of value.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The rarity made it a great store of value historically. However, that could come to an end as we find more ways to extract it.

Technology does not favor scarcity.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Wow. I never thought of that!

Jeff Bezos worth is $193 Billion. There are 8 Billion people on earth. If he distributes all his money equally among the population, he will still be a billionaire!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am not sure I follow your math.

$193 billion spread equally does not make 8 billion people billionaires? Each person would get about $25.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lol, you decoded the infamous SMS joke which confuses many people. I thought no one would notice but.. 🙏

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

2 + 2 = 5.

If the media says it enough, people will believe it so we can go with your numbers.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL that is pretty funny.

Of course, spending a gold bar is much more difficult. You think the transfer time on 100K Satoshi is long, try getting someone to cut a sliver off a gold bar.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Wow I don't know what he was doing. Do you think he was drunk?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hahaha could be
But I think it's just a no-coiner trying to spread FUD

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LMAO. So traditional!

People who say 'bitcoin is bad', they are either evil or ignorant. Don't listen to them.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Loading...

Cathy Wood wants to make a BTC ETF. I don't think the chances are that good since I doubt big banks would want to be 2nd. Even Microstrategy didn't have much luck.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Eh ETF's have been so over played that I feel like a majority of people that wanted to get into crypto via ETFs have found other means now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

They could of but I have a feeling they did not yet. Why? Because they don't want to do the research or keep up to date. So they prefer an easy way to diversify into crypto.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I would disagree. ETFs appeal to the masses and can be accessed by accounts that people cant get into otherwise (like retirement).

The only option out there is Grayscale and most do not understand a trust.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well the SEC hasn't ruled on any of them. And we will end up seeing multiple ones. Like with most commodities, there are a number of ETFs.

That said, being first probably has its advantages.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The first has a huge advantage since I think they will wait a few days or weeks before the next one is approved. This is why I think it will be one of the large investment banks.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It actually might be months before you see number 2 once the first is approved. The SEC doesnt move quickly on stuff (unless they are going after someone).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Did Microstrategy file for one? I know Grayscale did.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh I mixed up Grayscale with Microstrategy but I would not be surprised if they did file for one in the future. It seems like a bunch of people are filing.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The list just keeps getting longer.

I think Goldman is the only major bank to file one, I dont think JPM jumped into that yet.

But I could be mistaken.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think that Grayscale has the BTC ETF monopoly with their Bitcoin Trust (GBTC).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

A Mexican bank to accept Bitcoin?

This is an interesting take for a banker to have. We will see how this one pans out. We see some governments jumping on the bandwagon but this is the first banker that I know of to take such a stance.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Here comes the GEC!!! Remember, GEC is the opposite of FUD. Greed, Enthusiasm/Euphoria, Confidence/Certainty vs Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt.

As much as the mainstream media keep bashing crypto, the fact remains that smarter and smarter people are entering the space. Price can go anywhere, at any time, but the long-term trend is still very, very bullish.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's just an acronym I coined. As far as I know, I'm the only one to use it. lol Although, it was permanently recorded on the blockchain last week when I made it up so....I should have a good case for getting credit. :-)

As far as who is promoting it....I just use it to describe articles that are positive for crypto and Bitcoin in particular. Like this Mexican billionaire, and El Salvador, etc. Positive articles that increase the Greed, Enthusiasm, and Confidence/Certainty that Bitcoin and crypto are on the rise. As opposed to the Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt the media seems to promote.

I'm sure I'll be the only one using the term for a while but, you never know, it may catch on eventually. lol Bring on the GEC!!!!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I just tweeted the idea out.

We will see what the response it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Should I be making t-shirts? lol

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I like it. Let us spread GEC - Greed, Enthusiasm, and Certainty.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I like it!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I like it too! Let's make it a thing lol

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Who are the promoters of GEC?

Is that something the media puts forth or us?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think we'd have to start pushing it in context and hope the media picked up on it. But I think dagger212's permission would be required - it was his idea.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Billionaire and bank founder calls fiat currency “a fraud,” recommends crypto to be part of every portfolio

I wonder if he actually believes that or is just saying that to get some attention from crypto holders... It's a bold claim for a banker, either way

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hard to tell. I agree, it is so far outside of the norm that we have to question it.

It could be a ruse.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's all fake. Just an agreed value between people so we don't kill each other for stuff

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Then there is the Mexican authorities who warn against financial institutions engaging in crypto assets.

It seems that Mexico is about to join the bi-polar list of countries who are on again, off again with crypto.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think its the norm now since both sides are exerting their own influence.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The back and forth. You are right. This tug-o-war will go on for a long while. We just need to keep building up our side of the equation.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ohh, this could be India all over again then...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think a lot of these governments are going to mirror Nigeria and India. The back and forth is going to last.

They simply do not know what to make of this.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Banks are getting more and more involved in crypto. It is ironic.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Interesting (and well written) article on Stable Coins

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't know if I buy it and if I want to have regulations happen. Personally I think after the Titan stuff, I would avoid any algorithmic stable coins and stick with the normal even if they have bad rumors.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Theoretically I see nothing wrong with algorithmic stable coins, but in practical application you must be willing to accept the risk such coin maintains peg under all circumstances.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea I think DAI is looking good as a algorithmic stable coin but I am a little iffy about the rest.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hopefully our HBD eventually becomes a contender in this stable coin arena.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think somebody's math is a little off. Just saw this on Cub Finance for my account.

Cub Finance

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't see that UI error on my screen. I am also a bit surprised that CUB price isn't really moving despite the increase in price of HIVE.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

CUB is still very niche, even more so than Hive.

It will take time for more development. Hive has exchange exposure and a bit of a track record. Cub, not so much at this point.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Nice CUB price. How do I get that price? Is there a club that I have to join.

I am getting less than 1/3 that myself.

Maybe this is one of those visualization exercises. If we all look at your CUB price, it will materialize.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Let us see what Andrei Jikh is talking about today. He seems to be very popular as he teaches about passive income strategies. It would be really cool if he started putting his videos on @threespeak!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea he is one of the biggest influencers along with the Financial Money, Meet Kevin and Stephen Graham.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah. Leave a comment mentioning it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I did as you suggested. There are lots of comments though so I do not know if he reviews them all.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I agree with the following post and people should be looking out further on their investments.

https://leofinance.io/@niallon11/look-long-term-in-your-choices

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Without a doubt. Long term is the only way to look at things. It is amazing how people do not see that.

Look at @onealfa. He openly admits that a lot of his success comes from HODLing. He did very well with Ethereum and I am sure others. He is now gearing up to do well with the 5-5-5.

Some people simply refuse to learn from the successful.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Excuse my stupidity, but what the hell is "5-5-5"?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

$5 HIVE, $5 LEO and $5 CUB. He made a post about it yesterday.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I somehow missed that post. Thanks!

Every person that I have seen that is successful says the same thing. Hold on to what you have.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If you use AdBlock and are having issues with some websites showing blank content, this could be the cause. I use Brave and the Brave Shields are good enough for me.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I was having some problems but I dont use that. There has to be something else going on.

There is a lot of squirrely stuff with the Internet of late. Some sites giving the timed out message.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea I was getting that last week too... it just seems to have fixed itself

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The tin foil hat member in me says the elite are testing it to see what they can close down.

lol it could be just that, we never know with those guys...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is not smart to underestimate what they could be up to.

The problem with conspiracy theories is they usually have a kernel of truth to them.

I got that a few times as well but nothing a good refresh wouldn't solve.

I don't use Adblock since Brave is also doing a good job for me.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Some people don't like Brave Browser because of its built-in adblocker, which when the team needs to update the list of blocked (or accepted) ads, the entire app needs to be updated too. 🤔

Anyway, I like Brave Browser even knowing that fact about its Shields, but I don't withdraw BAT (and just tip them to websites) because I don't want to signup to other websites just for those tiny amounts of BAT (less than $2 per month even when using Brave Browser about 60 hours a month). 🤔🤔

@tfranzini

Brave works very well for me!

I keep collecting BAT because you never know what's gonna happen to it... maybe it moons to a million dollars :P

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

How I saw your comment was "I keep collecting [insert name of any token here] because you never know what's gonna happen to it... maybe it moons to a million dollars". 😅

I agree with you. We need more applications like this. Have you downloaded the beta and tried out the search engine feature?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I currently don't see why I should use Brave Search over DuckDuckGo. 🤔😅

I prefer presearch even if it might take a while to get some crypto out of it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Would you still use that search engine in case they decide to stop paying out cryptocurrency? 🤔

I have just been stacking up the BAT in my browser. As of now, I just didn't feel like moving it to Uphold since it deals with things on ETH.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The highest BAT amount I got from Brave Browser was worth $5 which happened last year, considering that I use Brave Browser about 90% of the time on either desktop or mobile. 🤔

Yea, Brave rocks

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I do not use adblock as I am a Brave Browser user. I do not know why anyone would use anything else. To each his own I guess. I am sure there are people still using LYNX Browser!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It looks like the BMW i3 wasn't such a big hit in the USA so now BMW is going to end its production. Even though it had an important role in the history of EV, it just cannot compete with newer, more powerful models anymore.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is very sad for BMW and its shareholders. I am sure that Elon has something to be happy about though.

BMW ending production

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The legacy automakers are in a heap of trouble. Toyota is in a world of hurt along with Ford.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

But wait, I thought Tesla was going to get crushed by the legacy car makers?

You mean BMW is pulling back some? That doesnt fit the narrative.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL I know right

Haters gonna hate

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I don't really follow BMW but I have seen less focus on what type of car people has now. Or maybe its just me not being part of the crowd of bragging car types.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Go hang out in SF or Southern CA and I am sure the car you drive suddenly becomes more important, at least according to those people.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I guess the trend is to show off cars earned from crypto. Unfortunately I won't be joining in but it does seem nice to see people show that their crypto is worth something.

https://leofinance.io/@trumpman/so-are-we-showing-off-our-new-cars-now

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Stupidity. Bunch of people feeding into the jackass narrative.

Just start to invite the authorities to start looking into things.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I think the authorities will probably aim for those spending a lot more such as for buying a house.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Calling attention is never a smart thing. The authorities are salivating over making examples of people. Flying under the radar is much smarter.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's very nice. Hopefully, I'll never own a car again but it's nice to see crypto getting people stuff they want and need.

To me, it's going to be guitars

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well a car is quite nice in the US since I don't want to rely on something like Uber or Lyft.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What's that old saying?

“The nail that sticks out gets hammered down.”

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL yeah that is my thinking exactly.

Hide in the brush, make it harder to see you.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

As they say here in the USA: Keep up with the Joneses. Then again, there is something to be said about using the money one accumulates to spend on things.

My dad often said that he never saw an hearse with an U-HAUL hitched on the back heading to the cemetery.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Another hit for the Boeing 777. I wonder what the losses will be if they can't get it out before 2023.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Can you imagine if Tesla was on that run with their production line? The FUD would be over the top.

Boeing is in some real trouble. They will survive since they are too important to the US but they are a mess. I wouldnt be surprised to see Congress getting involved.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea if Tesla had those issues, the critics would of destroyed Tesla. But it does seem like there is a lot stricter inspections for Tesla since they keep emphasizing the recalls.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The recall was a joke. It was an over the air update that just added a signal when autopilot kicked on.

A good article about what to do with the price downturn of Hive and Leo.

https://leofinance.io/@raymondspeaks/hive-and-leo-on-the-downward-spiral-what-should-i-do

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Excellent article - thanks for sharing it!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's some good stuff.

I only know the current price of the tokens because they are right there when I check my wallet. Other than that, I just don't bother checking them. I just keep on accumulating

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Good share. One HIVE still equals one HIVE and one LEO still equals one LEO.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea I am wondering what happened to those who couldn't wait. Did they actually sell out and will they regret it?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

EV Sports Vehicules?. I guess its something new but I wonder if people will really want it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

SUVs sell very good in the US. I think that could be a homerun, at least in the idea. However, the question will be availability and what the specs are.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea I am also wondering what the specs would look like for an SUV. I am just wondering if those SUV users like the sound of gas engines or not.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We should know in the next year. Elon predicts the Model Y will become the best selling vehicle in the world. That would mean around 1.5 million. So if they hit that in 2022 or 2023 (the later more likely) then we will know they dont care about noise one way or another.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Soccer moms here in the USA are big fans of SUVs. JEEPs are also popular with the millennial crowd.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't really track this crypto but the prices have certainly tanked and the issues behind the IPO seem like the retail mob got screwed.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It came on with a furry (pumped) and now dumped. Raoul Pal interviewed the founder so that could have caused a lot of the pump.

He (Pal) is still optimistic on the project though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea its the short term that has people spooked and to be labeled the worst performing crypto isn't really a good thing.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well looking at the chart, the price action was insane to start so not surprising it dropped a great deal.

Long term it probably is a good project so this is a buying opportunity for those interested. The hype caused a pump and then the expected dump.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

All I know is I am holding my LEO, CUB, and HIVE. I do not venture far from those three. I am not smart enough to mess with other stuff.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is a terrific article discussing Bitcoin and being truly censorship resistant.

It talks about governments turning and banning Bitcoin, an assumption we should deem viable.

In reading it, I was thinking about Hive. This is something that I was saying yes, it could still go on.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Just reading another post from a bitcoin minimalist...boring.

Hive has gone through the fire with the event that led to its birth. When it comes to crypto, a lot of people are ignorant of what's going on in other projects, which explains their assumption about alts which I feel are the future of crypto and not bitcoin. Bitcoin will lead the way in terms of mass adoption but alts will slowly make their way into the wallets and hands of the masses.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hive is really going to surprise a lot of people. I do not think that many who are involved realize what is going to take place. There is so much potential and a great deal of the development is going to pay off in a huge way.

It is just a matter of getting some of these things there.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is a great read indeed. He cuts through all the bullshit and goes straight to the point. Very interesting take on what it really means to be censorship resistant

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Do you agree with me that Hive already accomplished a lot of that?

We have witnesses from all over the world so if one government went after Hive, there would still be people running nodes elsewhere. Also, it is relatively easy to spin up a Hive node, a lot easier than getting a bitcoin miner.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes, I agree.
And Hive is still very young. Just imagine what it's going to be like when it gets really big! It might just become the ultimate censorship-resistant network

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The new protocol that Spknetwork is developing could be huge. That could be the proverbial game changer since much of it is utilizing Hive as a basis.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I tend to believe that it will be an uphill battle. However I am not sure about them banning BTC though. It might represent crypto but I think it just doesn't threaten their control of money (fiat or CBDC).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

He wasnt making the case they could, just that people should act like they could. To be censor resistant, there needs to be someone censoring was his point.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea but do you think censorship could happen if someone could get over 50% of the BTC available? I think it would be highly unlikely to happen though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

With Bitcoin, since it is Proof of Work, the token distribution is not as important as the mining. That is what runs the network unlike Hive where the token distribution impacts the top Witnesses.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am sticking around. HIVE is underappreciated and undervalued. Things continue to develop and amazing things are happening.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Here is another edition of our daily @leomarkettalk.

It looked like we were going to cross 300 comments yesterday. Not bad for where we have been of late.

Let us try to get things going a bit more.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Tesla is going to release a $@5K EV in 2023 or so they claim. The company is known for bringing out great prototypes yet taking years to see production. The Cybertruck and Semi are two that the world is still waiting for.

That's a very tight schedule... it's going to be very impressive if they actually make it, especially considering their track record.

Very interesting project thou.. let's see what happens

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Tight schedules are not something Musk excels at.

In fact, he has trouble reaching the loose ones.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's true... The guy's got a lot of vision but he has issues bringing them to life

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The thing about Musk is he gets there eventually. His timeline tends to be off. Unlike Google, that tends to scrap a lot of projects, Musk does get them to market.

We just have to add about 3 years to his time frames.

Debt deflation is something few talk about but it was the first leg of what took the Japanese economy down.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well it seems like Japan has an issue since the velocity of money there is kind of bad due to the saving.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Over the last 30 years, Japan has had all kinds of issues. They hit up on most of the good ones, debt deflation, bank crisis, and demographics.

All of it adds up to 30 years of economic crap.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I believe there are not many limitations to what AR is going to be able to do in the future... eventually it is going to take over most industries, if not all of them

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh!! Thanks for sharing this.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

You're very welcome, my friend.

We really like that topic around here so there's something new on VR/AR almost everyday here :)

Competition for Microsoft. This is a good thing.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Microsoft has released the first preview of Windows 11 for those who are in their Insider program. If you are one of those people you can now download it (although I don't know why someone would want that LOL! Just kidding, I just hate MS and Windows)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I did see it but I plan on waiting a while for all the bugs to get fixed before even considering it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's probably smart...

I'll try to get rid of it but first I'll have to check with Linux can run all the software I use on a regular basis

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am with you. I have messed with every single iteration of Windows since the beginning.

There are a lot of eyes on the quest for a Bitcoin ETF in the United States. Now we are seeing ARK throw its hat in the ring for a Bitcoin ETF.

The noted fund that is run by Cathie Wood is loading up on Grayscale's GBTC. So obviously they think that there is room for more.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh I just wrote a top level comment on it. I just don't see it as very likely to succeed.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It depends upon how many the SEC is going to approve. The move might be to file for an ETH or a basket ETF as opposed to Bitcoin.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh I was always pointing towards BTC as crypto in their point of view. But yea I can see them letting go of ETH and a few others.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

A lot of firms seem to be looking to jump on the crypto game. I believe one in Brazil recently announced an ETF as well

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Cramer jumping into the ETH bandwagon. Well it looks like he's following the general narrative and moving to ETH now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If you want to make money, do not listen to Cramer.

Might have better luck following Musk's tweets.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

He is a crazy man. Very entertaining to watch though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Scientists found out some evidence that makes them believe that human embryos appear to reverse their biological clock in the early stages of development.

This is still in a very early stage, but it could help them to develop treatments to age-related diseases such as arthritis or Parkinson’s.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Where do you find these interesting articles?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

My phone usually suggests them to me based on my browsing history hehehe

It's not ideal because it means they are data-mining the shit outta me, but it is what it is I guess hehe

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

At least you get content to post in here. They would be data mining you regardless so at least there is something productive out of it.

Of course, if I got my stuff that way I would be posting about big boobs.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Damn crazy women got big boobs too?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Not a requirement. Some do, some dont.

Bra size has no bearing on craziness I found.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL that's true

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am glad to hear that they have discovered and are researching this topic. I have arthritis and hope to G-D I never get Alzheimer's.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Morgan Stanley owns 28,000 shares of GBTC.

That might sound impressive but it is "only" about $1.3 million. It is a rounding error for a bank of that size.

However, if does show they are in the game, even if only dipping their toe in.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's true. Not a lot for a bank, but it's interesting to see these very traditional banks looking to see what the fuzz is all about

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Do you think it could be part of their ease into the cryptospace? They could possibly have it covered by the custodial services so its not really their money.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If that is their custodial service, that is pretty pathetic. Think about it, that could be one client.

I have a feeling they were just getting their toes wet, seeing how it all went. A bit of exposure before a bigger leap into it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Testing the waters. Must be okay with all the people jumping around in it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The Bitcoin hashrate continues to drop. This is not much of a surprise.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is going to take time for miners to establish themselves elsewhere as China is no longer conducive for bitcoin mining which has impacted the hashtags. Is there any implication in the hash rate goes below a certain number?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

impacted the hashtags

The hashtags should be afraid! 😆

Anyway, just kidding! 😅

As hash rates go down, the security of the system weakens. The possibility of a 51% attack increases with less hash rate. I dont think it is a major concern since Bitcoin is still pretty heavily mined.

You are right, there will be a burst in hash rate as the miners end up at their destinations. It will take a few weeks to move them across the world.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Wouldn't the Bitcoin community just create a hard fork when a 51% attack becomes successful? 🤔

It could. The problem is then you are dealing with a new chain. Might not make a difference to many but it could.

I dont think BTC can be 51% attacked too easily. There is still a lot of hashrate out there. As I said elsewhere, I will give it a month or so and think it will be back up again.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Having a hard fork should indeed be a last resort. 🤔 I also don't want Hive to have a hard fork, but there might come a time it needs to be done. 😮

I just saw the hashrate is still above where it was even six months ago so...no real concerns on security at this point.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well, I like the fact that bitcoin is been tested and it remains solid. Those who doubt its utility would certainly think otherwise now--i think.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Bitcoin certainly has been tested. For 12 years, everything was thrown at it and it still keeps going. So I think it will be just fine.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am sure most of these miners are switching their operations overseas. Maybe it will take them a little while to do it. Network seems unaffected due to this which is a great sign.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It will take them a few weeks to move the equipment and get it set up.

My guess is that it is a non-issue come August 1st.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, while china is cracking down on miners, Iran is looking to capitalize on this opportunity.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Terrific find.

Iran should take advantage. In fact, any country should. That is why those who see crypto as an opportunity and embrace is could see their standing in the world change.

This is a prime opportunity for some others to jump in.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Do you know if it has affected the network at all? I think I heard block rewards are kind of reworked every 2 weeks or so to adapt to how many people are mining.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I would imagine it could affect the transaction fees. It also does harm security although Bitcoin is so far ahead in terms of its number of miners, it is okay. We did not see the rate drop to 2013 levels or anything.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is okay. Texas will save BTC. Remember the Alamo!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well, while joining is free, it takes a bit of your time and effort. 🤔

Anyway, just make sure your guess for the Bitcoin price has 5 digits! 😅

Yea, but it's like 30 seconds or so. Worth it!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I just tried the game. How do I find interesting games like this on the platform?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I see quite a few of them every week and it also depends on what type of rewards you want as well. There are even a few on a daily schedule that reward you with game NFTs or just some HIVE/LEO.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'll try to remember to post the ones I know here sop you can check them out

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lol. Done. I never win free money so easily but you gotta play it to win it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Could we see a decline in robocalls?

We are seeing some new regulations that go into effect along with software that seems promising.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh, I hope so.

I get at least one of those literally every day on my work phone. That includes weekends. They are so freaking annoying

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I got like 5 this morning alone. I hope they subside but I doubt it. They always find a way around the laws.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That would be really cool..

Well I would not be surprised. I think I recall seeing a video about how mainstream phone networks were blacklisting contractors who took these shady deals if they didn't stop. But I don't think it really changed anything.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If that was the case in the past, then, no, it did nothing. As mentioned in another comment, I got 5 yesterday morning alone.

I have to go through my phone and block those numbers. Thanks for the reminder.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Even after applying DND service on my phone, I keep getting them. Even from outside the country. They suck!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Good. I am tired of getting calls on my cell phone saying that I am in trouble with the IRS, FBI, ad nauseum. Why have I not gotten a certified letter?

Plus those people that call and say my vehicle warranty is about to expire. That is my sister's truck (my name just happens to be on it)! Guess they think because I am 60+, I am gullible.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

First John McAfee and now this.

Bitcoin billionaire and blogger Mircea Popescu drowns in Costa Rica.

At the peak earlier this year in BTC price, his holding would have been worth more than $2 billion. Some believe he was, at one point, the largest holder of Bitcoin in the world.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's sad and shocking. I hope this is not because he was too loud and controversial.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I am not sure the ocean took exception to what he did online.

Of course, if he had help in meeting his demise, well that could be a different matter.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I wonder about some of these deaths..

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The tin foil hat community is gearing up on this one.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I saw the headline earlier saying that he had a lot of BTC but I had no idea he had that much! Damn

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I never followed him so I was taken aback also. It is pretty scary how quickly things can go.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Wow I am getting a little paranoid and I am wondering if we will see more of these happen.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL it certainly does give some fodder to the conspiracy types. Makes you wonder if he really drowned, at least on his own. Or did he have some help in that area?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

MI-6, CIA, or maybe MOSSAD? Ura-soul, I am sure, will have a good time with this breaking news. I am surprised he did not have any posts about McAfee's death.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Singapore is running a competition which is pretty leet. I'd love to see blocktrades enter the race.

@blocktrades must be busy hardforking Hive! 😎

But that's a cool problem to solve. How decentralization is introduced into CBDCs is the biggest question.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

He is certainly involved in that. There are other things he is working upon like the HAF (I believe that is what it is called). He expects to release that in July.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

El Salvador wants to attract Bitcoin talent and it looks like that some companies are willing to help them with their ambitious plans.

Volcano mining, crypto in space and the widespread use of the Bitcoin Lightning network sound like science fiction. But those efforts are real and “hyperbitcoinization” is a real goal. The El Salvador experiment, Mow said, will serve as a blueprint for the world.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I personally am interested whether or not volcano mining will work out or not. Also will it affect how much energy they need to cool down the computers?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes, it will, since they have a warmer climate there they can't rely on the environment as much to do the heat transfer so more energy will be demanded if compared to a colder place, like Norway for example.

I don't know how big the difference really is, though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well that is the reason for using geo-thermal energy.

Most of the energy used in mining is the cooling down process. That is what eats up a lot of high power computing. They run so hot that a fortune is spent to cool them.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's awesome. I want the El Salavador experiment to succeed and I hope it has a long-lasting positive impact on their economy.

It will inspire other countries to follow a similar path.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Of course. If it does, it lifts the lives of 6.5 million people to a much better level. Also, it provides a terrific model for others to follow.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That'd a huge milestone in the Bitcoin's history. ✌️ It was made for this purpose only.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It only makes sense that they are going to try to build things out. They need a lot of infrastructure if they are to make Bitcoin legal tender. The passing of law was the easy part; the building is much harder.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am very happy to see that the El Salvador government is so progressive. I wish them nothing but great success.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Don't forget to submit your guess to The Weekly LBI Contest!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

@chuyster this is another one of those games that we have on LeoFinance

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Done. I missed it last week.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I missed it too, but I'm in this week.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea its a great little game and I won some LBI and SPI so far from it.

More details about Ark's entry into the Bitcoin ETF world. It is lending its name to a Swiss ETF which is on a UK exchange. So it is live.

They will try to get listing in the US but that is an uphill fight.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ah ok. I thought it would be in the US but I don't see it happening given the US government and rules/regulations.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No they are applying in the US which is still in limbo with it. They did get approval from the UK. Now it is called the ARK Bitcoin ETF in the UK I guess.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Virtual real estate becoming a major thing it seems.

Decentraland plot sold for near $1 million

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't think I have heard of this before but it looks like just some digital data. I don't see how they can promote it without some major work.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is all part of the game Decentraland, a VR blockchain world developing.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hey guys , took vaccine yesterday and was sick for 24 straight hours lol .

Better now .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That doesnt sound good.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Get well soon. I was wondering where you went since you said you just finished a big project too.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, the vaccine does that to you. Feel better my friend.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am glad you are feeling better. I have had both my shots. To date I am not glowing in the dark yet (crossed fingers).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We crossed 200 comments and still 10 hours left.

Can we get over 400 today?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I see 247 total comments right now (before this one), which may include bots or duplicate comments. 🤔😅

That is the total count. I am not sure we get that many duplicates.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think there may be quite a few similar ones but not many duplicates.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well possible but I am not sure if I will be able to come back till the end of the day.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Seems like you might get the fill in duty.

I have some time so I will keep adding.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Fill in duty in the works right now. I think we can reach that 400 goal.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Just like the early Internet days, some celebrities start flocking in.

Tom Brady takes equity stake in exchange FTX.

image.png

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh that could good for exposure at least, as both of them are giants in their industries.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Why were you looking at her chest when you wrote the word "giants"?

Or perhaps that was me.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL
sweet, sweet Giselle

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah. Hard to argue that one.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Damn, big boobs again ????? (LOL)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah they keep showing up.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

One thing about celebrities is they bring attention. We still live in a world where we esteem these people.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I think it will be good publicity but the entire thing about how the centralized exchanges will work with the incoming regulations is still a bit unclear.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

They will adapt. The bigger question is how long until DeFi and by extension, the decentralized exchanges start to overwhelmed the centralized ones?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think it will be at least a decade or so before it happens. The change will probably naturally happen after people get sick of the control CEX have.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh wife does too.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hope FTX does not deflate. See what I did there?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We were talking in a comment thread about the long term prospects of Gold. Here is a definite headwind if it continues.

Gold is very popular in India. It seems to be losing its luster with younger Indians.

Big ramifications could take place over the next 20 years as this segment of the population grows in wealth and power.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I agree with what you said in the other comment. I think gold's years are numbered now

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah a couple decades and the demographics will be too overbearing.

That is unless technology gets there first, then we might see it happen sooner.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well with the change in how they are moving into crypto, I am not surprised. Do you know how their stock market investments are going?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I dont follow the Indian stock market so I have no idea.

That might be a question to ask the Indians in here. Do they own stocks or strictly crypto?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am into stocks.

They are very lucrative if we know which company to invest into properly.

But not a huge population here is into stocks.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I guess this is a question for @amr008 or @finguru.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am not into stocks at all but my wife is. Completely into crypto.

I have a local society whatsapp group for traders where you will find all sorts of mixes. People discuss stocks, crypto, and other financial opportunities which they try.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Around 50% of India's population is below the age of 25 years. That's a huge chunk. Our unemployment is continuously shooting up, thanks to the failed governance and the pandemic. Everyone is looking for alternative options to make money. Crypto is gaining popularity because young people get it. It's volatile hence quite exciting as well.

Gold is considered a long-term investment in India. It is also popular because of its cultural & heritage value.

No surprise that it is losing its touch among young Indians and slowly its craze will fade away.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lawns are a stupid thing when you think about it. They are remnants from the old symbols of wealth hundreds of years ago in Europe where the palaces and mansions had majestic lawns that were tended to by hundreds of people (no power lawn mowers). We replicate it.

Perhaps lawns are not the best thing for the environment

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's interesting. I have a friend who lives in a neighborhood where it's mandatory to maintain a lawn. You can get fined if you don't.

It's a huge waste of water and money

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is the norm in the US too. If yards are not taken care of, either the homeowners association or the city will find you.

It might change if more articles like that emerge. The reality is that wildlife needs cover. Nothing other than insect can life in a well maintain lawn. Get some brush going and small critters have a place to go.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I have read some articles about people getting in trouble for growing vegetables instead of having a lawn. Shit is outrageous.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I have been hearing more about artificial grass instead. By doing so, you don't really need to maintain it and yes its annoying to maintain.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Still having problems retrieving the data .

Will fix it tonight .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Who broke it?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think the hard fork broke it. A lot of things probably changed and you need to adapt to the changes

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Sometimes we have to wait on others to accomplish our tasks. It is what it is.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Are the hard fork issues ironed out so its just you needing to update the code?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ah I updated the code as soon as I heard the nodes are being updated .

The trouble is on their side right now and nothing can be done from my side except to change nodes frequently and see which is the best.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Here is how open source could change the world for millions.

Biohackers are working on breaking Big Pharma's monopoly on insulin. They are working on an open source solution that could reduce the cost of insulin by 98%.

I love seeing this type of stuff. Breaking the monopoly on the equipment needed could be a big step forward.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Fantastic! Thankfully I am not diabetic but I feel bad for those that suffer with the disease. As I understand it, the medicine is not cheap.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Wow, that can be huge! I know a lot of people who need daily insulin shots and that could really make life a lot easier on them.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Without a doubt. Big Pharma is extremely dangerous. It kills a ton of people each year. Amazing people are suddenly trusting them so much.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is great but those big pharma's won't really take this backing down. I wish those who rely on insulin get those cheap prices.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Facebook now worth a trillion dollars

Not sure this is a positive development but it is what it is as they say. Hopefully we can start to chip into that company's domination.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I saw that article earlier during the day but yea I don't think we can really make anything out of it. But I guess its a milestone since they are part of the trillion dollar club now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

A very good video on some of the impacts of population decline. It is very interesting how this is becoming a popular topic after being overlooked for so long.

It is amazing how the mantra and indoctrination can take hold of people. Since the 1970s we heard about the horrors of over population all the while the planet was setting up for a massive shift into implosion.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea there are advantages and disadvantages to everything. It seems bleak for the rich countries.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Here is a very interesting outlook among young people in China. They invented an approach called "Lying Flat". It is a form of opting out of the rat race if you will.

Very insightful video.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is no surprise at the government's reaction. The Communist party send the usual attack dogs out.

Watching this video, it could have been talking about the US government and media.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well obviously they would not want that. They want the economy running so they get more money out of the low cheap labor costs.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I think its quite smart given how hard it is to make enough money. But I think it would do better to save some more money for the future.
