Welcome @musclegirlfusion from Illinois, USA with her first contribution. Also giving a shout out to @gruber.muc for his quiet and humble 24 consecutive days in a row since starting. Thanks also to @khufu for sending a kind gift recently. It was used for a protein bar in spirit!

The Challenge: At least 100 honest reps of exercise every day. No excuses. No bullsh*t. Just actions, positivity, and results. Only post AFTER your reps are done.

  • If you can't contribute yet, try to eat natural foods and stay well hydrated without the sugar for now.

  • It's ok to start with a number you're comfortable with if you can't reach 100. You choose what exercises to do.

  • 30 minutes of dedicated brisk walking, running, or SPINNING (new) can count as 100 reps if you're unable to lift or need to rest.

  • I'll award 1 SBD to each person who reaches every 10,000 rep milestone. So far, 8 SBD have been paid out.

My Daily Challenge Completed - 160 reps:

-40 Bar Curls (75 pounds)
-20 Shoulder Bar Presses (75 pounds)
-100 reps (45+ Minute Walk)

My Daily Assessment:

-Food for the day (open to feedback from @rmsbodybuilding and others): 1 lb ground beef, 2 chicken burritos, 2 greek yogurts, one 32-gram protein bar, 1 teaspoon of peanut butter, 1 plantain in olive oil, 2.5 servings of sautéed collard greens in olive oil, 1 banana, and water.

I chose to go light on the weights today since I'm planning on playing tennis tomorrow and don't want to be too sore for that. I'll do extra reps tomorrow night after I'm back home.

Feedback from @mightpossibly:

"I find it deeply satisfying to do these reps, which is a big deal. I've always hated the gym and prefer to exercise at home. But I've lacked the discipline to do it. It sort of feels like I have gym buddies now, without the hassle of going to the gym."

Feedback from @notorious562:

"I seriously cannot explain how much this group pushes and motivate me to keep working harder. I love this fitness community and the support and encouragement will help us achieve our goals."

...Easy day with plans for tennis tomorrow so I'm not too sore.

Daily Challenge Complete! 255 reps!

Leg Day!
Back Squat - 4x12
Leg Press - 3x12
Walking Lunges - 3x12
Hammy Curls - 3x15
Leg Extensions - 3x15
Hip Thrusters - 3x15

I considered doing a run with Apollo... then I walked down the stairs of my gym and instantly decided that wasn't possible lol.

Hip Thrusters are a new exercise for me. However, I recently came across an article in the Journal of Sports Science that describes some pretty significant strength gains from athletes with no hip thruster experience. Aside from staying active on here, I've been pretty absent from writing any posts over the last few weeks, so I'll probably find time today to do a short write up of the article.

With that being said, I wanted to try it out at the end of a routine, really just to get a feel for the exercise itself. I intend on implementing the actual plan to my workout starting next week to see where I land after two months. It'll be an interesting experiment to see if I see the same strength gains as these college athletes (I'm actually hoping for more :D).

Edit: I wrapped up the article outlining the research that was conducted. Check it out here!

A good reminder for me. I've never done these before but could really benefit from this for my upcoming season. I'll try to incorporate some into my home workout for now.

Daily challenge completed. 1 hour walk with high intensity. 150(?) reps. The “beast from the east”, the ice cold wind swiping in from Russia, Siberia, is still keeping the southern part of Norway in an “iron grip”. Temperatures down to -40 Celsius. The most severe cold weather in Oslo the past 10 years. Cross country skiing is impossible in this weather.

1 hour of fitness walking is 200 reps, especially in that weather! Great determination.

Challenge Completed - 125 reps
neutral grip pullups: 10, 10, 10 -> 30 reps
chinups: 12, 10, 10 -> 32 reps
tandem grip pullups: 8, 8, 7, 8 -> 31 reps
pullups: 5, 5, 5 -> 15 reps
narrow grip chinups: 7, 5, 5 -> 17 reps

February ended up being a tough month for me and I think I've only exercised 3 or 4 times in the last 3 weeks. But for March, I plan on doing something everyday and recording it here.

How many reps would an hour of yoga be? I plan on doing yoga on off days or when I am too sore for a more intense workout.

Glad you're back on the wagon. Yoga would count. Do you have a suggestion that would feel equitable? I've never done it before to know. How active would the yoga be?

100 reps would make sense to me. I'm doing the Yoga X workout from P90X so its pretty intense.

No gym for me last night team, spent some time trying to figure out what the heck is going on with my stupid computer. It freezes and have to keep resetting it. Maybe it's time to build a new one :D

Use a sledgehammer on it for 100 reps.

Squat or Lunge every time you restart your computer.

That's not a bad idea actually

Haha yeah I'm not far of doing that, stupid thing still won't work properly but I can get by :)

Daily Challenge Complete- Wednesday 2.28.18

Today's workout:
Push Ups-105
Squats-100
Knee to chest(pull up bar)- 85
1 Mile Run

Total = 295

Today I had a very limited time workout, but still managed to get a good workout in. My body is definitely sore and I have now surpassed 1,107 push ups in 2 weeks. If anyone is interested in joining me I would really appreciate the company. :)

Sorry i also accidentally posted this on your last post. Oops!

Great idea. I'm gonna stretch today and start in the am. I'm so excited! Glad I found you all to help me get it together! I love working with others. Health is wealth. Go Steemers! Go!

Bring it on!!

Good progress .....
