Flying car completes test flight between airports
https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-57651843

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is certainly technology that is looking like it has promise. I still dont get the concept since we have helicopters. I am on record as saying that it might end up moving cargo around but I dont think people will end up using it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

You may be right. The domain name I almost bought years ago aircar dot com, now redirects to aircargo carriers dot com. I could maybe see this as a fast shuttle service to avoid road traffic out of airports. But like you said, they have helicopters for that as well.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah I mean if helicopters arent widely used, why would VTOLs. I dont know, many there will be radically different pricing which could make them more appealing.

But think of the publicity when the first one crashes.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Exactly. I'm struggling to see where flying cars would fit in. Helicopters always get in the way. Maybe delivery services like Amazon and FedEx for upscale customers who want that package now? But then you have delivery drones as well. This may be yet another reason I didn't purchase that domain. I couldn't see a market for flying cars.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think they will be just a fancy option for rich hipsters or something like that

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

How bad will the crashes be? Will it smash into a building and cause a large amount of chaos?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Did you want to buy that to re-sell later or did you have plans for that domain?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That was back during the squatting phase when people read about that story of someone buying a domain name and then selling it for 12 million dollars. I would have held and then flipped it.

I didn't buy it due to the lack of information about researh into flying cars, thinking I'd have to hold it too long.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

So did it sell yet or are you still waiting?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh right

I have a friend who did that with the name of our hometown. It did not sell for much though

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I tend to agree with you on that one.

But they do look cool though... lol

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think the fact that it is something that dates back to the Jetsons is what is causing people to pursue this because it is "futuristic".

I think autonomous driving and bullet trains will be a bigger deal.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, that's probably the case

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Do they have any plans on preventing stuff from falling off the car? Gravity can kill if they just toss a can from outside the window.

I am also interested in whether or not airports would actually use it...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Good point, hadn't thought of that, recalling junk thrown out of cars on the highway. I don't know how high these things will be flying though. I picture them flying between buildings in large cities as in Blade Runner.

source

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Again another futuristic concept that is bored into the minds of people. I am not sure this is what we should be striving for with our "futurism".

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I recall trying to figure out the range of these things and how they would be fueled and couldn't see them "taking off" so to speak. :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I mentioned that the other day although I doubt they will have windows that open.

But it is a concern. What if a wheel falls off. That could really cause a major problem.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, a can is not really a problem.. I think considering terminal velocity a can or other smaller pieces of trash wouldn't be too much of an issue but a wheel could be devastating depending where it lands

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Gravity can kill if they just toss a can from outside the window.

That's a valid point. Can't imagine people doing drunk driving or flying.

I am wondering how are they going to do the driving license test for these things. 😂

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I would imagine they are working on autonomous on that end of things also.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Wow man. It'd be really cool to have one of those. 😂

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Side-effects of the hard-fork. It looks like people will be voting on things before the hard fork for a while. I don't plan on doing so though.

https://leofinance.io/@edicted/hf-25-goes-off-with-a-hitch

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah that is getting some attention. Oh well. It is only a week and some will gain, others will lose.

It is something to talk about for another 6 days.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Does not really make much difference to me one way or another.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well not much because in the long run, it won't make too much of a difference.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Crushed my curation but, hell, it is only another 5 days so no matter.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Same here. I'll just do what I usually do

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's like one of those self-healing polymers. By the time you notice it, it's fixed.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

By the time you apply a fix to it, it's already fixed. 😅

If anyone doesn't like it just way 5 days.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What's happening? I am a little confused. Is it harmful to upvote posts that were done before the HF?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Anything you voted before the hard fork will no longer have curation rewards and it will all go to the late voters (after hard fork). It will last until 1 week after the hard fork.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Got it. Thanks for the info. That's why I have been getting upvotes on older posts. 😂

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

In spite of the pullback, there are still a lot of Bitcoin optimists.

Bitcoin to $280K.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is possible. According to some videos I saw and some analysis I have also seen, it will depend on what happens (if it drops) at the 30k level. If it fails to keep it then the bull traders might capitulate and if it doesn't then the bears might.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think this idea is a bit longer term. Wherever we bottom, that is probably the last time at those levels. We might never see $20K again which was the all time high for a long time.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I think I think its almost decision time for BTC so 280k is probably still on the tables for now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The chartist seems to think so. I think Stock-2-Flow has it around there also.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, I agree with that as I'm also an optmistic

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Does HBD (Hive Backed Dollars) within the 3-day withdrawing period still earn the 7% (as of now) interest? 🤔

I am not sure. Maybe @amr008 knows since he tends to look at the code.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hey @amr008! 👋 Can you answer my question about the HBD being withdrawn from savings still getting interest or not? 😁 Thanks! 😅

I am not really sure about this . I will take a look at the code tomorrow and let you know :) My guess is it will still be available .

May I know what you found out regarding the HBD being withdrawn getting the interest as if they are still in savings? 🤔 Thanks! 😅

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks for trying to answer my question! 🙂

@amr008 might release details about it really soon! 🤔😀

Yes I believe it would. I dont think the HBD is moved from savings until it ends up in the liquid part of your wallet.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I wondered about that because unstaking your Hive Power ("Powering Down") makes the 1/13 of your Hive Power being liquidated unusable. 🤔😅

Thanks for your answer! 😀

Defi built on BTC? It seems like they are trying to add in other features to make BTC more attractive.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah the latest upgrade appears to be really helping. I think they are going to have smart contract capabilities.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

With them being so late to the party, I am not so sure there are many people who want it. If the fees are in BTC, it might be really expensive too.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah I am not sure they can pull it off. Could be good for the price of the coin. But I think it is going to be tough to compete with Ethereum and some of the other chains that are establishing a foothold in that market.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Looks like BTC will be more than just a store of value.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Might be but I wouldn't bet on that. I think there is a major uphill battle there. We are going to see a lot of innovation.

Plus they still have the issue with scaling.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It depends. I think it will still primarily be a store of value since BTC only gets harder to get over time.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's cool. DeFi is huge now in crypto so I think it makes sense

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Staking is the most attractive feature for DeFi on BTC. Stake and forget for months or years.

Not so sure about the Liquidity pools and other complex farms unless they are auto vaults just like we have on Cub Finance.

Coinbase to Launch Apple-Like Crypto App Store – News Bitcoin News
https://news.bitcoin.com/coinbase-launch-apple-like-crypto-app-store/

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is just what we need, another centralized organization that is in control of things.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

True. Apple Store is already very strict with its terms and conditions. They ban so many apps already for stupid reasons. Coinbase's app store will be no different.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Very true

At work we develop a version of our app for iOS and dealing with Apple Store is a major pain in the ass. Sometimes we have to hold back a release just because Apple Store is acting up

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes, I have faced this situation at work place too. It sucks!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I think it was a natural course of things as they want more things than just to buy/sell crypto.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Taiwan doesn't seem to want the reunification. I guess tensions in that area will be increasing and I wonder what the current administration will do if conflict happens.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah I dont blame Taiwan. Xi is very dangerous. He is trying to eat all of the East. These other countries know they have no control if they join China in anything.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Not just the East, but any third world country through debt-trap diplomacy. Fuck China and it's 'Belt and Road Initiative'.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Keep in mind, the debt-trap most countries find themselves in came out of Europe. It was mostly the Europeans and Americans who put them there.

What we are seeing is just a shifting of the master but same slavery.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The Belt and Road Initiative pissed off the US bankers though but I haven't really seen any hard hits against them for it. Because China pretty much funded them using US dollars.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That "Belt and Road" is like a financial noose around the neck of countries foolish enough to fall for it. I was reading about how Montenegro got sucked into a billion dollar road to nowhere, that they now can't affoard to finish. If they don't pay China back, They have to cede land to them. Here's the money quote:

if Montenegro is not able to repay China's state-owned Export-Import Bank on time, the bank then has the right to seize land inside Montenegro, as long as it doesn't belong to the military or is used for diplomatic purposes.

If you get into bed with the Devil, you're going to get screwed. The US needs to fund an honest and fair version of this, so that these countries can get out from under China.

source

Who was it Patton? or MacArthur that wanted to keep going during WWII until we reached the Pacific? War with China is inevitiable. We need to make sure we're ready.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The US needs to fund an honest and fair version of this, so that these countries can get out from under China.

When has the US ever been fair or honest about anything?

Do not forget, much of the colonization of the last couple hundred years came from the Americans as well as Europeans.

Honestly, China is no worse than the Western countries. We pillaged the same way.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ah, I see what you're saying re the United Fruit Company in Latin America. Looks like the people of Montenegro will pay the price for the decisions of their leaders.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah the United States havent exactly been saints on a global scale either. Not the Spanish, French, or Brits over the centuries.

It seems everyone is excited about some of the features of the latest Hard Fork.

Let us know your thoughts and experience so far.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Like all the other hardforks, I will just keep plugging along. I am happy with the majority of the changes. I believe we are headed in the right direction.

There will be those that will take exception with some of the changes to THE CODE due to their own agenda. We all have agendas. It is what it is.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah that I can see although I am not sure there are many who are quibbling with what is happening. A lot of the changes, I think, were well received. We will see how many of them get embraced and utilized.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I did hope that Resource Credits could be delegated, even though it posed challenges to Hive devs. 🤔

Anyway, since it's a new day, have a !PIZZA with some !LUV! 😁

That was left out of the fork because it was not required. That is something that can be handled separately.

I think it will happen shortly those. Maybe we see that in the next month or two.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't think there would be another hard fork in another month or two, especially since some Hive users were disappointed over losing their curation rewards because of the most recent hard fork 25. 🤔

That is what I was saying. That does not require a hard fork. That can be added to the codebase without forking it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Perhaps there are articles on Hive which explains either the functional or technical specifications of Resource Credit delegations, though it is hard to search for them. 🤔

I haven't really tried anything new but I wonder how many people are experimenting with the new features.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Some are going to require applications to build them like for recurring payments.

The HBD to savings is one thing that is already being utilized.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This was smooth. I am excited to see how curation will get affected on Hive. We are now moving to a more linear rewards curve as we have on Leo Finance.

Another thing that's intriguing me is the recurring payments feature. It's going to be a game-changer.

An odor-fighting T-shirt made of recycled crab... Made in Peru. You know you want one. :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's cool.

I bought a few "smart t-shirts" to try them out. I was skeptical at first but they really impressed me.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

How smart are they and what do they do?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Not really too smart. I think they are just using that buzzword for the hype that comes with it

They are pretty cool though. The ones I bought have an odor-fighting technology and the fabric is thermodynamic so it helps to keep you warm if it's too cold and helps you to cool down if it's too hot

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It gets really humid here in the summer and I used to wear cotton shirts thinking they were the best. However, they would collect the moisture instead of allowing it to dry. So a shirt like that would be great.

Someone told me to start wearing polyester shirts as they allow the sweat to evaporate better than cotton. It did work, but I recall seeing a safety video of people perishing in a burning building and they said the polyester shirts melted into the skin during fires and in that case cotton would have been the better in a fire.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I recall seeing a safety video of people perishing in a burning building and they said the polyester shirts melted into the skin during fires and in that case cotton would have been the better in a fire.

Very true. When I was in college every time we were into the chemistry labs we needed to be wearing our 100% cotton vests. Polyester was forbidden as it's a huge safety issue in case of a fire

These shirts I got aren't polyester though, so they are safer

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I never would have thought of that particular use for crabs though.

Neither would I. Very interesting

1/ This is a continuation of the discussion I was having with @magnacarta concerning formatting in yesterday's Leo Market Talk.

You may also find this useful in resizing images for your comments. It only works for static images, not Graphics Interface Format (GIF).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's very useful indeed. I suck at that so I need all the help I can get lol

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

3/ Just one of a number of tricks I have learned while posting on STEEM HIVE and its different interfaces over the years.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks for the additional info! Definitely good to know.

Perhaps there could be evergreen content devoted to formatting posts (or at least references we can use here). Beyond the basics, they could include tips, tricks, notes, even traps and pitfalls-- things most formatting guides don't cover:

  • limitations of Markdown;
  • limitations of HTML;
  • best place to store images if you post all over the place;
  • Markdown symbol/HTML element combinations which work and those which don't;

It's not a rush or a priority, but I think it would be good to leave behind for everyone else to use.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is a really good idea.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Very helpful stuff @sgt-dan.

We are all here to help each other. This is a gem for those who are looking at resizing images.

What can you say about the blockchain trading card game #AxieInfinity (https://axieinfinity.com/) which runs on the Ethereum blockchain? 🤔

at present, which costs a total of about $540 (again, plus gas fees). 💸😱💸 Nevertheless, many of those players say that they are earning so quickly that they were able to earn back their investment in just about 60 days. 🤑😅The game requires you to have at least 3 "Axies" (monster trading cards, much like those on #Splinterlands) to start playing, and each "Axie" costs about $180 (plus Ethereum gas fees)

@jancharlest

Not for me...

I don't really have a lot of time to play many games so I try to stick to the ones I already play.

I also try to favor stuff built on the Hive chain... ETH is usually a deal-breaker for me

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

#AxieInfinity players say that the earning potential is huge. 🤔

If you think that time is the limiting factor for you, then you can use their "scholarship program" (not related to real-life academics) where you can delegate at least 3 "Axies" to each of your "scholars" such that you don't have to play the game yourself, and you split the profits between you and each of your scholars. 🤓

Now that sounds interesting

I can pimp some dudes to play for me
NICE

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Earnings from "scholars" are usually split between 50% to 70% to the scholar relative to their earnings from the 3 (or more) Axies you delegated to them. 🤓

The owner of the Axies usually gets 30% to 50% of the scholars' profits, and can decide whether the owner or the scholar(s) is responsible for the fees. 🙂

The owner can set rules regarding the quota of each scholar (to ensure that each scholar maximizes the use of the delegated Axies), such that scholars that do not meet the requirement would have penalties up to 100% of their earnings. 😏

That seems to be well thought. Interesting little system they got going on

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

MonsterMarket TeamShare, such that the owner of the cards in Axie Infinity gets all the profit from the delegatees ("scholars") and is responsible for giving the share of the scholars. 🤓The delegation system in #AxieInfinity is different than that of #Splinterlands's

I'm being invited to play the game, but I don't want to dish out $600 to $1,000 just for the investment for the first 3 "Axies". 💸😅

Yea, it's a lot to pay upfront indeed

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Because of that price, many players choose to be "scholars" and accept the 30% to 50% cut from their earnings because they are either unwilling or unable to provide that much just to start playing. 🤓

Why would anyone want to be a scholar though instead of just playing for oneself and keeping all the earnings?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The more "Axies" you have, the more time you have to spend each day playing to prevent wasting your Energy. 🤓 More Axies = More Energy = More Earnings per day. 😅

Can a scholar have scholars of his own?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

ee(s) can use the Hive Power (or cards) as if they were their own, but are unable to send or delegate them to somebody else. 🤓No. 🙂 Technically, only the owner of the Axies has the ability to delegate to other accounts, which may serve as the "scholars". 😏 It's like delegated Hive Power (or cards on #Splinterlands), where the delegat

Yea I saw that when I saw the game being mentioned a few times. But those gas fees and everything else killed any notion of playing the game for me.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Same thing happened to me with Splinterlands.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What did you mean? 😮 Were you referring to the #Splinterlands versions before it became part of the Hive blockchain? 🤔

No, it was sometime late last year.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I did not understand what you meant when you said that the same thing happened to you with Splinterlands. 🤯😅

I was trying to buy in-game land with ETH and they wanted to charge me $900 to move a small amount of ETH. So I declined.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Players of that game know that Ethereum gas fees are really high, but they said that even if they subtract those fees from their sales, they still get huge profits. 🤔 They even boast their 100% return of investment within 60 days. 😅

Note that the 3 "Axies" that cost $540 in my example are the cheapest Axies, which are most likely not the great cards you could buy in the game's Marketplace. 😅

Yea and its an uphill battle since your playing with a weak deck.

Thanks for the encouragement. 😀

Have a !PIZZA! 😁

Anyway, I noticed that the words "thanks" and "have a !PIZZA" might be considered as duplicates by @amr008's bot. 😅

Good job buddy, keep doing that.

If we all do 4 everyday, we can amount some good numbers

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL I should have read your comment first. I just posted how if we had 20 people leaving 4 per day, that would be 80. That would be a ton to get some activity from.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lol its all good. We can use the extra incentive

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is what starts the process. Thanks for leaving those comments and making the commitment to it.

Imagine if we had 20 people doing the same thing. That would be 80 top level comments which to build from.

It is a numbers game and they can get big rather quickly.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks for your encouragement. 😀 However, I might soon run out of topics to start if I conversations too often! 🤯😅

I've been saying the same thing for years. This is how to market and get people on board.

Push the damn applications.

100%. The best way to do it. Don't go to them, let them come to you. ;)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thank You! So glad somebody said it and hopefully word will spread and action will be taken.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I saw that post earlier today and I think he is thinking about the right way to promote it. As it is right now, blogging for money doesn't have a good retention rate.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Damn that's a great post.

I think he hit the nail on the head there

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Look at this. It could be a bit deal. This turns plastic bottles into plastic filament.

Imagine what we could do with all the bottles that are out there. What a great invention.

These DIY recycling programs are great.

30 second video.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That would be great for a recycling plant on an industrial scale.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Or how about if every home had one of them and we all recycled our own plastic and was able to sell it easily.

Perhaps for crypto.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea it is. The issue probably becomes whether or not people have the tools or knowledge to do so.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's really nice. Waterbeds are full of plastic so things like that could help

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Someone decided to check into what happens during the pump and dump from social influencers. I feel sad after watching the video and everyone is just pointing their fingers at each other with no-one knowing who the mastermind is.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

A very sad state of affairs to be sure. Karma is a bitch. I am a firm believer in the rule of reciprocity (i.e., what comes around goes around).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea I don't even know who is wrong since all the stories contradict each other. At the same time, I am utterly disgusted by what they did under the guise of "save the kids".

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Typical. The United States Government has to stick its nose in other countries business.

It tell El Salvador to be responsible with Bitcoin.

This is code for regulate the hell out of it and let us know how it works. If successful, we will do the same thing.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well it gives them a tiny way out of the dollar and I am pretty sure the government isn't happy about it. After Europe did the same thing, I fully expected the US to do so as well.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The dollar usage by El Salvador is minor in comparison to the whole. It is the threat to the control factor more than anything.

These smaller countries are going to have to go rouge. There is no other way.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

All in the name of National Security I am sure.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well, not really surprised. They are not willing to let go of having full control of thigns

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Robinhood files for IPO.

Another crypto application/company is going public. It really is like 1999 again.

At least these companies have something working unlike that era though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well it looks like they were at a netloss even though they earned more from profits. Apparently they spent way too much on marketing on a video I watched earlier.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

When did making money become a part of IPO. Look at Uber and companies like that. The going public allows the angel investors to get out while the capital markets keep funding the losses.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Those Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) are quite trendy with these folks.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

China might well regret the banning of miners.

A company raises another $25 million to double the hashrate at its Kentucky facility

In spite of the jackasses in Congress, it looks like there are sections of the United States that are really hopping on board crypto.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I would tend to agree that China will regret it and I am not so sure about those Congressman.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am sure about him: he is a nitwit.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Wen Kentucky Whiskey Coin?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

There was a project like that a couple years back. It was of course, only for accredited investors.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Now that one I'd buy for sure. Kentucky bourbon is the best!!! Small batch from unknown distillers - is it 5 o'clock yet???

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I had my first drink at 4h30 pm today :)

I just couldn't wait any longer.... it was a crazy day

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I just had a beer with my dinner. It tasted like another!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ohh lets make it a thing!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Robinhood declaring IPO. It seems like they are managing about $80 billion dollars of investors money.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Deja Vu all over again.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

By the way, anyone have any news from Mayor Suarez in Miami?

Haven't heard much from him lately. Hopefully he gets something to pan out. He is a lot of talk at this point.

Guess he is a better spokesperson than John McAfee when you think about it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No I haven't heard of him lately. I don't know if its because there is no real big changes so he prefers not to say anything. In my opinion I think he may be facing troubles because he has to deal with the state before he pushes things though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

He still hasnt, to my knowledge, even gotten the City Council to approve using some of its Treasury on Bitcoin.

So I think he is doing a lot of talking but not much accomplishing at the moment.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is the latest video I could find about Mayor Suarez and cryptocurrency topics. Maybe there is something more recent around.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Haven't heard from him lately. I usually rely on you for news on that guy LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I do scan the crypto news sites a lot but havent seen much since he put out the Welcome Mat for Chinese miners (but then who didnt).

It seems the work from home movement is really taking hold. Here is an article that discusses the big changes coming to the workplace.

What is going to happen is this will be followed up by ones how people are losing their jobs because HR departments are not needed to the degree they are since people are separated.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Workplace experiments could continue for months — or longer

Sums up how long it will take before we find out the winner.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think the fact there is such a high turnover with a reported 90% of employees considering quitting their jobs tells the entire story.

Crypto is going to offer people a lot of ways to avoid the traditional job.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The sense of comfort in working from home is what stands out to me. I used to work in a call center and of course I had the luck of being seated next to this huge lady.

She tended to wear clothes that didn't breathe, like plastics and leather. Needless to say, she sweated up a storm and personally REEKED. I've almost never known women to smell bad, but she took the foul oder crown in the office, which left me almost gagging. Working from home would have been the answer to that! :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I hope I never have to go back.

I just have to keep this job long enough to be able to go full-time Hive, then I'm set

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Reminder of the Leofinance/Cubfinance AMA later today. It is going to start in 15 or 16 hours. So plan ahead.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I will wait for the rerun and the summaries for people here. Why doesn't someone ask them to put a regular time each week?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

They should. The problem is I think Khal has too much on his plate.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I wish they would. Last week I waited from 10AM until they got around to starting. Crazy waste of time. Maybe your answer of watching the rerun is better.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah the communication is still shitty.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh I think I might be able to catch it live this week

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Bitcoin versus Ethereum. It seems that there is a grand debate who will be king.

This is something that is interesting to watch. Of course, Hive is going to lap them both. LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, they will all be playing for second place soon!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's a dumb argument. Both can coexist but Eth isn't looking as hot given the test net results

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Stupid governments doing stupid stuff

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Do you think they mentioned the record cold in South America or the 30 degree (F) below average temperature throughout the middle of the US?

Nah, just how hot it is in Canada.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, things are getting pretty serious here.... some people are dying on the streets because of the cold

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

some people are dying on the streets

Is that clause literally or figuratively? 🤔😮

Sadly, it's quite literal.

At least 10 homeless people died in the last two days here in my city because of the cold. And that's only the ones I heard about.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Doesn't the government or charity organizations at least do something to prevent those people from succumbing to the cold? 😯

You'd think the government would do that, but the government excels at being incompetent and then people die.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

How about those working in charities? 🤔😯

I wonder why that's a non-story here? First time I've heard of it. Record cold?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, it's pretty cold in here for our standards. A cold wave coming from Antarctica caused the temperature to drop

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Doesn't fit into the global warming agenda. They highlight the record heat temperatures but ignore the record cold.

The middle of the United States is also tens of degrees below normal.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's interesting what gets emphasized and what doesn't.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

People do not seem to realize that 10x the number of people die from the cold as compared to heat.

If reportedly accurately, over 700 people died in Texas from that freeze that happened earlier in the year.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well that is definitely hot and I am complaining about 85 degrees....

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh good. More taxes coming.

We really do need DAOs to take off.

130 nations support the US proposal for a minimum global tax on corporations.

So if the tax companies across the board, wont they just raise their prices across the board?

Do you think the stupid politicians thought of that?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Its the politicians since they think more taxes = more funding for the government. Obvious the economy isn't that easy to explain.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Politicians have no clue nor any concern about the economy.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

lol politicians can't even understand the immediate effect of their actions, let alone 2nd layer and beyond

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Maybe we can time travel.

An experiment altered how the brain processes time.

Perhaps I can go back to my high school graduation, this time sober.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I have a feeling there will be a ton of issues. Can you change major events in the past and cause the future to change?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh, we don't have to worry about that yet. It's only a mental process, for now, so we may be able to experience past events, but not change them in any way

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

But that does seem like the next logical step for those power hungry people...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Maybe... but we're probably very far from anything like that at the moment

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Why???

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I find this fascinating. The very concept of time is something very interesting to me.

This will be another important step to unveil some more of the secrets of our own minds.

Question for the SEO crew on here:

What impact do comments have on SEO? Is there are more comments on a site (post) does that do anything. Do longer comments making the entire page longer help?

Are there some things we can do when commenting that will help things.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This sounds like a question for The CTP Swarm!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Best guess on my part is that since comments are content, they give the Google spider more to chew on.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Any guess how long it will take for the interest on HBD to be raised to 10%?

I am going to see within two weeks, by July 15th.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think it will be the end of the month since it took a while for the witnesses to move that average to 7%. Personally I think they want to see how many people deposit into the savings before deciding.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think you could be right. I heard some saying they would push for it right after the fork so maybe it's already in motion

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is a sure winner if it works.

How would you like your beer to follow you?

@tfranzini needs an automated bartender though. This only will work for beer drinkers.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh that is VERY cool

I hope they start selling those one day, I'd get me one for sure

An automated bartender would be great too. Sometimes I just want to do the drinking part so the robot could take care of the rest lol

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We need to get your an automated car before we start loading you up with a bartender robot and a robotic traveling beer cooler.

You will be sloshed all the time so we need to get you home safely.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I like how you see the big picture and think things through in advance LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

A mini-drone that flies up to you and pours, all you have to do is open your mouth! lol

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

lol some of those glasses are heavy so this could be nice indeed

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That would be amazing and you can do it for other drinks besides beer. How much energy does it use?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I prefer Modello, but hey, when I'm in a super lazy mood Heineken will do.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Robotic Pizza Makers

If this technology works, it will really alter how the entire industry operates. The profit margin, from 22% to 48% is huge. This can make sense financially.

Plus no need to have near the number of employees and a much smaller real estate footprint.

Now add in some drones to deliver and we are talking.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

image.png

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

DAMN

Pair this up with that beer robot from the other comment and I'm SET.

That would be two of my favorite things just a press of a button away

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is a very interesting idea. Imagine a restaurant with just a few of them in there.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think this concept will be more and more common very soon

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I second the drones and make sure that delivery cost is low so we can get cheap pizza without moving.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

And @tfranzini will send his beer cart over to you also.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Haha yup! There is a small fee of 1 beer per transaction though

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is a bit too high since I might only want a beer or two per transaction lol.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Doesn't one of the big pizza chains have 'Neuro' or something like that? A robotic autonomous vehicle to deliver pizza to your curbside?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I wonder how many jobs this will wipe out. Not that it is a bad thing since sorting garbage for recycling is crap work.

Company updates it recycling AI product

I imagine this will put tens of thousands of jobs at risk. We probably will not hear much about it though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't think it will remove that many jobs but those homeless might not be able to get by recycling.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's great. One issue about recycling is that the quality of the recycled materials is often not good enough to repurpose them to many applications.

Improving the quality of recycled materials could also increase their value, which could increase the % of total recycled material.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Can airlines stop losing people's luggage?

This is a major problem and one that AI and data management should be able to solve

Do you think airlines will ever stop losing luggage? I think we will have new means of travel before they do that.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I don't think they can ever stop losing luggage until they have some chip installed in every luggage. Different sizes and everything makes thing tough

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think we will have new means of travel before they do that.

That's a good point. You are probably right on that one

But I think that AI can really help with that. Maybe it wont completely eliminate the problem but it can drastically improve it

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If UPS and Amazon can keep track of millions of packages per day, I am not sure why airlines cant install something similar.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This story keeps getting play and it should. It shows the mindset of lawmakers and how they are truly against freedom and the people they are meant to be serving.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think its dumb to even try to reverse transaction on a decentralized block chain. It might work for centralized stuff though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

On the centralized one, for sure. But to even propose it like it is a backdoor to some tech a company created just shows cluelessness.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, they are nothing without the power over people's freedom and they know it so they will do whatever they can to try and remain relevant

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is why I believe the more people opt out by moving their money elsewhere, the greater the dent we put in their power basis.
