Cinnamon rolls have long been a cherished family treat, and there's something particularly special about the combination of sourdough with classic flavors. This recipe promises to yield the best soft, cinnamony, buttery sourdough cinnamon rolls - perfect for any holiday gathering. Today, we will walk through the process step by step, ensuring that you can create this delicious family favorite in your own kitchen.
Ingredients and Preparation
To start your journey towards the best cinnamon rolls, gather the following ingredients:
With your ingredients ready, you can either use a stand mixer or knead the dough by hand. For ease, the stand mixer is recommended.
Mixing the Dough
In the mixing bowl, combine the room temperature milk and the active sourdough starter. Next, add the cooled melted butter, followed by the eggs, which should be cracked into a separate bowl to prevent any eggshells from contaminating the mixture. Whisk in the vanilla extract, sugar, and salt until you achieve a cohesive mixture.
Gradually add the flour while mixing on low to medium speed, ensuring that you measure accurately to prevent overly dense cinnamon rolls. Once the flour is fully incorporated, increase your mixture speed and knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until it is soft and no longer sticking to the sides of the bowl.
If kneading by hand, this process should take about 6 to 8 minutes. Once ready, transfer the dough to a clean bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rest at room temperature for about two hours. For optimal flavor and texture, transfer the covered dough to the refrigerator for 8 to 12 hours. While this step can be skipped, the overnight refrigeration is highly advisable.
Rolling and Shaping the Rolls
When ready to roll out your dough, remove it from the fridge and allow it to sit at room temperature for about two hours. Preheat your oven and butter a 9x13-inch baking dish while lightly flouring your work surface. Roll the dough into a rectangle measuring approximately 17 by 10 inches.
Spread softened butter across the top of the dough, a crucial step as it helps the filling adhere. Sprinkle a generous mixture of brown sugar and ground cinnamon over the butter. To ensure a visually appealing result, cut the dough into strips (using a pizza cutter works best) before rolling them up tightly. Pinch the ends of each roll to prevent them from unraveling during the proofing phase.
Proofing and Baking
Arrange the prepared rolls in the buttered baking dish and cover them with a damp kitchen towel. Let them proof in a warm area for 2 to 3 hours, or until they've puffed up significantly. A common method is placing them in an oven with just the light on, since the gentle heat can encourage rising.
Once proofed, bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 400°F for about 18 to 20 minutes. It’s important to monitor them closely and remove them when the edges begin to turn golden. If you own a thermometer, the internal temperature should reach between 190°F and 200°F for optimal doneness.
Preparing the Icing
While the cinnamon rolls are baking, it’s time to whip up the icing. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and cream cheese, adding vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt. Begin mixing on low speed to avoid a cloud of sugar, then switch to high for 2 to 3 minutes until airy and light.
Once the cinnamon rolls are out of the oven, allow them to rest for 5 minutes before spreading on your homemade icing. The light warmth of the rolls will cause some of the icing to melt, making for a delicious glaze.
The Final Taste Test
This is the moment you’ve been waiting for. With the rolls baked and iced, it’s time for the all-important taste test. As you take your first bite, you’ll experience the delightful fluffiness, the richness of butter, and the perfect sweetness of the icing. The layers will peel apart beautifully, revealing the luxurious cinnamon-sugar filling within.
This recipe not only showcases robust flavors but brings the warmth and joy of family traditions into your kitchen. You might just find that these sourdough cinnamon rolls become your new favorite holiday treat, bringing smiles to everyone around the table.
Conclusion
Baking these sourdough cinnamon rolls is an engaging experience that yields incredibly satisfying results. It’s an excellent option for weekend brunches or festive occasions, and the delicious aroma wafting through your home will surely evoke the spirit of holiday gatherings. Don’t forget to enjoy every moment of this culinary adventure; after all, treating yourself and your family to such a delicious dessert is what makes baking worthwhile.
Greek cuisine is synonymous with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a rich culinary tradition. One of the best ways to experience these delicious elements at home is by preparing a Greek Chicken Bowl. This dish combines juicy, well-seasoned chicken with a vibrant Greek salad and a surprisingly delightful dressing that will leave your taste buds craving more. In this article, we’ll guide you through how to create this satisfying meal.
Gathering Your Ingredients
To start your Greek Chicken Bowl, you will need:
One pound of boneless, skinless chicken breast: Choose one large piece or two smaller breasts for even cooking.
To prepare the chicken, start by cutting your chicken breasts in half lengthwise. Transfer the cutlets to a mixing bowl or zip-top bag and add the marinade ingredients—oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Stir or seal the bag to ensure the chicken is coated evenly.
You can either cook the chicken immediately or let it marinate in the refrigerator for optimal flavor, preferably overnight. When you’re ready to cook, heat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook the chicken for four to five minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. After cooking, let the chicken rest on a cutting board for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing it into bite-sized pieces. This resting period is essential for redistributing the juices, ensuring every bite is juicy and flavorful.
Finish with feta cheese: Crumble or cube as you prefer for an extra salty kick.
Assembling the Bowl
With both the chicken and salad components ready, it’s time for the fun part: assembling your Greek Chicken Bowl. Consider setting it up buffet-style, letting everyone build their bowls to their liking. Start with a base of pita bread for those who desire a little extra carbohydrate. Then layer on the tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, avocados, olives, red onions, and generous servings of chicken.
The assembly process allows for creativity, so don’t be shy about personalizing your bowl! Once everything is piled high, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, sprinkle a touch of salt and pepper over the veggies, and include lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
The finish to your Greek Chicken Bowl is the dressing. A homemade tzatziki sauce adds a cucumber and yogurt base complimented by garlic, dill, salt, and pepper. It’s creamy and adds a refreshing flavor that perfectly ties together your bowl.
Drizzle a generous scoop of tzatziki over your assembled ingredients or serve it on the side for dipping. Toss gently for a homogenous mix or leave it to guests to combine their flavors based on personal preference.
This Greek Chicken Bowl is a hearty and satisfying meal that packs a punch in flavor and presentation. Each bite filled with juicy chicken, fresh vegetables, and the tang of tzatziki creates a memorable dining experience. Whether served on its own or alongside pita bread, it’s bound to impress.
Inspiration for this recipe stems from classic Greek dishes, merging beloved elements into something uniquely delightful. Sorry to disappoint you guys (@khaleelkazi and @simplegame). I made it home. 😁 Nice jack-knifed rig shutting down the left shoulder and the two lanes on the freeway, but we were able to squeak by on the right shoulder so it wasn't too big of a delay. Just in time for #lpud...
It took me a bit to figure out what I was looking at lol but yeah Bball honestly I find a little boring to watch it's just the same back and forth no real impressive plays. 3pointers or slam dunks
Just checked on chain and it appear you only have one "real" HBD transaction on layer one. Not sure how threads payment really work maybe different layer or something.
So we need to change the mindset that to "earn faster" you have to do blog posts.
This is just silly. Unless you are using bid-bot whale account curation trails.
Threads can earn you rewards just like blog posts.
Stop spending time on blog posts outside of InLeo and upvote and engage on threads more.
So many mindsets are stuck in the Hive world view that has not worked for the last 7 years.
I agree that we can earn decently on threads alone, however, I can't rule out wring blog post because I love doing it. The difference is that I do my blog post on inleo, earn or no earning.
I have mixed results with blogging. Most posts don't get much attention. On occasion, they make bank. However, if it were a reward for the effort put in, it doesn't even start to be worthwhile.
Don't feel pressured, friend. It was not my intention in my thread.
Sometimes I'm very slow at some things, but I believe it was through your post that I found out about BBHO.
From that moment on, I've always been putting the #bbh tag on my posts and the results have been very satisfactory. I'm committed to helping the community as well.

The crypto market in Eastern Europe is currently ranked as the fourth-largest cryptocurrency market worldwide; it now accounts for over 11% of the total crypto value transacted across the globe
Oh yeah totally forgot about LPUD honestly lol. Surprised they don't make a bigger deal about these things that actully get people involved, invested and positive for the ecosystem overall.
On #InLeo, the #crypto #x platform on the #hive #blockchain and beyond, the Leo Power Up Day #lpud event is here and so am I! Show up, be present, stake, this is the way!
One, would first need understand where the rewards are comming from before starting to question the wallet or transactions seen on chain.
Second, no one can convert HIVE rewards (from hive posts, and assuming 0% beneficiary) automatically without the account receiving the rewards and then doing something with them.
(assumes your account has no delegated keys)
So, when you say your HBD, do what do you mean?
The amount in the wallet? (if so, the answer is, only you can do stuff with it)
The amount pending payout (and assuming no beneficiaries, then the total amount will be yours too).
Any amount going to beneficiaries - Well, in this case, ANYthing can happen... but effectively anything that is going to beneficiaries is not yours anymore. Beneficiaries are only set during the first post/comment.
I think it's something like that. That UI reports it as DASH. Outside of the dash front though I don't see how they would auto convert your earned HBD into LEO though that really doesn't make sense.
I have the original logo for the site too, but it's just been sitting there. I'm sure someone savvy with the crypto stuff could do something awesome with it...
i literally havent thought about it in years. was a big project that we did and then i just lost interest. saw what it was appraised for, thought i'd see if anyone wanted it before i try selling it off chain
The logo looks cool, probably won't be buying, don't know what I would do with it. Do you have a public listed price? How many $Leo? Just curious no need to answer if private 😅
There's something amazing about Vigilantes. These people who try to uphold justice outside of the law. How to Create a Flavorful Greek Chicken Bowl
Part 2/7:
Simple seasonings: Oregano, garlic powder, salt, and freshly cracked black pepper combine to create a flavorful marinade.
Extra virgin olive oil: This adds moisture and richness to your chicken.
Fresh vegetables: You'll need cucumbers, tomatoes (cherry or heirloom), bell peppers, red onion, and avocado.
Kalamata olives: A must for that briny flavor.
Feta cheese: Crumbled or diced for a salty, creamy element.
Lemon wedges: For an extra hit of fresh flavor.
Pita bread: Cut into wedges as an optional accompaniment.
Preparing the Chicken
Part 3/7:
To prepare the chicken, start by cutting your chicken breasts in half lengthwise. Transfer the cutlets to a mixing bowl or zip-top bag and add the marinade ingredients—oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Stir or seal the bag to ensure the chicken is coated evenly.
You can either cook the chicken immediately or let it marinate in the refrigerator for optimal flavor, preferably overnight. When you’re ready to cook, heat a skillet or grill over medium heat. After cooking, let the chicken rest on a cutting board for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing it into bite-sized pieces. This resting period is essential for redistributing the juices, ensuring every bite is juicy and flavorful.
Part 4/7:
Crafting the Greek Salad
While the chicken is resting, it’s time to prepare the salad.
Slice the cucumbers: Opt for garden or English cucumbers with the skin left on for added texture.
Chop the tomatoes: Use various types of tomatoes based on your preference or availability.
Prepare the bell pepper: Any color works, just remove the seeds and chop into bite-sized pieces.
Slice the red onion: This adds color and a milder flavor; sweet onions or green onions are great substitutes if you prefer a gentler taste.
Chop the avocado: Though not traditional, it adds creaminess and enhances the overall taste.
Add the kalamata olives: Ensure they are pitted and chopped for easy consumption.
Part 5/7:
Assembling the Bowl
With both the chicken and salad components ready, it’s time for the fun part: assembling your Greek Chicken Bowl. Consider setting it up buffet-style, letting everyone build their bowls to their liking. Start with a base of pita bread for those who desire a little extra carbohydrate. The Secret Dressing: Tzatziki Sauce

I'm trying to find a similar game with a large map I can drive around in and run people over, lol
Why would they ask to install a spyware for playing a game, it looks they have something hidden
They call it anti-cheat but it's a recipe for disaster, not to mention a huge hit to performance etc
Just in time for #lpud...
glad you made it home safe 🦁
Whew! That must have scared people on board. Glad you made it out safe and sound.
Happy LPUD!
Good to have you back
Crazy
Wow. that is a super crazy stat.
It took me a bit to figure out what I was looking at lol but yeah Bball honestly I find a little boring to watch it's just the same back and forth no real impressive plays. 3pointers or slam dunks
yeah. It is frustrating. The hornets bulls game there was 73 3 pointers missed. Nobody wants to watch that.
hmmmm... that grouping has gotten better.
I think my Archer friend can group like that.
What is the game? I don't know a thing here.
this is basketball. nBA shot selection
Got that.
this is very clear the game has changed a lot since then. Maybe the strategies weren't working so they changed format

it doesn't look like I am earning HBD.
This is an image from my Wallet
Stake HBD to earn HBD.
yes! after I get Premium I shall. Stake it!
I just learned you can stake things that are not Vampires.
Oh. I would adventure with her!
maybe its in leo?
Yes my Leo is going up!
but my HP and HBD are not and the explorer thing says I am earning.
yup cuz that claim reward sectoin doesnt show leo earnings. they just convert it
I have Leo.
I know bro. I'm talking about the screenshot u showed earning hbd
Are there different wallets for users? I don't have anything on my Hive wallet, but the transaction records are there.
I think it is a keystore thing????
The mighty sages in the InLeo Team will solve it!
Even the reward on the dashboard record isn't updating correctly
yes, that is what I am saying.
If more people raise this to the team the faster it will be fixed.
Nothing here
mention it to the team. More voices faster the fix
You're earning HBD on your threads, if you want to earn higher HBD, you need to publish blog posts.
I understand. but the HBD I am earning is not showing up.
Well, it depends on the vote value on your upvoted threads.
Also, you can check the Hive keychain App to see if there are pending rewards to claim.
Maybe some frontend errors, I see different numbers for Leo too compare to on chain. Or maybe you got a dash payout already?
Just checked on chain and it appear you only have one "real" HBD transaction on layer one. Not sure how threads payment really work maybe different layer or something.
Where is a post or comment you would have expected to win HBD and you have not?
I think you would not earn much HBD if those who curate your threads have less HP.
Join us on Threads. Engage! Upvote! Earn!
I agree that we can earn decently on threads alone, however, I can't rule out wring blog post because I love doing it. The difference is that I do my blog post on inleo, earn or no earning.
Some of my blog posts earn less than 50 cents. If earnings are your focus then maybe threads is the way 😀

I have mixed results with blogging. Most posts don't get much attention. On occasion, they make bank. However, if it were a reward for the effort put in, it doesn't even start to be worthwhile.
yeah I guess you're right

I'd like to think it's true, but I'm still making more per post then threads. And I engage somewhat too
The season is ending and today I realized that I still hadn't improved this card.
Chaos Evoker is more interesting from level 4 onwards.

Happy #LPUD Lions!

155 I think... and I enabled automatic staking on keychain!
Minimal stuff... but worth teaching others nevertheless.

Nice nice!!! I'll always try to find your stuff and get it voted!
Don't feel pressured, friend. It was not my intention in my thread.
Sometimes I'm very slow at some things, but I believe it was through your post that I found out about BBHO.
From that moment on, I've always been putting the #bbh tag on my posts and the results have been very satisfactory. I'm committed to helping the community as well.
nah nah, i will make sure i do. i always try to find Lions posting on BBH. I have plenty of votes to give around :)
Hahaha...That's great to know, it's like music to my ears. LOL
Thanks!
Our pleasure :) !BBH !DOOK

have you connected your Hive account to the actifit app yet? You can use it to post about your sports achievements.

tnx for sharing! I have yet to dig into it. My main questions are .. can it connect with garmin watch rather than phone? Does my exact location remains private? !duo
You just got DUO from @rainbowdash4l.
They have 2/2 DUO calls left.

Yup, I'm ready for #lpud 💪 🦁
Thunk has 70 Leo right now.
I hope I can do the next LPUD.
You need 150?
Oh yeah totally forgot about LPUD honestly lol. Surprised they don't make a bigger deal about these things that actully get people involved, invested and positive for the ecosystem overall.
On #InLeo, the #crypto #x platform on the #hive #blockchain and beyond, the Leo Power Up Day #lpud event is here and so am I! Show up, be present, stake, this is the way!

#askleo this user says InLeo converts my HBD to LEO without me knowing about it. Is this true?
https://inleo.io/threads/view/shawnnft/re-thunk-answers-29f3umwzt
I think there is two miss-understandings here...
I think it's something like that. That UI reports it as DASH. Outside of the dash front though I don't see how they would auto convert your earned HBD into LEO though that really doesn't make sense.
I don't think so, I see LEO in my wallet. You can check your LEO wallet to see what you have earned.
So does anyone wanna buy a domain?
bitcoinbully.io
I have the original logo for the site too, but it's just been sitting there. I'm sure someone savvy with the crypto stuff could do something awesome with it...
Let me know!
wow is quite nice, but for crypto people
Lol
why not just relaunch it ?
Or just park it. Can’t be that much a year ??
i literally havent thought about it in years. was a big project that we did and then i just lost interest. saw what it was appraised for, thought i'd see if anyone wanted it before i try selling it off chain
awesome.
Yeah sell it if it has some value to it.
you can never tell with those appraisal apps. godaddy said it was worth about 1300.
but it's really whatever someone would pay for it.
this is true.
Do you have an X account?
You might be able to get someone on crypto X to buy it.
.io are a bit more expensive to maintain per year then .com close to 40-50€ instead of like 10-15€
yeah. that is why I let a bunch of .io lapse
The logo looks cool, probably won't be buying, don't know what I would do with it. Do you have a public listed price? How many $Leo? Just curious no need to answer if private 😅

There's something amazing about Vigilantes. These people who try to uphold justice outside of the law. I agree that they should be treated as criminals, (a system needs to be enforced,) but I don't think all criminals are bad! Some criminals, like Vigilantes, are cool!!! #freecompliments #cent #crossculture

I should probably be running my own Dash Masternode...
Need to check hardware requirements...
You can also outsource the Masternode to Hosting without losing the control of your $DASH
https://docs.dash.org/en/stable/docs/user/masternodes/hosting.html#hosting-services
Sounds pretty easy for me, like I have had many other master nodes.
I should be able to run one. Will explore more over Christmas after I have time to upgrade to HIVED 1.27.7 😎
1000 DASH seems quite easy... for running a node.

One of the coolest things I've done this year is to be able to make a list of the things I'm grateful for, from A to Z.
And certainly L was that I'm grateful for finding Leo
Can you share it with us?
