Am I the only one who has noticed that the spelling on "Withdraw" on the button for withdrawing SWAP.HIVE using LeoDex is incorrect? 🤔😅
Haha. I always see it and ignore. But yeah, somebody should tell them to fix it. 😂

I don't know who exactly is the "them" you are referring to. 😅
'Them' = 'Leo Finance Team' 😋

Based on the other replies on my comment, that issue has already been reported some time ago, especially on Discord. 🤔
The fix is as simple as finding "Wtihdraw", then swapping the positions of the 't' and 'i' characters. 😅
So bad...
I've seen it raised in the Discord, so the dev team definitely knows about it.
Honestly, it needs to be prioritised.

I think we talked about atomic clocks here before. They are precise as fuck and for that reason they can revolutionize space travel. It turns out that a very precise clock is really important to calculate a ship's position.
The clocks we have today can take hours to determine a ship's position with good precision but this new generation could improve this to the point that self-driving spaceships and GPS on other planets can be a thing in the future.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I used a great many different types of navigational tools while in the service. Lensatic (magnetic) and gyro compasses, Position Location and Reporting System (PLARS), hyperbolic radio navigation system (LORAN-C), and finally Global Positioning System (GPS) when it first came out.
Navigational tools have really evolved over the past few decades and show no signs of slowing down evidently.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks for sharing your experience, Sarge! Some of those I didn't even know about
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Do you think we will get to other planets?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Of course we will. In fact, we already have. Elon is on one right now. And don't get me started on the politicians....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah, I think so. It's gonna take a while but I think we will eventually start to expand to other planets
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think..
Well if I had to say yes or no, I would probably say yes. There is just so much unknown but its more than likely that there is something out there we can land on.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Are you sure we won't just make beacon satellites in the middle of space so we can always know where we are at (similar to GPS)?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Space buoys. That is a novel concept.
Red right returning. Boating enthusiasts like myself will get the reference.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
A few years ago I heard about a project which will utilize quasars for setting up a galactic positioning system that would work similar to GPS. I forget what program I was watching when I heard that.
Quasars are so regular they make atomic clocks look like sundials.

At least one member of Congress isnt a total dipshit.
Of course, it is a Senator from Wyoming who says Americans need to secure their future with Bitcoin.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I might have to move there. I visited Yellowstone during the pandemic last summer and as desolate as the country is, it's beautiful. Seems like a very good place to sit on a computer and get rich. :-)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Could be although I heard most of the state is a crap hole. Outside of Jackson Hole which is very costly and touristy, it is sparsely populated and a bit backwards.
Watch the spread of Bitcoin adoption; that might be our ticket. We can get like 5,000 Americans together and head to one of these countries. Get our Starlink systems going and earn money while living on the cheap.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Better yet, we'll tokenize our community. You'll need to buy whatever we call it in order to live there. We'll pay our residents and civic officials in that token and soft cap it. Potential residents will have to buy in to the token in order to live there.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I wonder when we can see Congressmen from Texas or Miami saying something similar. Since those are the other two hubs asking for BTC adoption/mining.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am sure we will. I dont think it is really dependent upon state. Stupidity knows now boundaries especially geographic.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You know, I've wondered, why Wyoming? Maybe it's that independent, pioneering spirit of living in a sparsely populated state. Either way, I'm glad to see them setting an example for others to follow.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That or perhaps just the fact they see a chance really to move up on the scale. It is an opportunity to bring business into the state.
It is the same logic El Salvador is applying.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Exactly.
Not only that, it's another way for Wyoming to remind the rest of the nation-- and the rest of th world-- that Wyoming has a business-friendly environment. That's an underrated factor.
Wyoming is friendlier to cryptocurrency than New York (State and City) and California. That's its USP.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I guess at least one Congressman sees the writing on the wall when it comes to the changing financial landscape.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am not so sure. I think it is a matter of we are Congress, so anything before us we have to regulate and control.

While they're just using it to crowdsource content ideas, there are obviously more important reasons that this could be used.

This is great news for the crypto sphere. thinks are actually looking good irrespective of the price fluctuation. I believe we will see more companies and banks follow in the steps on NCR. It is the smart thing to do.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's a huge step forward. 2021 seems like a great year for crypto. So many users are entering the space everyday and it just doesn't seem to stop anytime soon.
These banks however will charge hefty fees from customers to buy, manage and hold their crypto in cold wallets. Just like crypto exchanges do. Hopefully this will allow investors to explore other opportunities which are better and decentralised.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think it is only a matter of time before people begin to explore decentralised options. these centralised institutions and companies cannot be the gatekeeper of crypto. They can only try.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
If it comes to my little bank, then It'll really be a sign of crypto going mainstream. These guys didn't even know what their SWIFT number was when I needed it to go to Germany in 2017! I had to get their info from another bank. :)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I remember a couple of years ago talking to my bank's manager about cryptocurrency. He said that BTC is money out of nothing. I replied, And the US dollar is different in this regard how?
I should ask to see him when I next have reason to visit my bank and ask What are your views on cryptocurrency now?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It is a major step forward. We are seeing the banks getting their hands into it which isnt surprising. However, it does open the door for more wallets and people involved.
Onboarding into the industry is what is important. Then we can start to lure them elsewhere (like to Hive).
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Two quotes from the article:
and
The supply keeps dwindling. I wonder what the price has to get to before these giant banks can't manipulate it. The problem is they are "too big to fail". The Fed will back them up by printing more money which will allow them to keep shorting and manipulating the price. It would not surprise me in the least if we learn at some point that 90% of all Bitcoin in existence is held in cold-storage somewhere. If banks are forced to cover and deliver actual bitcoin to people, they could truly collapse.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea I am surprised but I am wondering more about the big banks since they tend to be the ones with most of the wealth.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think that will be great, will have to keep an eye open for my bank to see if they will do crypto currency.

Will your voting habits change because of the hard fork? I don't think I will change mine but I think I might have to revisit the auto-voters that were triggered.
https://leofinance.io/@edicted/old-habits-die-hard
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
No but then I am here each day manually voting.
I will be moving some HP around to try and get my comment votes in HP above dust. That should give you guys some more HP in author rewards. It wont be a ton but every little bit helps.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
No changes for me. I have the auto upvoter on just in case I am not around. Otherwise it's all manual. ✌️
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I have never understood the way voting was set up. When I first started it favored the bots. There was such a thing as trying to outrun the bots. It was all so stupid.
Hopefully the changes to rewards distribution will make things better. The system will still be gamed but that is true anywhere.
I like the way Leo Finance is set up. Day 1 to Day 7, does not make a difference. Portion of curation rewards received is stake-based. KISS principle and being simple-minded, it is my preference.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea I prefer if the window was the same no matter when you vote. Maybe they will change it after more people get on board with the linear votes.

This is interesting. Hour One and Berlitz signed a deal to scale Berlitz's training programs without hiring human teachers. That initally suprised me, then I realized Steve had it setup as a cult. I love them, but looks like they have to keep them near as they don't have Steve around using his "Reality Distortion Field" anymore.

I should know. I was watching a "Stevenote" once and must have lost track of time. Next thing you know, I snapped out of it and somehow had tried to load the Apple Store page, in order to buy the new product, without realizing it. He must have had the RDF set to stun that day! :)

No surprise since Cook himself said it didnt sound or feel like an office. He is doing this because he is lonely.
Apple will likely experience a brain drain over this long term. It is going to happen. People are going to see the lifestyles others can build. Wait until those videos hit YouTube. Some developer in Silicon Valley leaves a work in the office company for one that is work from anywhere and sets up a life by a lake in the middle of the woods and works there while having minimal expenses.

The HF gave confidence to many I suppose
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The fact it went off without a hitch is something that has to give people more confidence. The core development team is far ahead of the last group (perhaps it was a leadership issue).
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think it was going up in price before that since HBD pumped beforehand. Afterwards, HBD went back down but HIVE stayed up.

That's great news. While I'm here, is anyone else having problems logging into LeoFinance as I am?
When I enter my information, it hangs at a blank page with "entry token" (or something like that) followed by a long string of numbers in the URL address.
It never let's me in, and the only way I was finally able to even leave these comments, was I had to open up a new tab and type my profile addy in, then it would let me login. But never from the main page.
Maybe it's a bug from the recent HF.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I see . Haven't seen that , try to take a pic next time and post it here . I will take a look at it .
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ok. Just now, here's me logging into leofinance:
Next, the screen blinks and then moves to the logging in screen.
I call this the "access_token" screen as that's what is showing in the URL bar.
It just sits there. I can wait an hour and nothing happens for it to transition to the next screen.
Just below, is the actual URL. Maybe this is where the problem is?:
https://leofinance.io/callback/hivesigner?state=%257B%2522lastPath%2522%253A%2522%252F%2522%257D&access_token=eyJzaWduZWRfbWVzc2FnZSI6eyJ0eXBlIjoicG9zdGluZyIsImFwcCI6Imxlb2ZpbmFuY2UifSwiYXV0aG9ycyI6WyJldmVybm90aWNlLmxlbyJdLCJ0aW1lc3RhbXAiOjE2MjUxNDcyNzIsInNpZ25hdHVyZXMiOlsiMjAxNjk3NGQyMGI5NWY0NWE3OTNkOGZkZmE1ZWIzM2MwNzlhMjc5YjM0ZGNmMTgyZTFmYjA3ZDA0MjBhZTkzMTMzMzY0NTY4ZjZmNzA3ODUxNDNjNmE4NzJlN2ZhNmUzYWNkMmNkNzI1ODI1NGEzN2ViMzFjOWM5MmI5MGY0OTA2NCJdfQ..&expires_in=604800&username=evernotice.leo
Then I have to open a new tab in order to be logged in
(never had to do this before the HF)
it automatically loaded the screen:
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oh okay this looks like an issue on LeoFinance side .
After they get the access ( posting key access ) to the account , they aren't redirectly it properly I feel . I will try to login with HiveSigner later on myself and see if it gives me the same problem .
But just out of curiosity , why aren't you using KeyChain ? It is very simple and far more easier than HiveSigner . Any particular reason ?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Possibly because it was offered first and doesn't use the Chrome web Store. At the time the site mentioning it used PeakD which requires your active key, which we new people back then were told not to give out. So some veterans in help, told me to use Hivesigner to avoid having to give PeakD my active key.
I was astounded that you couldn't login using your posting key, so I never use PeakD.
I'm also leery about something like keychain, "holding" my keys as Sam Stonehill got hacked when I first joind Steemit, so I try to be careful.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Looks like I also can't do anything related to using my active key as it needs me to press the "import account" button, which doesn't show up as the screen never transitions, even when I open a new tab. This is becoming a real headache.
Might be time to consider switching to keychain.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I havent had any problems but I use Keychain. Been flawless through the hard fork.

I heard this one taking off today. I was too lazy to go out and look. Of course, with SpaceX sending stuff up, a rocket launch is getting to be likes living near an airport.
Anyway Spacex did a ridesharing, bring 3 satellites up for Starlink as well as commercial traffic for a couple of entities.
This is a smart way of doing it. Let them pay you to launch their stuff and then put a few of your own satellites on it. As long as the rocket is going up anyway, might as well.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
space x securing the bags. Plus more companies can get their satellites to space at a cheaper rate which seems like a good deal.
I like the idea of reusing parts of the rocket for future launches. This saves cost
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's smart money-wise. Get paid for what you are already doing just like the companies getting paid using government funded money for things that benefit them.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well SpaceX is getting a lot of government money so we dont have to worry about them on that part.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Very smart on SpaceX's part. I wonder how long it will take before organized crime gets their own spaceships and starts pirating cargo heading for space?
Oh, it will happen. Maybe not in my lifetime.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
A little HTML Magic. I will show you the secret with this code...
<div class="pull-right">
PLACE THE LINK TO YOUR IMAGE HERE
</div>
There you have it! Easy Peasy!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ah, the "pull-right" class.
When I first started posting I was looking for the CSS file which contained all the classes for various formatting effects. I think I found it, but when I took a peek at the file it looked like gibberish resulting from size reduction. At that point I gave up on using CSS here.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Some HTML works and some does not. Also formatting is displayed differently depending on which website a person is using to interface with HIVE.
When posting I pretty much use HTML exclusively and when commenting I use markdown with a little HTML mixed in like the example above.
One really can not use CSS formatting unless they are very seasoned with the base HIVE code. LEOFINANCE.IO is a great blogging platform, but WORDPRESS it is not.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Got it. What you explained makes sense.
I know that CSS can't be added as inline styles (i.e., style="..."), so that pretty much kills it for me right there.
I'm getting better at Markdown and taking it as far as I can before I have to switch to HTML. Markdown tables break after 5 columns, so HTML tables are needed here. I'm still in the process of finding limitations of both Markdown and HTML for Hive posts, so it will be a while before I write a post about my findings.
As for Hive not being WordPress, that's so true! LOL!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I agree with that. I support them although I would like to see Leofinance embrace some of what Coingecko offers.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Will an African nation be the next to embrace Bitcoin?
We could end up seeing this spread like wildfire. While countries like the US screw around with regulation, smaller countries will embrace the new technology and financial system, which will end up crushing the larger ones.
This could be a major turning point.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Totally agree. You know where this really gets interesting? If enough of these countries make Bitcoin legal tender, then it is no longer property. It is a currency and the whole tax thing gets spun on its head. If that happens, the bullishness may know no bounds.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well it is legal tender in those countries. The developed countries could still consider it property which makes it difficult. One thing I count on politicians is to be too late to the party. So if this does happen, the fools in Congress will be years behind.
Oh wait, they will have their CBDC.
We just need to keep spreading thing.
Oh one other idea: adding to my idea of globalizing real estate: they other countries might end up being destinations for many of us Americans who get fed up with the bullshit.

If that happens, on a population of 140 million, you are looking at an estimated 8% loss in 14 years.

Well its the problem with technology and the economy. With technology, people are no longer focused as much on building a family and the economy doesn't feel safe for those people to build a family.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Too many people, not enough people. Guess every country is trying to find a happy medium.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This is not good for global commodity prices.
Corn, sugarcane, and coffee all affected by the cold in South America.

Losses might exceed 60% this year after a late planting season due to the cold is now being matched by an earlier frost.

The weather has been so crazy here in Pennsylvania, I did not do any gardening this year.

Guess I am going to look for Ethiopian coffee as it will be cheaper, hopefully.

Isn't that good for prices? Less supply and same demand = higher prices

Dunkin' Donuts coffee and Tim Horton's coffee begins to look more appealing in comparison to the alternatives (including Starbucks).
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Lol I guess it would depending on what you want. Are you planning on buying those stocks?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'll stick with crypto-- easier to get into than stocks.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Good for prices if you are selling. But if you are buying coffee, it will mean an increase.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea I was considering things in the view of prices on the stock market. So a hit there would probably mean the futures will go up.

The automation of China's construction industry is underway. This is great news for the move forward. They are using all kinds of robotic heavy equipment.
The US sure could use that. It is still stuck in the "we need to create jobs" mindset. That is why the construction industry has lagged for the past 80 years.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This is their mindset:

Sounds like a man who understands that employees are annoying. Will this be the replacement for the energy used for BTC mining since they are kicking them out of the country?

Musk's Boring company proposes a new loop for Fort Lauderdale.
That will be interesting. The traffic in S. Florida really sucks. However, drilling in Florida could be tough since we are mostly sand. It will be interesting if this goes anywhere.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The problem I see is that the loop in Nevada isn't even in commercial use yet right? I don't know if starting it up early is a good choice.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am not sure how it is going to work. I think it is open but at what stage of being open I dont know.
And does it involve the hyperloop or is he just drilling tunnels?
I dont follow it close enough to know what they are up to.

I haven't heard much news about it. If there was any, I bet Elon or someone would be writing things up. I am just not sure how hard it is either.

When I saw your linked headline, I thought it was saying that one of Elon's company's would make people yawn! 🤣

A Tesla Model S plaid caught fire under strange circumstances
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
One flaw electric cars have which doesn't afflict internal combustion-powered vehicles. To get a gas-fueled car to catch fire you have to light a match (or detonate a bomb as in Scarface (1983)).
I'm not against electric vehicles, but I'm not convinced they are ready for mass usage. Compelling the public to use them won't get them any sooner to being ready for mass usage, either.

The Pintos liked to blow up when someone ran into them.
No match required.

That's right!! I had totally forgotten about the Ford Pintos.
Ford Pintos caught fire when someone crashed into them, and the prototype driverless cars crash into people. Both were head scratchers.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I wonder if its due to the battery like the article suggests.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Good be. There have been cases of cell phones blowing up. Might be along the same lines but on a bigger scale.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
There are dangers with any vehicles. I once slipped off my bicycle seat and smashed my cajones on the bar. I think I would have rather been blown up in a car at the time!

Over 200 comments now, about the place we were at yesterday at this time when we hit near the 450 level.
Perhaps we can have a bigger push the last 8 hours today and get to 500.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I don't know if we can push 500 but we are above 250 now.

This is terrific. Individual employees are making themselves heard.
The Great Resignation is taking place. We are seeing people quite their jobs in large numbers as they are being forced back into the office.
This does not bode well for commercial real estate.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well commercial real estate wasn't doing well after the lockdown. A bunch of people had to review whether or not they needed the building and I think the move is more towards a smaller office space.

Check this out guys .
https://leofinance.io/hive-167922/@onealfa/i-just-made-my-voting-power-140x-times-stronger-and-20x
This is one of the major benefits of HF25.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea I saw that last night. It's great for the entire community that people are now getting HIVE for their efforts.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
some major benefits of the flat curation reward thing?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
If you vote on things worth less HIVE, you won't lose some due to the requiring X amount of HIVE otherwise your rewards drop proportionally. And if something is worth too much already, voting on it reduces your rewards before the fork.
Either way I think the flat curation reward thing is better.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Check the comment I left for you. It did give me an idea. I just need to know how much to transfer.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Here is the comment in case you miss it.
@amr008
Can you run the numbers on my HP in the @taskmaster4450le account and determine how much more HP needs to be added to get my 4% upvote above dust?
Thanks in advance.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hey task , right now your vote is worth ( at 4% ) is exactly 0.01$ .
The dust is 0.02$ so you need to double your HP .
I suggest 31k HP atleast actually since the upvote value changes depending on the price of Hive .
So to sum it up you have 14.8K HP in your @taskmaster4450le account and to prevent dust from now on you have to increase your HP to atleast 31k HP .
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks my friend. I will increase that up. Now I can move the HP over to get it above 31K.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Awesome. This is great.
Hive will be distributed much better now right ?
I will make a post about curation rewards after 2 weeks comparing with older system.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes it will. Each upvote that I was giving on a comment, while carrying some Leo pop, was under the dust level for HP. So it ended up being dusted. Now, the upvotes will get both author and myself some Hive rewards. I think comments default to HP and HBD. So it will help people to get some HBD.
The vote value isnt going to be a ton but it will help out and over time, and with the number of votes, it will add up for some of the regular commenters.
Just moved 20K over, that should be enough HP to get my above the dusting level.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
One of the reasons that I only have one account that I use. If I had a larger amount of HP I would have done what many have and have accounts specific to Tribes. Just easier for me to have just one account to keep up with.
I do have a couple of alt-accounts, but I never use them.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Onealfa is a peach. His account name is synonymous with Good Whale in my opinion. Taskmaster as well, but I state the obvious.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
We had a hard fork and the Leofinance witness server appears to be back online.
The voting dropped off and people pulled their votes as the dedication to that backed off. We need to start to promote it again.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I literally unvoted for this witness today because it said inactive for 2 months, and it was still running old software, so I figured they must have abandoned it. Is this not the case? I do see it is running now.
It was behind for the longest of time. There was a problem with the server they were on. It appears the made the change of switching to a new server with the hard fork and using the new software.
It looks like it is back online and up to date.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am glad I saw this comment then, I have restored my vote for the @leofinance witness then. I just don't want to be voting for outdated or discontinued witnesses. There are some of those top witnesses that literally say they had resigned, and are still getting a ton of votes. When are governance votes supposed to expire now? A year from now or- and does this open up greater risk of hostile takeover if the community cannot rally together to vote? As if that would happen, but just asking. I think we proved last year that the community can Work together.
I understand. Since I watched the AMAs I knew they didnt abandon it, just there were server issues and developers working on the different projects. I am glad the HF made it a priority.
The vote expiration is one year from today. But that applies to the voters, not the ones who are voted upon. If the top ones said they resigned, we need to spread the word. Get people to pull their votes.
I am not sure what you mean by the community not rallying a vote in a hostile takeover. Please elaborate.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
What I meant is that before Hive was created, the community had rallied enough users to try and vote our witnesses back in. I am very interested in what each of our witnesses vision is, however I also understand not all witnesses want the attention either.
It is important for users to do their own research and to support witnesses that they do agree with. I believe that 'decentralization' and 'censorship-resistance' are two of the important things we all do agree on. I like certain discussions about how this is an exercise in true freedom, or direct democracy, although it is more of a self organizing meritocracy and a decentralized autonomous community.
A year from now it will be up to us all to get users excited about voting for witnesses, this is such an exciting thing we are part of and users should spend some time this year thinking about the witnesses they vote for. I am grateful to everyone who is helping to create this data layer and keep it running so smoothly, and for everyone who is creating and curating content also.
What is the Hive philosophy? Each of us write our own piece of it, and it is an evolving conversation.
Ah okay. I get what you are saying now.
I agree. It is something that we are going to have to keep bringing to the forefront of discussion, especially if there are a large number of "dead votes" for witnesses. That could radically change the top 20.
If there are those who are "leaving" then we need to spread that word around too. No reason to keep voting for people who arent dedicated to the community.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Why do you think that the voting numbers have dropped off?
If there's one community that's actually working for the benefit of Hive, it's LeoFinance...
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Simply because the price feed wasnt updated in two months so it was basically abandoned for that time. They never fixed what was wrong with the server.
Now they are back to being online maybe their "standing" within the community will start to move back up.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ah shit, that's not ideal...
Yep, good to hear that they've sorted that issue out and we're back up.
The team has too many fingers in too many pies...
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah well that is what happens for a while. It seems they are going a thousand directions at once yet then, one day, it all comes together.
Nothing wrong with that. I prefer that than what many are doing. Just keep scratching things off the to do list.
This was a big one hanging out there.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea I remember the price feed being a huge issue by a lot of people. Maybe Khal needs a guy whose focus should be on the witness then other work if nothing is wrong.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I do think it should be higher but it does seem like it tends to be a side-project. The AMA kind of told me that there were some broken scripts.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah I heard that from another developer too . It's a shame . We are so close , I hope they take it seriously and focus on it for a while .
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The vote time decay will help. I am sure that a lot of votes for the Top 20 were placed years ago with no change. A year from now, they will not be of impact.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah we should . Last week I thought of posting but decided not to just for this particular reason . Now there is nothing wrong so we shall start promoting it again .
The governance vote changes in the HF25 makes a lot of difference isn't it ?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
They are still on my list of witnesses. I was a bit perturbed with their performance though. I gave them the benefit of the doubt though as they have so many pans in the fire.
Keeping a current price feed is very important when I choose witnesses. I really need to review my witnesses since you brought up the topic.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Think this anti-aging stuff is a joke? The US military is taking it seriously.
They will test an anti-aging pill next year to see how it improves the troops and can benefit them long term.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well... how can you tell whether or not the pill works?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The experiment is based on maintaining optimal NAD+ levels so I believe they are going to use that as a metric to evaluate the success of the pill.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am sure they have all kinds of metrics they will use. For example, biological age is something they can chart. Trust me, whatever is out there in the commercial world, the military is 10 steps ahead.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Heh, looks like we'll have pills for just about anything soon
This is an interesting experiment and I'm curious to see where it goes
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I would go back in to get the pill, but at 60 years old (mandatory retirement age for high ranking enlisted men) I am a little too long in the tooth!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
We mentioned this the other day but here are some more indepth details.
An autonomous operated excavator that can run for 24 hours without human intervention. Something like this could radically change the construction industry.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Of course they mention the shortage of operators in the future due to the expected increase in demand. The same ole bs.
If this works, it will replace the human operators to a large degree. Companies are not going to pay people to run these machines when they can opt for the ones that run themselves.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
And its the downward trend of people who specialize in things that can be automated. This makes me wonder if even coding, trading and even these posts will all be machine generated in the future.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Trading already is automated. The only problem it is in the hands of the major institutions. I would love for someone to develop an autotrader that is tokenized and we all could be stakeholders in.
As for the rest, yes I think so. Watch GPT-3 by OpenAI (Microsoft). As that progresses further, I would imagine it will be possible to do posts.
Hell AI already writes a lot of the news articles now. They are only edited by humans.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It looks like it needs to be tested and I wonder how much the actual machine will cost. I think those big companies wouldn't mind it since it would save a lot of time and labor.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Whatever it is today, I can guarantee it will be less in the future. That is what tends to happen with software.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's incredible the amount of progress we're seeing now. Things are moving very fast
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It really is. There is little way to truly judge the pace of AI. Even if it isnt truly intelligent, it is making a great deal of progress. We might end up with what I call "pseudo Ai": put enough algorithms out there doing their narrow things and we will effectively have an AI world.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Everything is getting automated it seems.

In looking over the witness list, there are a number of witnesses who have their interest rate on HBD set at 10%. The medium is still 7%. There is even one at 12% and one at 15%.
I have a feeling it is going to head up over time. I wouldnt be surprised if a majority move it to 10% this month.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think most of them are motivated to make sure that HBD is pegged. In fact, I think most of the major stake holders who probably know the top witnesses probably want that to happen. If it helps, I don't see why they would refuse.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am not sure how much the interest rate will help with the peg but if it pulls HBD off the market into savings, it cant hurt.
I think the potential for it as a stablecoin is massive. We simple need to start framing it properly.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Now if we could just get the South Koreans to put it in their savings that would be great! They are the biggest speculators but then again I am not sure how many actually have a HIVE account.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well since they all have Steem accounts I would say they do. However, they are not really tied to Hive. So I think they just play the speculation game.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Agreed. It probably needs to be a minimum of 10%. There are quite a few defi projects with stablecoin pairs paying upwards of 20-30%. This is obviously not a defi project, but still, if the goal is to make it competitive and have people accumulate HBD for use in the ecosystem, then it will probably have to go up.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think a quick 10% makes sense and then sit for a couple months to see how HBD responds and how much gets locked up.
Then, maybe Sept 1, they can look to add another 5% to it if needed.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
But how much HBD do we need locked up for them to feel safe about it? Also it only takes 3 days to take it out so it could be removed if some FUD happens.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea, I think 10% is around the corner and perhaps even more in the future
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think it is better if HBD earns interest even when it is not put in savings. 🤔
Better than a bank that is for sure. I have my little bit of HBD in savings. That is where I will be putting it from now on.

This time it is Sono from Germany. But wait I thought it was the legacy automakers. Scratch that, it was the Chinese.
And yet Tesla is likely to report another record quarter. They keep selling all they can produce.

Virgin Orbit launches first commercial payloads to space. Mission was a success so Virgin Orbit could be a viable option for a niche of customers that are too small for SpaceX to handle.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think they are targeting different markets. Virgin's space stuff confuses me. Branson seems all over the place with it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea, it looks like they are going for smaller fish. At least for now
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
For me, I think Branson just wants to be the person in space. So I think he is more of a figurehead but I wonder why Cathy and Branson dumped a ton of stock a few months ago.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
They dumped it hard. I never heard a word out of either of them as to why. Branson might have wanted to move onto different things. But Wood?
I have no idea.

A decent look at Bitcoin Mining v Energy Usage:
https://www.publish0x.com/cryptowise/bitcoin-mining-and-energy-issue-reality-or-fudupdated-xqmolxn
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I do not know why everyone is getting upset about energy usage as far as BTC is concerned. Microwave cookers in houses use a bunch of energy, maybe we should ban them. That is just one example.
I use nothing but LED lighting. It saves me a great deal on my electric bill. I do not own a microwave. I stack cook also and very seldom use my oven but a small toaster oven to cook.
I am all for renewables, but they have their downside as well. In this entire topic of discussion what is needed is level heads and not extremism.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I agree. Extremism has no place in this discussion. With level heads maybe someday a practical renewable source of energy will be found.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
TLDR...either way I think the argument kind of falls flat on FUD using energy. Over time it will naturally become more renewable but if we changed it right away, a lot of people would die to the shortage of energy.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
People do not realize how much energy the world requires, dense energy. Renewable simply does not provide the energy density that is needed at the moment. This is going to cause major problems.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea people severely underestimate how much energy people need to survive. I saw an article about NYC telling people to save energy while time square had all its lights on.
