Hello there! Dear friends, in today's post I will talk about foods that increase the energy level of the body.
As you know, cold weather brings us a bad mood. The best foods you can assimilate to improve your mood are those that stabilize blood sugar levels and stimulate serotonin levels in the body.
Hydration is a key factor in maintaining an optimal energy level. Since water represents almost 70% of the body's component, proper hydration is essential for organs to function properly.
For an increased level of energy, nutrition plays a very important role. At the same time, do not forget about rest and relaxation.
Salmon
Fatty fish is rich in Omega-3, which prevents depression. It also protects the heart, which is why it is advisable to consume it mostly during the cold season.
Caju, almonds, peanuts
Magnesium is vital for a good functioning of the body and that's because it is present in every cell. Walnuts and almonds are rich in magnesium, but they are also an important source of healthy fats and proteins.
Bananas
Because they contain sugars (glucose, fructose and sucrose) and fibers, bananas are a food that provides energy.
Eggs
Egg yolk is rich in the complex of vitamins B and vitamin D, which maintains strong bones. Moreover, yolk is one of the best sources of protein.
Whole grains
These are indicated at every breakfast because they have a high amount of vitamin B. This vitamin is known for its power to stimulate body functions and produce energy.
Chia seeds
These seeds are popular for a well established reason - they are rich in healthy fibers and fats for the body and help digestion.
Yogurt
Yogurt, kefir or milk can help improve metabolism and protects the health of the intestines.
Beans and lentils
Beans and lintils are recommended in any diet to ensure an optimal level of energy.
Dark chocolate
If you want to eat chocolate to get more energy, you have to choose those assortments that have a high percentage of cocoa. This type of chocolate also contains caffeine, which energizes the human body much faster.
Spinach
Iron helps spread oxygen within the body, helping organs function in normal parameters. Thus, if there is not enough iron in the body, cells are not sufficiently oxygenated. Spinach is recognized as an important source of iron and should be included in the diet as often as possible.
These foods are very important if we want to have energy for the whole day. In order not to feel tired during the day, it's good not to jump over the main meals. By eating regularly, the body constantly maintains the level of sugar in the body and helps to achieve a high level of energy.

I've recently changed day to day diet, and this is something that i have noticed after eating. Instead of having a down mood , im just regular , ready to hit the road.
There are many tasty other options we can consider instead of processed products and eating meat so many times.
Indeed, we have to give up the processed foods. I start my day with smoothies and I feel really good. At lunch and dinner I eat soups/fish with vegetables/salads. I try to eat few sweets but it's hard :D
I'm all about the food/mood connection, and staying hydrated. I think some people get dehydrated in the winter because the heat goes on and is drying, also they don't feel hot and thirsty as in the winter. It's always important to drink a lot of water!
I often drink water. In winter I like to drink fruit tea with honey and lemon. Thank you, I really appreciate you comment!
Nice! For the fruit tea, you put fruit in hot water? I love fresh lemon + honey tea :)
I put the dried fruits in 200 ml of warm water, then let them infused for 4-5 minutes and then remove the fruits. It's so tasty.
Ooo dried fruits! I'm so trying that, thank you!
Great suggestions..I usually strive to eat most of those...only maybe I should introduce chia seeds...but yeah, this is good time of the year for cleansing your body after meat marathone during these holidays..emphasize on vitamins D and iron
Hey,
I'm glad you liked my post.
On holidays I ate a lot of meat and now I try to consume as much fruit and vegetables as possible to detoxify the body.
Thank you for stopping by.
I feel you on the detox! I ate lots of cookies during the holidays, they were gluten free with coconut sugar, but still!! I just wrote a post about a deep gut detox I did last year, it was incredible!
I'm checking your blog now, I'm really curious about what you wrote ;)
Thanks, I hope it's informative. Happy to answer any questions about the detox.
I have another diet. Maybe in the future I will try your recomandations.
Each has its own lifestyle, it is important to eat healthy and have a good state of well-being. I appreciate your comment.
One recipe that really keeps me going includes two of the foods you mentioned -- eggs and bananas. I blend 1/2 banana, 2 avocados, 4 raw eggs, a tablespoon of raw honey -- or more if I want it sweeter -- and a half tray of ice cubes made from purified water, until it's creamy. Tastes like a banana milk shake, is filling, and keeps me energized until late afternoon. I also find it good for when I feel "toxic" ...acidic, or like my nerves are raw ...it's very soothing to my whole body. Thanks for the great post!!
Hello, @sungazer!
Thank you for your recipe, I will try it tomorrow morning. I like smoothies with bananas and avocado because it gives a creamy consistency. Have a nice day!
Let me know how you like it. I love them! I've thought of adding raw carob powder to make it chocolately ...that would probably make it even better.
I am a huge fan of a healthy food. It is so important to eat healthy and still so difficult sometimes. Often you just grab something quickly and that's it..
Sometimes I leave home in a hurry and I tend to eat fruits, almonds and nuts or drink a smoothie. I try to avoid eating sausages, salami and other unhealthy foods because I want to keep myself in shape.
Thank you for your visit!
Yes, I also usually try to use vegetable and fruits instead of greasy and heavy foods. This way body functions better and stays "cleaner".
Thanks. I really needed this. Very Informative. I eat yogurt daily, but definitely would like to step it up with some of the other foods you mentioned.
How you do usually eat your Chia Seeds? In a cereal or oatmeal perhaps.
Hello, @nwjordan!
I eat chia seeds at breakfast. There are plenty of recipes. I prefer to add a spoon of chia seeds to greek yogurt and a teaspoon of honey. It's a delicious and healthy breakfast. You have to try them!
Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
