14 Steemians for 4,630 reps today (209,826 overall), done across 31 people from 9 countries in 90 days! Congrats to @notorious562 for crossing 10K reps and getting a 1 SBD award.
The Challenge:
At least 100 honest reps of exercise every day. No excuses. No bullsh*t. Just actions, positivity, and results. Only post AFTER your reps are done. Always support each other.
- You choose what types of exercise reps to do.
- 30 minutes of fitness walking, running, spinning, biking, cross-country skiing, etc., can count as 100 reps if you need to rest or can't use weights.
- I'll award 1 SBD for every individual 10,000 rep milestone. (10 SBD paid out)
- I manually process and update all cumulative figures daily. Not easy...
Conditions:
- Weights not required.
- Do real reps with good form, aiming for 100+.
- Start your reply with "Challenge Completed".
- Reply with the type of exercises and # of reps for each in a list.
- Cumulative tallies appreciated as a separate line.
- Only submit reps you've done, not ones you're planning to do.
- Use the tag "fitnesschallenge".
- Upvoting or resteeming is appreciated to reach more people.
Advice:
- Stretch before and after your exercise.
- Breathe properly on each rep.
- Quality over quantity.
- Hydrate throughout and afterwards.
- Eat a healthy snack with protein after.
- Do exercises you enjoy at first to build momentum for harder ones.
- Take before pictures to appreciate your results over time.
- Feel good about your accomplishments.
My Daily Challenge Completed - 100 reps:
-50 Calf Bar Raises (75 pounds)
-40 Bicep Bar Curls (75 pounds)
-10 Push-ups
My Daily Assessment:
Nothing notable other than I really need to get on a better sleeping schedule to have better energy throughout the day. I'll probably take an update picture tomorrow or Friday to post.

Feedback from @mightpossibly:
"I find it deeply satisfying to do these reps, which is a big deal. I've always hated the gym and prefer to exercise at home. But I've lacked the discipline to do it. It sort of feels like I have gym buddies now, without the hassle of going to the gym."
Feedback from @notorious562:
"I seriously cannot explain how much this group pushes and motivate me to keep working harder. I love this fitness community and the support and encouragement will help us achieve our goals."

Thursday Update: 50 push ups, 50 squats, 20 sit ups and 5 minutes abs exercise(60reps)
40 minutes football(actual one, not blood sport). Countless defensive clearances, one assist and one goal; I don't know how we're going to count my goal and assist as reps but they ideally should be 2million....each
Current total is 180 reps
Challenge completed! Before I get to my reps though a couple questions for you guys. Is there a point any of you recommend a belt, or should I just keep at it raw? Also I'm REALLY looking forward to my deload week in 2 weeks, is 6 weeks too long a cycle or should I cut it to 4?
Reps:
ATG Squats - 8x135, 8x165, 8x195, 8x225
Hanging Leg Raise - 10
Arnold Crunch - 2x12x80# - 2x12x100#
Hanging Leg circles - 3x10
Deadlift - 5x135, 5x185, 5x225, 5x245, 5x275
Seated Calf machine - 3x12x260#
Hack Squat machine - 3x10x180#
Total - 235
I've been on and off with a belt. If I hit a high enough weight that I feel like I need it, I use it. But I'm also actively trying to strengthen my body enough to not need it. Keep in mind though, that I have an incredibly weak posterior chain, which is an admitted weakness.
Before, I'd hit 135 on back squats and immediately grab for the belt. I can now safely go to 150ish before I feel the urgency to grab it. There are some days I'll even do a couple sets at that weight with no belt and finish off with a belt.
I guess it always goes back to the old adage of "Know your body." Don't avoid the use a belt just for the sake of not using it.
Yeah I feel like I'm getting to the point where it's time to think about it. I'm squatting and deadlifting over 1.5x my bodyweight for 5 reps now and already tweaked my back once on DLs. I'd probably only use it on lifts that are 275+
Yeah, you're doing quite a bit more weight overall than I am. But I certainly wouldn't risk hurting your back again though. If you hit a set and start to feel that core get a little weak, grab the belt and finish 'em off.

As I mentioned in yesterday's post I will be running a 15K approx 10 miles this Sunday. I really don't think I am completely prepared for this distance and this will be my first attempt at a 15K. However, I feel that with all the working out I have been doing I may be ready to tackle this run. I hope all of you had a great day.
Hit 200 today!!! Had an awesome shoulder day and tried out a cool new piece of cardio equipment! Here's the link to my latest blog about my workout!
Now that's how you rep women's day.
Heck yeah!!!!! 💪💪
Great job! Keeping working hard it definitely going to pay off in the near future.
Daily Challenge completed - No reps today
Today, only regeneration was on the agenda. I enjoyed a traditional Thai massage, drove a little bit with my scooter through the area and enjoyed the nice weather.
I'll be back on tomorrow.
After 32 days in a row, you've earned this day off!!
Challenge Completed (283 reps)
Worked out yesterday but forgot to post due to too much going on including my meal prep(working on a blog post for that). It was a light day( cardio only) since I was in a rush (30 minutes on Elliptical ARC Trainer).
Today, was upper body (back, bi's and tri's) and the pump felt great.
Elliptical 30 minutes - 100 reps
Wide grip assisted pull ups (3x12) 36 reps
Close grip assisted chin ups (3×10) 30 reps
Assisted Tricep Dips (3x15) 45 reps
Single Arm Lat Pull down 35lbs (3x12 each arm) 72 reps
Great job everyone still push forward!!
This is a picture of the weird machine I attempted to use for about 10 minutes...then my ankle got annoyed with it so I switched to the other elliptical. It is supposes to mimic running and eliminate impact of running, which it did. However, since I am 6ft tall, it couldn't quite accomodate my long stride so after a while my body said...screw this!! LOL Has anyone else seen or tried this machine before??
I'm personally scared of that machine. It looks like it's a robot. Do you gravitate towards machines to be easier on your ligaments and tendons?
LOL!!! It definitely caught my attention quickly!! Yes, I prefer some type of elliptical for lower impact but i do occasionally do the StairMaster or Run if I am in the mood!! I am flat footed so I have learned what types of impact my body can tolerate and what it can't through many years of training! Not to mention, I had to leave the military due to stress fractures in both legs due to the high impact running ...so I never want to experience that pain again!! :-P
Snapping to attention to salute!!
No gym for me lastnight I was busy with my minnow comp and shopping, will do a bit extra tonight ;)
